How You can Pray for IDF Soldiers Serving in Israel Today

Have you ever felt yourself at a loss for words when you’re praying? If so you are not alone.
Believers like you, from all over the world are praying for the difficult, ongoing situation here in Israel.
They are praying for innocent people on both sides of the conflict and for leaders to make right decisions.
They are praying for the hostages and for Israel’s sons and daughters serving in the Israeli Defense Forces.
Did you know that serving in the IDF is compulsory for both men and women in Israel? Men serve for up to 3 years and woman serve for a minimum of 2 years. After mandatory service is complete many of these men and women will be kept on in army reserves until they are in their 40’s.
If it is on your heart to pray for the soldiers one of the ways we like to pray for them is by using the words Aaron was given to pray over the children of Israel:
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:23-26)
