I took a political science class on Political Thought in the Muslim world, even as a Muslim, I was lost and confused between al-Kindi and Ibn Sina, al-Farabi and al Mutanabbi -- I'm really glad to see Muslim channels explore these topics so we are not lost in our own history.
Salaam! In the modern day, there is a Mutakallimum who is doing good work in the exact space you've mentioned, Shaykh Hamza Karamali. He trained in Jordan, UAE, Kuwait and Jamia Nizamiyya in Hyderabad, India and has set up an institute dedicated to tackling atheism through engagement with the Islamic tradition and educating Muslims in kalaam. I'd love to see him on your podcast, I think we'd all benefit from a discussion on tradition Vs modern curricula and Kalaam in the modern day between you and him.
You didn’t mention mamluks, the whole of Egyptian scholars happens under that backdrop and you find difference between egyptian and ottoman hanafi scholarship and their outlook on Kalam also. Especially as it comes to be akhbarian

ooh juicy title! Love the ustadhs passion on kalaam, aqidah, logic and philosophy, even though he says it's not his first love.

Beautiful.
Logic is a lost art.
Today so many deobandi madrassa no longer teach it. Very sad
Please make the institute an in-person, and not an online one!
