    Hey it was a nice vlog ! I am planning to travel from Pune to bengaluru soon but Google maps were showing 16 hrs in total . After seeing your vlog am relieved. How much time you took in total ? . we are not planning any unnecessary stops.

      Prachi Parekh we started from Bangalore airport at 4:30pm and reached Pune Katraj around 5pm which was sunny. We did not stops except for any loo breaks. Since we did vlogging on way hence slowed down but ideal condition it takes 12 hours. I did 3 journeys on this highway between bangalore and pune by XUV500 and Tata Safari, all in takes around 12 hours with nice roads.

      Me and my wife used petrol pumps for toilet and she used Pee Buddy (Female urination device) if commode or toilets were soiled. Just ensure you have a liquid sanitizer to have your hands clean every time. Petrols pumps you just need to ask for toilet without any fuel top up as all free.

    Really thanks for sharing your experience it is indeed very helpful however I have one question regarding the road condition from Chitradurga to Hubli. I travelled to Goa last year in November and there were lot to flyover and construction was going on between same strech so it is done or still work in progress. Thanks in advance

      Shashank Tantri hey nice. You can do Bangalore to Pune in 12 hours non stop else 14 hours with stoppage. Family trips may take more time depending on needs on way. Awesome AWHO front washing 😍. Thanks for the comment. Go bindass and start morning 4am on road to enter Pune during day light. I always try to con trucks and heavy vehicle before Tumkur by driving early. Keep mouth freshners to chew when you feel sleepy that’s my 2 cents. 😜

      akshay karkera home quarantine is there when you return back to Karnataka. In Maharashtra they have strict rules which you can get online however one of my channel subscriber posted detailed travel experience in this same video. Namrata Subedhar comment please check.
      During my travel, my friend travel during unlock 2.0 and 3.0 check post where there before Kolhapur however we informed final destination and proceeded. Karnataka imposes home quarantine while return but they actually doing for road travels is still not sure. You can check covid19.mhpolice.in/ for some info though and Karnataka guidelines.

    This is great and boost up my confidence as well. I am also thinking to travel from Bangalore to Mathura with 1 year old baby. So one question, where did you stay in whole trip? and will that be fine to travel in one stretch? and is it safe to stay in somewhere inbetween? Thanks in advance!

    • @RovingCouple
      @RovingCouple  4 роки тому

      Manish Malik your route would be Bangalore - Nagpur - Bhopal - Mathura as Sagar road I won’t recommend having some bad patch. You would need one halt at Nagpur which you can start Bangalore around 4am driving on road to reach Nagpur by 7PM. You can find a good hotel however I usually stop at a nice public Petrol Pump which has good lighting and sleep in car. If you have foldable rear seats make it a bed for overnight sleep and move forward once morning. Again it completely depends how well you can manage with 1 year kid who may be cranky some times and you also might need hot water etc. If you plan to stay in car carry good chargers, Hot bottle car charging cup, lots of snacks with Bread and Butter, Coffee & Milk Power and lots of water bottles. All the best for your journey and drive safe & stay healthy.

    • @RovingCouple
      @RovingCouple  4 роки тому

      Oh sorry, I did mistake. Seems from Nagpur the way is Sagar Jhansi which is superb state highway. Don’t take diversion via Bhopal as Nagpur Sagar Jhansi road is very good either via Chindawara which is jungle are or Seoni road. Better take Chindwara road as Seoni Pench area is getting over bridge construction going on and it may delay you with traffic jam.

      However, Everyone recommend me to avoid travel during night specially in MP. So will follow this route.

    • @RovingCouple
      @RovingCouple  4 роки тому +1

      Manish Malik yes because MP most of the areas are abandoned and militarised zone due to naxal activities. Hence early morning 5-6am wake up and drive thru. All the best buddy and one more advice to keep yourself awake and fresh of hallucinations. If you don’t eat Ranjigandha Pan Masala just keep something else and try to take few grains in mouth for freshness. That’s my evolved secret to keep myself fresh for safe drives 😜. Even though I am not addicted however I will only take during long drives.

    Hi,
    This is a great video with a lot of insight of your trip. I wanted to know if you guys took e-pass for maharashtra or not because you took a halt in Pune? I also have a similar situation to halt in Pune and then move ahead to Rajasthan.

    • @RovingCouple
      @RovingCouple  4 роки тому

      We applied just to be safe if anyone asks however nothing was acknowledged. Since we were in Unlock 2.0 and as per the guidelines no epass required since July 1st hence we went without any epass. We were asked by some cops before Kolhapur and we provided info about our final destination which was ok with them. We stayed at our brother place for 8 hours sleep and started early morning which is mentioned in our next video. All was good overall and nothing was asked further to Pune also. Your best route is Bangalore Mumbai Surat Ahmedabad Rajasthan which is best highway I covered however you may need 2 stops. One Pune or Mumbai and second in Ahmedabad. I don’t see any transit pass is required so travel without fear but keep yo gadgets and good intact so no where you get affected by any disease. Stay healthy and have a safe drive.

    That you have managed to reach Raibareli in style and largely with panache speaks volumes of your self confidence.
    It could have been a difficult journey with no logistical support available. Luckily pallavi ji had sorted out everything on the food front and manishji on the driving front.

  • @NamsubhDev
    @NamsubhDev 4 роки тому +3

    Hello Roving couple,
    Thanks a ton for your travel video from BLR-Pune. It did help us a lot :)
    We finally traveled from Bangalore (Whitefield) to Mumbai (Andheri) on Saturday, 8-Aug-2020
    BLR-BOM road travel
    Distance covered: More than 1100 km
    Time Taken: 17.5 hours (5.00 am- 10.30 pm)
    Here are some points from our travel experience:
    1. To get out of Karnataka, no pass is required, not a single check happened till Karnataka border
    2. To enter Maharashtra, e-pass seems mandatory (they do ask for it). However, even if it is not approved, they still allow you to enter with a valid token number received as a message from respective district police (For us: we showed SMS received from Mumbai police)
    3. No checks of any apps are done (Arogya Setu, Seva Sindhu return journey date, etc nothing is checked). Questions like where you are coming from and where you are heading to are asked. That’s it!
    4. After entering Maharashtra, at every district level, they did ask us whether we are entering in their respective city or we are just passing by. Since our destination was Mumbai, we weren’t asked any further Qs or any checks
    5. No hotels are open on the highway until Maharashtra border. After crossing the border, there were a few hotels open for take away orders. It’s best to carry all meals
    6. Recharge your FastTag with sufficient balance to reach Mumbai (around 1300 INR was used up for crossing over 20 toll plazas) FastTag definitely helped to make our journey contactless
    7. Since Maharashtra was flooded with rains over the week, we contacted NHAI control number 1033 to check the situation of the highway and whether it was safe to travel. They were pretty responsive and we started our journey post-confirmation (Kolhapur showed high water level around the highway area, but the highway was unaffected and clear since rains had subsided since Friday evening)
    8. Best to start travel early in the morning so that you can avoid traffic and leave the city as early as possible
    9. Take sufficient breaks to avoid the fatigue to you as well as your car. While taking a break, it’s best to open the Bonet and let the ventilation cool down the engine. That definitely helps!
    10. Regular car maintenance prior to travel is advisable
    11. Public toilets can be avoided. You can carry a portable urination device or disposal. We personally weren’t comfortable using public toilets and preferred open spaces for urination (Tips for ladies: Can wear full-length dresses/skirts with large bottom and carry a dupatta/stoles to cover)
    Last but not the least, the best part of road travel is there are no mandatory home quarantine rules to enter Mumbai and there is no stamping as well. 😁✌🏼
    Thanks again!
    Namrata & Rohan

      I did Bangalore Mumbai in 15 hours via Safari hence if you don’t have any reason to stay, go in one stretch. Take Mumbai Pune Kolhapur route rather Mumbai Goa highway which is ghats and you would be slow till Kolhapur. Bangalore to Pune is exact 12 hours unless we need rest and go very slow in 14 hours with extra 2-3 hours between Pune Mumbai. In case you planning via ghats to Kolhapur yeah staying there only is better option. Roads are awesome all way Mumbai Pune Bangalore route however when you connect from Kolhapur to Dharwad Hubballi it contains single road in between. Rest all good till Bangalore.

      1. Take Break at Mumbai or Vapi outer in a nice hotel with all precautions and start next day one stretch to Jodhpur. Mumbai Ahmedabad is under golden quadrilateral hence 4 lane highway would take 5-6 hours.
      2. Pull as much as you can and after Mumbai stop at major city inside petrol bunk and start when you wake up.
      If I would be you, would prefer option 2 to stay healthy and avoid hotel room.
      In both cases keep lot of packed snacks, Bisleri water bottles, soft drinks and if possible car charging hot mug for coffee and sanitizer bottle. I travelled this route two time and experienced both options in Vapi (Hotel) and Surat (Petrol Bunk) on way to Gujarat and Jaipur trips. As I always say keep some mouth fresher to chew when you feel sleepy and cozy on free highways. Have a safe drive.

      shagagan yes movement is free during Unlock 3.0 however you going thru Maharashtra so their would be couple of checks. Be bold to inform transit and final destination. To be on safer side keep the Maharashtra Covid website pass, approved or not

    Hi, couple of requests. 1) you pay toll at many places, can you put the google map route for the route you are taking in an inset so that viewers know what may be best way from point a to b? 2) Some of your videos show how much toll you are paying at each post, can you provide information towards the end of video or in description, how much total toll you paid for the entire one way journey? 3) also after paying toll, can you show the video about the road condition 4) Likewise, total fuel cost and the cost associated with food and drink, 5) Restrooms condition if possible though even bringing it in your discussion while driving will help, and 6) most important: give a tour of your car, what make, model, year and variant as well as why you chose it over others? Thanks for interesting videos. I am an avid driver, I drive over 50K miles a year and all the above matters a lot to me and so I try to learn from fellow drivers. You don’t need epass for Pune or any transit. Many of our friends recently travelled however if you feel there are restrictions and you want to have pass take from www.punepolice.in/ website. They approve need base to travel within Pune. However state wise epass you can apply on serviceonline.gov.in/epass/ which no way mandatory during Unlock 2.0. I would suggest you can go through the rules or incoming rules for Unlock 3.0 from August 1st , 2020

      Ride 2 Rise to get to Bangalore you certainly need a pass from SevaSindhu website. From Bangalore to Mumbai at border, MH Police just asked me once if I had a pass, they saw and let me go. I travelled last week (Monday 13/7). I received the pass from SevaSindhu when I was half way through frm Bangalore to Mumbai so I had no issues at all. But they let go if you had an applied status. Entering Karnataka there are tons of checks and I am sure they won’t allow it without a pass.
