Thank you for posting this. My husband's grandparents used to winter over here 45-50 years ago, and he visited them. We are cruising to Puerto Vallarta Spring 2025. My husband wants to rent a car and visit it for nostalgia reasons. This will help him to get a little preview of all that has changed .
@alto4357 We bet it has grown quite a bit since then but it still has so much charm. We hope that he enjoys the video and you both enjoy the visit in 2025 as much as we enjoyed our time in the town. With any luck we will return someday. Thanks for watching!
My wife is from there and we are currently building a house and will be there permanently in a couple years. I love La Lapenita. I remember when nobody had cell phones or even house phones back in the day. It was like the Mexican mayberry.
@jeffscoggin5362 it looked like a wonderful place to settle. Great people, great food beautiful sunsets. We can see why you chose that town. We hope to be back there some day. Thanks for watching!
As a Canadian resident of LA Penita.... nice to hear the cool comments. Yes, our beach is not like Guayabitos but we do enjoy. LA Penita is more the working town while Guayabitos is the tourist side. Love Tiki's and a little know FYI, he and his fiance Cinnamon paid for a lot of the murals that feature dogs and cats. Hope you got of the beaten path to really see the Town, as well as the other side of the 200...Jazz Matthews
@JazzMatthews we wished we would have walked the beach to the right of the LA Penita sign. We really enjoyed the time we spent in your town the food was delicious, the people and the vibe were very welcoming. That is very cool that they paid for those murals. We really appreciate the art in Mexico and La Penita did not disappoint. We can see why you moved there. We hope to be back someday.. Thanks for watching!
@elviacastellanos9850 We didn't take a cab in La Penita but know exactly what you are talking about when it comes to the road. It definitely was not easy on the car. Thanks for watching!

Love the dogs in the restaurants
A lot of the murals in that town are animal themed.
The taxis are in very very bad conditions incredible in a turístico town the way full of holes no adoquín in the streets
