- This is video is a drive through of Mississippi Palisades State Park in Savanna IL. We definitely enjoyed our stay here including our 8 & 10 year old daughters. I will point out however that there is no real playground other than a swing set just outside of the campground itself and cell service through AT&T is non-existent in most of the campground (both of which we were ok with).
My friends and I used to camp here all the time in the 90’s. It was a lot more secluded then. All the creeks were lined with trees and brush making almost every campsite secluded. Much prettier too. It’s still a great place to go
Thank you for all those meaningless numbers; but magically when I opened the park map, suddenly they were no longer meaningless. 😮 Now I know a little better what to expect. I am glad you took the time to do this. Thanks again. Oh, by the way, that park PDF map also shows the 50 amp sites as well. There are about a dozen or so.
Glad you found it helpful. I plan to keep making more each time I go to a different campground. Just a low tech way to give people another tool for helping them pick campsites and get a general idea of what to expect at our various campgrounds.
thanks for this and happy trails to you
Thanks! Wish I saw this before I booked my site. 🙂
I think you have the opportunity to have a great time no matter what site you picked. Glad you liked the video though. Subscribe to the page and/or check back before you make your next reservations and hopefully these videos will be a useful tool to help you pick your campground or camp site.
Do they have 50 amp?
What would you say is the best tent site away from the rvs?
Unfortunately I didn't get walk through the tent camping area when I made this video but sites 48-53 or sites 177-182 are the tent camping areas with 53 being the farthest away from everyone based on the map that can be found at the following link.

Thank you for all those meaningless numbers.
And thank you for your meaningless comment. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and I wish you the best of New Years.
@@midwestcampingfamilynumbers really helped! I was trying to figure out what camp site to pick
@@yvg7772 glad they helped you pick a site that suits your needs. Hope you enjoy your trip and thanks for the comment.
