Our nation's men and women of the military forces have defended our country, insured our freedom, and upheld the beliefs and principles that this great nation was built on. In May 2017, the City of Torrance continued its long-standing tradition in its 58th consecutive year of hosting an Armed Forces Day Celebration and Parade to honor the sacrifices of our nation's military.
This year, the City once again honored the men and women of our nation's military with a three-day celebration that began on Friday, May 19th and continued through Sunday, May 21st. The Parade was on Saturday, May 20th, and the honored branch was the United States Air Force. The City of Torrance is proud to help honor and thank the men and women of our nation's Armed Forces!

Thank you so much for posting this. This was the first year in many that I missed the festivities because I moved. I used to help my Dad way back when as he manned the Coast Guard displays, now my son is serving the in the Air Force so I was really sad to have missed this year.

I grew up in Torrance and our parade, which I believe is the largest of its kind in the US is abut showing the people, not precise military marching or shows of force.

Actually, try checking out any parade carried out by China and Russia. For something a little less up to date and old, search up a East German Parade or a North Korean one. Those are actual real parades. The Chilean parades are Prussian style, which looks way more professional when done by actual Germans, such as the East German ones. The Chileans did a good job recreating it, but it still is not the real deal, such as the Volksarmee 1989 parade.
