Personally the slow but sure build up to a dynamic finish to the song makes it a winner in my books. I think everyone feels the intensity and emotion the song conveys and it definitely put shivers up my spine. Great song!! GOOD LUCK AMANDA WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL SONG!

Hi, this is my take on this. Its a such beautiful song that makes me warm inside. Yes, its a bit slow in progression, but thats also what makes the dynamics in it, with her voice as main focus all the way. The (sorrowful) lyrics with the melody "breaks" something in me. Its so DELICATE, fragile, but still with that melody for enlighted hope. If they stage this corresponding what I heard, It could be magic. Its for sure in my top 10, dont know where exactley to put it yet. 🌹 ♥️

I love watching your reviews Shane. You’re gorgeous to look at obviously, especially when you smile, but more that I really appreciate what you say and the way you say it. Intelligent reviews, and so well spoken. Thanks for letting us share your Eurovision journey 😊
I was surprised when I first saw her name pop up for Greece a couple months ago, as I have heard her songs played a lot here in Norway and listened to her a fair bit (She is Norwegian/Greek), and it really isn't the sort of sound I would think of if you said Greece in Eurovision. But she has done Norway so proud, and I hope Greece will be happy with this too. She can sing too, so this could be a real moment live on the stage. Also, with the year(s) we've all had, these lyrics have got to resonate with people..?
I thought her surname sounded scandinavian!!!! Glad Greece arent thinking one dimensionally when it comes to Eurovision! I was looking back through all the songs they have sent this morning and you can't accuse Greece of sending the same thing/sound! Love that!
@@ShanesEurovisionReview Yeah, she took her artist name from the place she grew up in Norway (Tenfjord), so you were spot on there. Greece really always does mix it up. But in a way their songs always has a "Greek sound" to them, in a way this doesn't. This reminds me so much of other Norwegian artists like Sigrid, and that is in no way a negative thing either!
This song is the definition of the word “𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚”. Amanda’s vocals are heavenly amazing and the build-up from bridge to final chorus is pure art. Plus the fact that the song is not only about love but also related to what’s happening in the world right now (corona virus, war)and shows the pain we all experienced the recent years. This originality can give Greece the chance to 𝐰𝐢𝐧. I’ll am voting for 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐞 this year !🇬🇷💙
"Die Together" is an emotional ballad written by Amanda herself together with Bjørn Helge Gammelsæter. Amanda Georgiadis Tenfjord lives in Norway and is of Greek heritage. She was born in Ioannina in Greece and moved to Tenfjord in Norway with her family at the age of 3.
I quite like this but not in love with it yet. Really strong second half of the song, the build up takes longer than I expected so I think that is what is holding me back a bit. Love the bridge, the rhythm of the vocals, the building intensity in her delivery & the music. I think that's my favourite bit
Pure and simple ahahahah, Amanda looks a bit like Lorde to me, tbh. The song is nice, and the lyrics are quite powerful, I mean 'it's been a hell of a year'... and I like the way the song develops, hey there Ochman!
Not sure about this one - the lyrics are too depressing for me. But it is filmed in Symi which is my favourite Greek island. I was there for 3 weeks in 2020 xx
I like both, but I think the Netherlands' entry has some aspects that appeal to older folks or folks who like indie, folk, or country music - with greater inclusion of acoustic elements throughout the song - even when sung live. I love both songs though and they are both in my top 10.
What a great voice and the song is realy good... but I´m a liitle bit affraid that the song will be forgettable in the mass of good balads this year.... I realy need to see her live if she can bring the song to me how I would like it ;) By the way your new Intro clip is quite sweet... love it! ;)

It is a beautiful song - the production is amazing, lyrics are great and her voice is so pleasant. But I must admit, I did listen to it again this morning because I listened to too many songs yesterday and some other melody was stuck in my head, so I couldn't fully enjoy it.
Anybody pick up the word-play with "die together" and the die/dice they give each other, but then he gives up and doesn't get the dice from her? Is it just overanalysis on my part or could it be on purpose?
I was expecting something totally different when I read that this is gonna be a dark ballad. The lyrics are dark, but the song? Not in my standards. I'm not the fan of the first half of the song. It's pretty but little bit flat. But the second part is awesome....
Oh dear Shane, we are not agreeing much today. I'm really not feeling this very much at all, I think it is going to take a few listens and a live performance for me to get into this. But this isn't really my genre of music anyway, so I am not that surprised. As for the NF song in your intro, I can definitely remember it, is it from a Danish national selection? It definitely sounds Scandi in any case.
@@ShanesEurovisionReview I think the problem is the melody for me is not as instant. It's funny, I agree with your comments re. Greece Vs Netherlands but for me Netherlands is the one that was more instant for me. Die together is not a bad song by any stretch of the imagination, I just don't connect to it as much as other songs this year, even Malta and Denmark I can see myself listening to more than Greece. Also, I would be 100% here for Imogen Heap being the UK entrant for 2023. Love Hide and Seek.
its a good song but nothing too special for me,I respect the effort but yea just dont get any vibe from it And btw Shane i love your reactions keep up the good work
Okay I like it at the end. It was nothing special for me until the middle of the song, but towards the end I was feeling it more and more. Lyrics are deep and relatable but I'm not a fan of the way she sings, just like I don't like Mahmood's parts in Brividi, there is just something that bothers me in that kind of singing ( while it's becomming more and more popular, afcours it's not my thing - story of my life! and that annoys me a lot, but I can't help it).
After seeing the odds I was expecting some masterpiece and now I'm dissapointed. Totally don't get the hype. I know the song is good but it will place for me somewhere between 11 - 20 place.
