i like ariana a lot, i admire her singing and her performances, but what does she really mean when she says she is "creating new things" when actually in all her songs from her albums she is barely involved? i mean, 80% of dangerous woman wasn't written by her nor produced by her soo... i hope now she is actually writing something and creating the things she puts out.
she actually does write a lot of her music! she didn't have a publishing deal for the first 2 years of her career and she's spoken about it before so basically she couldn't get the proper credit for all the songs she wrote on Yours Truly and My Everything but if you check the credits on Dangerous Woman she wrote more than half the album. She also wrote on every song on her ep Christmas and Chill. I don't know how much producing she actually does but she has the ability to and she's showcased it before during old videos on her UA-cam channel and certain performances :)
she literally owns her own studio and has been in it non stop since she released christmas and chill, an entire ep of songs she wrote and produced solo with victoria monet 🤔 she might not have contributed a lot to her hit singles and songs when she first started out but anyone who's been following this chick knows she dedicates her heart and soul into the creative process of a majority of what she puts out. look up videos of her using her looping machine from when she was just thirteen years old, or any video from the victorious days where she'd literally sit in a circle and harmonize with liz and leon. she's in the music industry and has to cater to what sells and what'll make her and her manager successful. she's been dropping music on soundcloud and featuring on more and more music that fits into the category she's trying to go for. ariana was just recently granted the right to be credited on her own music, she was writing a lot of her stuff for a long as time without her name in the credentials. she 100% has the potential to release some of the greatest music of our generation, she just needs a bigger step in the right direction
