The other ladies tried hard, especially Hope Gramly, who throws a very nice ball. But Martin was by far the best bowler on the telecast. She not only hit the pocket the most consistently, but she hit it with power and angle. She's going to go far in the PWBA. Age 19, and already totally fearless.
Fantastic, loved her when she first appeared on the PWBA, making the stepladder finals at the Queens was an indication, she was the one to beat. Well done Jillian, look forward to watching you in the future.
That’s my cousin, Jillian! So proud of her!! Excellent bowling!! She’s the best bowler in the family, and we are all amazed by her skill and dedication. Love her and her parents!! 🎉❤👸🏼
I remember seeing her bowl in juniors 3-4 years ago. You could tell (then) she was going to be a fierce competitor. I'm a fan! Jillian Martin has the skills and the right attitude. She has a bright future and all the potential in the world.
This message comes just before the title match, looks like Jillian got comfortable in her last match against Kelly, she was a bit nervous in her first match but came back, good luck to her in the title match... Looks like she took her time when it was needed and put the pressure on her opponent, congratulations on your first title, I'm sure there are more to come...
Hate to say it but title match is what happens when you fall in love with/lean on urethane too much. She hurt herself by removing any miss room and playing a tighter than necessary line. Jillian was clearly showing that reactive was providing a lot of forgiveness. Gotta take it as a learning experience.
@@gunner-qf9eh definitely a possibility. I think we would've seen Hope more up the track to get within Jillian's zone. Instead she was up the gutter way to the right. Hard to say but I am and guess that you are also just an amatuer bowler so we are outsiders just guessing. Fun to speculate though.
Emask Studio, That was a fantastic upload of the Stepladder Finals of the USBC Queens. Also, The Oil Pattern did look tricky during the 1st Match of the USBC Queens.
@SpookySkeletonDD Well email Daria and tell her to get more consistent. She might be pretty, but throwing a 250 game, and then following it up with a 150 game isn't going to cut it.
I hate to take away from Martin’s great bowling ,but I find would find it extremely distracting if I was her opponent every time she yells hit it before her ball hits the pins
Is someone ever going to tell Kelly Kulick to stop trying to play right to left and keep the ball up the lane? She gets on TV and it never works, She does not hook it enough to do it.
@patrickshawley5251 You are NOT wrong in your analysis. However, I think something else COULD have been at play for Gramly's reason to throw urethane. Because of what urethane can do to a lane, PBA pro Anthony Simonsen and other PBA guys are on record saying that "SOMETIMES" they throw urethane for no other reason than to "muddy up the lane" and take away their opponents look to the pocket, and/or to bring the scoring down, specifically if they don't have a good look to the pocket and their opponent does. People think bowling is purely offensive, not true. You can also play defense as well. Jillian Martin was on a heater, and she showed no signs of slowing down. It would not shock me at all if Gramly and her tour rep realized this, didn't want to get into a shootout with Jillian, and opted to throw urethane in hopes it would take away Jillian's look, slow her scoring down, and drag the match into deep waters where shot making would be at a premium, instead of a strike fest. We know for a fact that happens on the PBA Tour. The pros have admitted it. Who's to say that wasn't Hope's strategy? Problem is Jillian Martin is a rare breed. She has one of the best releases in bowling which allows her to manipulate her ball speed, revs etc, unlike very few on the PWBA tour. So, she can and did have an answer for everything Hope threw at her in the title match. Not saying that's what Hope and her tour rep. But it's just something else to think about.
@@johnmclaughlin1475 That's a good comparison! I think Jillian could be better. She is most certainly farther along at age 19 than Feldman was at 19. Jillian reminds me of a female Pete Weber. Look at Jillian's release and hand. It has Pete Weber written all over it. That spells doom for the PWBA tour for decades to come.
Why don’t the announcers ever mention these girls aren’t throwing true rollers. Their poor releases have the ball rolling over the finger holes? That’s always a recipe for lower scores and unpredictable rolls.
@jimmyjames6267 That's the best troll job you can do? Really? C'mon Jimmy! You can do better than that! I refuse to believe that's the best you could pull from your basement troll handbook. Ok let's try again. Give us a good troll comment Jimmy. We believe in you!!

dont agree, gramly just missed shots, the ball was coming out of her hand all wrong, Boomer bowled really well, she got very unlucky pinfall.
Definitely doomed herself.
Great job hope! I’m rooting for u always

Felicia Wong is perfectly imperfect. I just love how she approaches the game and manages her emotions. Such a great player.
I've been watching Kelly from the start and her personal life is a big mystery.
Gramly should be a model ❤😂
She's got the mental frame already.

Martin has a beautiful release and excellent revs. Kulick's is just sooo freaking dated, the 90s called, they want their release back.

Urethane with that much oil on the lanes seems silly. All the ball can do is slide into the pins.
