  • In this video I demonstrate the Brad Pitt haircut from his newest movie "Fury". This haircut is pretty much an undercut haircut which is a popular trend for men.
    I used a number 1 guard on my clippers and cut the signed and back to just above the ear.
    In the movie, his hair seemed a bit choppy and different lengths where as mine is a bit more uniform.

    Your video was very good and easy to follow, I just gave my 8 year old this cut myself and it turned out amazing looks like a professional did it. My son loved Brad Pitt in Fury and really wanted this cut so I cut his very long hair off and he looks so good. Thanks again.

    Awesome video man. I was so tired of always having barbers mess it up big time. It just never quite looked the way I wanted it. I started watching this video and the other one you had that was about 10 mins long and Voilà. I've been doing my hair ever since my hair is on point. Your videos have been so helpful. Thanks much. Keep it up

    TheSalonGuy , I know you've done undercuts to death, but take a look at the character Arthur Shelby Jr on the BBC show Peaky Blinders. The show is on Netflix, but you can find images of him. Fantastic show, by the way. Anyway, he has a real unique 1920s take on it and it probably the most severe looking undercut I've seen yet (even more so than either of the Pitts). Looks the way they cut is hair is to have the front super super long to slick back, reaching to the back, and then the middle and back of the top of the head is much shorter. In Season 1 he has this crazy fade on the sides, as well. Season 2 is a more traditional undercut. There's lots of shots where his hair is hanging on the sides so you can see the cut better. I dunno, thought it might be fun to see you do and learn exactly what the cut is. Great channel, by the way!

      Andrew Gallagher Yesss!! Right now I sort of have the Brad Pitt in Fury look, but I'm going for a bit more length and by summer transition into an Arthur Shelby look, but with slightly more fade on the sides to avoid that relatively thick line he has. One of the best haircuts and the best shows!

  • @Reaper-ux9iu
    @Reaper-ux9iu 8 років тому +85

    That haircut wasn't even done correctly.
    If you had actually looked at pictures of the hairstyle you would've seen that the sides and back are faded up.
    The sides fade up with a little bit of hair left before the top, and the back fades up from a V into the top of the hair.
    I've been to 3 different barbers trying to get this haircut and they all fucked it up because they didn't pay attention to how the hair actually is. They all just assume it's a basic undercut.

      Go for it. I think it gives off confidence. Shows you will step out of the box. And you care what you look like (unlike those one side shave rest long undercuys that only work if your are in a band). I remember when my stylist and I came across this cut (after almost 3 years of trial and error after cutting my luscious curly locks. See profile pic. Ha.) She was quite proud of herself. Every stylist had to take pictures from every angle. I keep saying it, but what makes it is the fade in the back. Instead of a dopey bowl cut look that an undercut with a straight back gives, a fade adds something. She starts my fade from just where the back of the head starts to round up to the scalp. She also ends with a point mirroring fade to finish neck line. Also, getting those proportions isn't easy. Has to be cut all kinds of angles. If i were a barber, I'd know how to explain what she does. Anyway, this keeps the top from going out as it goes up(can see this in the video). Also keeps the combed back bit from hanging over the shaved sides when you walk out the door. Not a great look. I just wish Brad never cut his like this. I look a lot less original. Hell. People i meet post fury think I got idea from him. Post an update. Work for you? Wish we could post pics. Guess I could change profile pic... If i knew how. Ha.

      TheSalonGuy I think they actually had a lot in comparison to some of your other videos, no disrespect though mate...It's just that a lot of the men's style you do are really similar because it's only so much one can do with faux hawks and pompadours. Don't get me wrong, you do them really well, better than the actual cuts, but it'll be nice to see a little more variety in the men's hairstyles. But that's just me...I still love your vids bro!

    Hi
    I am having curly hair and I straightened my hair recently. The problem am facing is am not able to give much volume to my hair as its falling down all the time. I am planing to buy a hairdryer. Will this going to help me achieve a good volume for my hair. My hair is falling in side wise from middle to sides. Even after combing my hair is falling side wise which i don't want.
    Can you suggest some product which can help give volume in front*** and also hold hair in back direction(not falling in side wise from middle).
    Will hairdryer going to help in this case ?

      What this guys is missing is the fade! Your just has to be about 2"s long to pull off cut. I have thick curly hair (less.curly when short) and mine is identical to Brads hair in the movie. Instead of shaving re while back and cutting top straight across (yuk!), shave with .5 guard on the sides and about 1 1/2" to 2" in the back. Instead of a "bowl cut" think of a U or a V if you are looking at back of the head. Where the inside is longer and outside shaved. I have mine finished up by coming to a point at neck line instead of same old straight cut off. And make sure they know what they are doing. Or you will end up hair falling to the side. If you do like the video and have the hair go out from the root like \___/, then clean shave lines are impossible. I've learned this over 2 years of trial and error finding the right cut for me (after I cut my long hair in profile pic.) I certainly across a cut identical to pitts in fury by finding the right stylist and being willing to wear a hat if experiment didn't work. Ha. Then Fury came out and now it's called the Fury. At least my cuts are free. She gets A LOT of buisness doing this cut.

    • @erikbailey3402
      @erikbailey3402 9 років тому +1

      You can get it. Never underestimate the power of a good product (I had one aid that was so strong I had to shampoo 2xs!). Also, NEVER blow dry frizzy hair. NEVER dry with a towel. Here is a tip I learned when I grew out my hair- get a t shirt and dry just enough like a towel. Style. Then wrap head in t shirt until dry. It will look like it looked wet all day. I ended up with curl luxurious lox. Just look at profile pic. Without shirt, afro city. Just use yer hand to make pomp. Up and back. Bend over, put blade of hand behind front hair height of pomp you want and stand up using other hand to 'comb' hair over hand. I never use a comb. Tends to cause frizz also. And it murder curls. Since I went to this cut about 2 years ago I stuck to hands. Good luck. Let me know if this works for you.

My hair is still pretty short.

      Yes

    • @erikbailey3402
      @erikbailey3402 9 років тому +3

      Yup. I do. Look at profile pic. Ha. Took a couple years of trial and error after I cut my long hair before we came across this same cut. It's an undercut with a low pomp and FADE in the back. That wasn't addressed in the video. Never ever end an undercut of any kind with a straight line in the back. To get the fury cut, baring a stylist with a straight razor and a light touch, use a .5 guard(if you look, it's almost scalped on the sides. 1 is a little long) on the sides and from neck up about an1", 1 1/2" then fade. From behind, it should look like U(with outside shaved and inside fade with front combed back.). You need about 2 to 3" minimum length top to get this exact cut. You will want someone patient and skilled. Besides the cutting... which is not as simple as video. With mine, and brads, I'm sure, a lot of cuts need to be made to keep the top from hanging over the clean Shaved line you got the cut for. You can see on the mannequin the pomp is \_/ shaped. You need some thinking most likely. But then again, all depends on how high you want your pomp. And never underestimate product! Best advice, rent Fury and take pictures of front, sides, back, and side where it shows back fade so know how low to start fade. And I finish up with a point instead of a straight line to finish up at neck line. To mirror the fade outline.
