Absolutely hate early leavers. You're there to support the team. You've paid to be there and you're leaving early. There are fans that'd stay there. Those early leavers are an embarrassment. If you want freedom to take a piss at half time, stay at home. You want to beat the traffic, stay at home.
Ben I don't exactly understand the justification for that. What's the point in leaving early if you have a kid? There are always family and friends who can look after a kid if you're gone for an extra hour or two because of traffic. And I really don't understand why you'd leave early if the kid was with you. When I was a kid I stayed to the last whistle and so does my son. There's no valid excuse for it. You've payed and planned to watch a match. Get your money's worth and plan better.
lower tier doesn't have the congestion in terms of half-time concourse, I can leave my seat at half-time whistle get drink & go toilet n be back in time for 2nd half unless it's pretty cold n concourse is packed lol
I never leave my seat at half time, cant be arsed with queues. Have to be dying for the loo to leave. I never get the people that leave on 85, hate hate hate it, same with the 40mins clowns. You pay alot of money to go the game, it's around £150 for Me and my lad when alls considered, so times the wife comes too, and what a waste of money to miss 10 plus mins when your paying £150 for just 90mins entertainment anyway. I'd rather stay the 10 mins, and be stuck. In traffic for an extra 30mins Best exams of this was west Brom last year, sat in the back of the kop, me, wife and lad (14 then), it was a poor game, we wad down by one, alot leaving on 80. Origi came on and score late, we played about 10mins added on. The atmosphere was dead the fist 80,That last 15 was the best atmosphere ,out side of the euro nights all season. Liverpool come alive and the kop turned to electric, best I've seen too a long time. I think man city may of beat it later on In the season, but that 15 mins was magic the dicks that left missed it. Klopp got laughed at for bringing the players over to the kop that game, given it was a draw. But that was the moment klopp knew the kop was special. Can't wait till Everton, just hope it's not like last year, my lads first derby, I promised him marine atmosphere, bigger than city, bigger than the united euro game (didn't get to see dortmand), but with everyone poor show, the mood was somber, the crowd felt sorry for them, worst derby ever,, which is bizarre given the result. So you better turn up Everton! But not to much lol.
great video Paul. I went the Burnley game and tried the stand for the first time. really enjoyed it lots of space to move around and good atmosphere. Big thumbs up from me too!
Started in the boys pen, then the kop, myDad was a season ticket holder in the main stand, when he couldn’t go me and my 2 brothers took turn to piece going the game, the main stand never sung only the kop and the Anny Rd,after 20 years being on the waiting list for a season ticket I have my golden ticket! the atmosphere in the main stand has changed we all sing and get carried away,I thank my Dad Liverpool v Southampton 1-0 Kevin Keegan pen, back in the seventies in the main stand, thanks Dad you introduced me and my brothers to something no one can take away from me,my passion for Liverpool F.C.
I've been in the Upper Main Stand about 10 times this season now courtesy of the local £9 tickets and I've no complaints, the atmosphere can be hit and miss depending on the game but I've had some amazing experiences up there, it was absolutely bouncing for the Chelsea game with sections of fans standing up and encouraging the entire UMS to get up and chant. Yeah, you're pretty high up, but you still get an excellent view of the game and you're able to appreciate better the tactics that the team is employing as you can see everything without hinderance. As with all parts of Anfield, we need more seats for groups of friends to sit together and chant, that would probably be my only complaint.
Sat in the upper tier of the main stand twice and it has been good. Kop is my first choice but will take the main stand second if I am struggle for a kop ticket.
In 2015 or was it 14! I went to Stamford bridge to watch Chelsea V Sporting Lisbon, as it was a freezing night -3 I dressed like nanook of the North. I needn’t have bothered as instead of being cold I was roasted and had to remove layers of clothing. Not the hot air around me but they have powerful heaters in their main stand
I've got a season ticket at Charlton as its impossible to get to anfield every week altho i did go to the 5:1 vs hull which was a great experience in the main stand. Its much the same at the Valley the upper north (Kop) sing and no one else does
Just saw them against Watford in the main stand. It's brilliant when it comes to views the best to watch the game from. As far as atmosphere especially champions league game I'd still take the kop
Great vid lad. Just wish everybody would sing and bounce around for 90 and make essentially a Dortmund esque atmosphere. Imagine how awesome that would be
Aman Dhaliwal pretty ignorant view. Dortmunds atmosphere is better, if we could improve and take from that, then that's fantastic. We don't need to be Dortmund, but we can improve and Dortmund is an example of a top atmosphere
Cambo 1508 - You have to realise that Dortmund's atmosphere is "created" by loads of cheerleaders who cnstantly whip up the fans. Not sure why other clubs dont follow suit.
Watching this back now it just makes me laugh when he celebrates at 2:06 because now there's a few seconds of his camera pointing down but here it's just instantly into 'AHHHHHHAHAHAHA'. Amazing.
great video. I quite like the new main stand however for the smaller games, there's not enough proper fans. for the big games anfield is still boss. that's the main thing, nice view an' all.
Still not sat in the new Main Stand, it's impressive to look at, and I won't miss the supports, but will miss the paddock, loved sitting in there listening to the old guard moan. Won't miss the terrifyingly small and narrow concourse under the MS, Scarry tight under there. Always seemed like an accident waiting to happen.
I've been in the main stand dozens of times over the past 2 seasons. I was there for Dortmund. The Main Stand can and does sing. I think it's more of a myth or stereotype at this point. However, Wolves in the FA Cup... different story lol
The scenes for the second goal were the best thing about this video mate! Fucking limbs everywhere and I wish every goal was celebrated like that by all parts of the stadium. I would have loved to see a similar view of Gini's goal vs Arsenal in the 91st minute because that was incredible
Was in the Main Stand for the first time two weeks ago for the Newcastle game and nearly everyone, (apart from kids), were sitting side saddle due to a lack of leg room. Space between the rows is way too tight. Great result though and a great day all round.
Do you think it might be because the back of the main stand is cheaper up the back that people seemed more passionate as it'll be more working class people?
What kind of a question is that? Of course it’s good it’s fantastic in my opinion. It’s arguably the best stand in British football and European football. I can actually judge this stand as well because I’ve stood in it, and I must say the view from up there is nothing short of spectacular. I was lucky enough to go to Anfield on a tour because I live abit 2 and a half hours away from Liverpool.
I'm in the main stand every game paul. And come and speak to you and chris after the game. Main stand is decent sometimes the atmosphere is a bit low. But if we get up and get it bouncing it's decent. "Oh manchester is full of shit" against united in october i must have started that 10 times. Great video boss.
Those twats still drag the club a bit though. Need to be stood up a lot more. I once got told to sit down when Firminho was running into the fucking box against Southampton and again with Salah. Never went back there.
Let’s be honest Liverpool stands in general don’t have enough young passionate scousers there, including the Kop which is full old season ticket holders. Hotel Anfield or any bars down Anfield Road usually have better atmospheres
I understand there are hundreds of limited view seats at both ends. Come on! This is meant to be a brand new stand with an end to restricted views. Not just this but the goal end stands also have restricted view seating too. A brand new stadium with 60k + seating and NO limited views is the order. The site of Anfield itself limits extended building.
I got a veggie burger in the Main Stand, it was literally just 400 grams of salt on a bun. Got it complimentary though cos we got moved from the Kop so that Sir Kenny could be in the seat I was meant to be in. lol.
yes the stand is ace !!! but it's seems to have got more expensive !! and there are less tickets ,since they have built it !! I'm off to Stoke tomorrow come on Redmen ....
I was upset because I was gonna go to this match with my dad but I had been going through depression at that time and got hospitalised and couldn't watch it
+Douglas James Horne Back centre of the Kop mate, 305 or there abouts. Singing from start to finish. Best part of the whole ground (After being on the pitch)
Maych TV aww that's fab man! I try to get to as many games as I can as I live in Edinburgh I've been sat in every Stand just need a wee sit in the new main stand then that's it!
Malcolm G I think it's entirely possible for someone to be able to check current events on their phone during a game of football without their being any issue; I can't see how this inhibits on his ability to watch, enjoy and experience football in anyway. Theirs a difference between 'day trippers' and a man who is checking his phone and you have to be very careful when shaming and blaming people for normal actions because of your agenda. Like that guy with the words to ynwa written and some nob photoed it and but it on twitter shaming him.
Malcolm G and actually now having re-watched for that part of the video he's obviously checking BBC sport for either the score or the team sheet (for the bench maybe?) or another game. So before you start criticising fans perhaps think twice because ultimately we're all part of this community and we want to unite not divide. YNWA
The Main Stand is hindered by that stupid sloping roof, like Old Trafford. I'm a United Fan, but the Main Stand is not terrifying as Sir Alex Ferguson (North) Stand Not as bad as Bernabeu and Camp Nou though. Those two are joke, like you will fall from the top straight to the pitch.

Scheherazade That'd be funny if it were true, but 90% of Anfield is full of locals.
Deadpool couldn't agree more! Pisses me off when I see people leaving the etihad in the 85th minute, true fans stick til the end
Deadpool you wouldnt go and make a cuppa five minutes before the half would ye
"Is Liverpool's New Main Stand Any Good?"
Yeah it's alright I suppose.
Nice vid, Paul. Loving your effort into the ol' UA-cam at the moment.
Thank Billy, trying a few new things on this channel in the coming weeks.
Maych TV look forward to it 👍🏻
Maych TV I support Liverpool and my favourite player is COUTINHO what's usr?
If you ever want to check out the lower tier of the Main Stand i'll be happy to swap my season ticket with yours for a game some time.
Thanks mate. Reckon i'll try the Annie Road next.

Frankbrunorox yeah I was on back row UMS for the Chelsea game and I felt I had to force the atmosphere a lot of the time.
That’s nothing, the lower main stand is like being sat in a cafe in Dorset.
New main stand rocks but I miss the old tunnel! ynwa ☺
Sitting here for the first time later can’t wait

Lol Trent coming on as a sub😂😂
Brilliant video Paul, really wanted to see what it looked like up in the new Main Stand, thanks for the video pal
What is the legroom like in the new stand compared to the kop? Is it like
Wembley?
I have a season ticket in that stand and it is good
great video. I quite like the new main stand however for the smaller games, there's not enough proper fans. for the big games anfield is still boss. that's the main thing, nice view an' all.

whats the wheelchair access like on the main stand now... i want to go but ... if wheelchair access is terrible then ill be stickin to the kop
I was at anfield to the West ham game before christmas, and was sitting at row 87, almost at the top.... will never do it again....

If u have too spacious seat room, u get far less fans in. Or the stand ends up way further back. So its always a balancing act.
what game was this
parabéns ao Liverpool belo estádio pra um dos mais lindos👏👏👏
Love how at 3:03 he’s just chanting mane mane
Still not as high as level 7 at st James' park
Yeah I've been to st James park but you have no space to expand out so all you do is expand up am I right?
I'd say the early leavers were trying to get to the bathrooms first lol
Top vid la👌
Cheers Fin!
the goal celebrations actually sounded louder than your usual Kop videos

i swear i saw a Liverpool fan wearing a half&half scarf 🤔
It happens mate. People love them.
asskayy I can't understand how you consider yourself a hardcore fan when wearing half&half
loads do. its to mark the match
As an out of country fan i obviously bought the knock off half and half you can only get outside the game. You can buy a Liverpool scarf online.

No sloping roof means much poorer sound. ANd u will get wet and hit by cold, bitter winds. Everything needs to be balanced.
Anfields great cuz of the super fans they have but the architectural design of the stadium is very very poor
Of course it's very good! Liverpool main stand us as good and amazing as Liverpool now! Vow!Vow!Vow!
Question for you: "Why would Liverpool FC every more away from Anfield?". Answer for you: "They never should or will . . . idiot." Just get a shifty on and build that Anfield Road extension. An extra 8K capacity stand will gt us to 62,000 and that'll do very nicely, thank you. Just sayin'.
Please don't spoil the atmosphere at anfield

Yeh the dugout is sound
What is he saying
What was the MATCH??? I know it was Spurs👎
