- I own NONE of the content shown in this video. They all belong to their respective owners. This video is only for educational purposes. If you wish to have your branding taken off this video, please contact me to do so. This video shows the history of PBS affiliates' logo identities.
First video to be produced under 4K, this is so small stations can be seen in a better view when zoomed in.
Music:
Eric Siday - Plenipoteniary (NET Final Logo Theme)
PBS Just Watch Us Now Instrumental Theme (1987)
PBS Just Watch Us Now Instrumental Theme (1989)
Michael Picton - PBS Rebrand 2009 Primary Theme - Фільми й анімація
This is such a great one!! Thank you for posting!!!!
Wow! I didn’t think anyone could find the majority of the WLJT 11 logos! Seriously, props to you!
The first theme played is the original NET theme by Eric Siday, who composed the infamous "S From Hell" theme for Screen Gems.
That theme National Educational Television used in the late 1960s is called "Plenipotentiary".
A nice one! Thanks for posting!
You gotta go right now you're not a TV station of the PBS TV network.
REALLY LOVE THIS THANK YOU
So, basically, Montana and Wyoming were the last states to get their own PBS member stations?
yes. They had to rely on cable or translators.
East Tennessee PBS and KET are available in cable systems throughout Harlan County, KY.
Cool!
Nostalgia ❤🎉
Eventually all PBS stations logo will be look basically the same.
Sad to see all of this. PBS station logos were some of best in the US.

I'm British, the same thing happened with ITV, our second major channel behind the BBC, unlike the BBC it was modelled on your networks and was separated into distinctive regions, as a result they had their own original logo and identity which still holds up today. However, since 1989 years ago ITV has gradually chipped away at those regions away to become one whole network with it achieving its goal in the late 1990s/early 2000s. This Killed Public Television!
From 2:23, I like this music 🎶 because it's my favorite. So I love it! 😍
The short-lived independent TV station KFIZ-TV 34 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin (1968-1972) served as a secondary source for PBS programming (being piped in from WHA-TV 21 in Madison, Wisconsin) until WPNE-TV 38 signed on in Green Bay, Wisconsin as a new PBS member station in 1972, as part of what would eventually become PBS Wisconsin...
There's a mistake:
In New York City, NET did not debut on channel 13 until that station ended their NTA Film Network affiliation in 1961 and was independent for a few months before becoming the new NET member for New York City in 1962...
Finally
2:22 character mayhem opening 1 character control instrumental
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!! A Remake!
What Music was used for this? Also I need links for the music.
that's why you have to read the description
For links, actually after read the description, you need to search the song on YT.
I have a question: do you make some broadcasters white cuz you dont know them or cant find an image of them
Yeah I can't find an image of them
PBS Through The Years
SUPER DUPER EXTREMELY MAJOR CUT! MICHAEL PICTON! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE????
Some of these are placed a bit odd (Salt Lake City is in the northern bit of Utah, not off to the west) but that's the only issue this one has, unlike the previous one. Maybe a few inaccuracies, but I don't know for sure, someone else could probably spot them. I'd say it's a leg up on the old version for sure
He still got New York’s main wrong. WATV was commercial until 1962, so 1961 should show WNYC. It should have been blank from 1953 - 1960.
Pioneer pbs should be a little bigger.
That must’ve been a pain to produce
the NBC one is worse, it's been stuck in production since 2018 and I don't think I'm halfway in
@@TheIridiumic138 wait... i thought NBC was a *radio* broadcaster
@@TheIridiumic138 I like AETN Reason: It's So Cool!
