You think your first bf/gf is who are going to marry, you can easily be pressured into giving up your virginity to keep a relationship, fight and make excuses to keep unhealthy partners just because " you love them so much", hormones make everything so dramatic like it's life or death. Sounds like Melanie is saying, if you can't handle this intense kind of relationship, I don't want you.
