Donkey Kong Country 3: Part 42: Kastle Kaos (Final Boss & Ending)

- Dixie Kong & Kiddy Kong have finally reached the lair of the mastermind behind Donkey Kong & Diddy Kong's disappearance. KAOS has returned to settle score against these two young apes.

First, attack the exposed head with a barrel. He will pop out, and a new head will appear to bombard you. Attack that with a barrel, too.
But then... KAOS is removed from the scene, and the TRUE villain of this game is revealed.
It's King K. Rool, of course! This time, instead of being a king or a pirate captain, he has now taken on a mad scientist persona, renaming himself Baron K. Roolenstein!
He had made KAOS out of his own wife's pots and pans, but banging him up like the Kongs did is sure to get his wife pretty steamed at him! So now he's just gonna take on the Kongs, himself!

K. Roolenstein will always fly around with his trusty dusty Propellerpack. What you gotta do is find a barrel and hit his back right on that pack. You can't do anything else to him but dodge his flying around, and he will also sometimes electrocute the ground for you to hang above to dodge.
If you can hit his back in this state, though, you can drop him into the lightning surge and zap him! Roast that croc and don't get roasted!
After a few zapping, K. Roolenstein will change the surge so that it happens for moment every few seconds. This is the final phase. At this point, you'll need to find a pulley in order to bring more barrels to your aid.
Zap him a few more times in this phase, and he's done. He'll make for a quick getaway, and then KAOS falls from above.

Turns out that Donkey & Diddy were stuffed inside that robot, and they couldn't get out because they were brainwashed.
Diddy was so impressed that his girlfriend and her baby cousin worked so hard to save them both, and Donkey was hoping that even Cranky Kong himself would approve of Dixie & Kiddy's most noble efforts of this whole adventure.
...nope. Cranky showed up, and he wasn't impressed with them AT ALL.
That old ape had it too good for too long. Looks like embarrassing him in Swanky's games wasn't enough. So Dixie & Kiddy decided to... "persuade" him to change his mind...

Same as always, the rest of the ending sequence focuses on all of the characters in the game, this time stages as a photo album Dixie set up.
First all of the Kremlings, then the non-Kremling enemies, then the sea creatures, then the bosses. Then it switches to the good guys, starting with all of the Animal Buddies, the Brothers Bear, then all of the helpful Kongs, and finally Dixie Kong & Kiddy Kong themselves.
You watch the credits of this game, and then finish off with a final rank that's based on how much of the game you've completed.

Thanks for watching, but this playthrough isn't quite over yet. There is still one more secret world to explore, more Bonus Rooms to find, more Bonus Coins to collects, and just a few more Banana Birds to rescue.

I miss these type of games, I wish they would make games like this again.
Same bro especially that these old games had rewards when finishing them well …some don’t give such a great reward but still FUN 🤩 nonetheless 👍. PS1 was my favorite library of games so much different type of genres back then. Of course I enjoyed the Mario and DK series as well 😌 just don’t got a Nintendo Console these days 😅. So … I’m kinda missing out 🤷♂️
Now a days it’s DLC for practically everything 😒 no fun in that 👎

That’s an interesting theory! Maybe K. Rool and the Kremlings also used parts of Kaos to make that flying crocodile ship from Dk64 too

How odd that a mad-scientist would use so many cook-related terminology...
...anyway, he might have had it for him, but you know what they say: evil geniuses are harder to smash than cockroaches!
And then there's that fact that he used _magic_ to imprison the Banana Bird Queen, despite his blatant _science_ theme...

Is it me, or am I the only one who noticed that DK and Diddy were not in listed in Dixie's scrapbook? DK at least got listed in the credits in the previous game.
Frankenstein, Scooby Doo and Wizard of Oz referenced in this eh? Interesting.
