It cracks me up how you can see the guy in the tree puppet. I wonder who he is, and if he knows that he was in this unseen cut shot of The Wizard of Oz.
Am i the only one who thinks this video is terrifying? The music, black and white still images, the wa the camera moves fast and does random closeups its just freaky
When this was at the very end of my vhs copy of the wizard of oz when I was a kid after the documentary talking about the movie this would scare me a little. The music and the black and white stills give off something ominous it still gives me chills lol
What the butt to do but the digital pag song was removed from thishe from the final film this song was too much and it was destined to be cut from the film on January 39❤
@@ZiggyTheAdventurer There is an actual creature by that name in the movie. And in real life, "Jitterbug" meant more than a dance, it was a way of life, like Hip-Hop. Judy Garland was a Jitterbug.
@@MaskedMan66 yeah there was supposed to be a "Jitterbug Monster" in the movie but it was deleted so that's why this song was. there is a part in the movie where the Wicked Witch say *_"I've sent a little insect on ahead to take the fight out of them."_* but sadly it was never seen
@@ZiggyTheAdventurer It was to have been a little animated bug, and the four stars were even asked for their input as to what it should look like. Bert Lahr suggested that it should land on the Cowardly Lion's nose. 🙂
"The Jitterbug 1964" is a YT video where it is a scene from Judy Garland Show where they show her and Bolger dancing and singing to this number.

I'm sure that would have been fixed had this made into the movie.
@@Garrettk41 This wasn’t actual footage. This was a rehearsal that composer Harold Arlen shot as home movies
@@superjackster0165 that's true :)
Greatest move ever

Thanks I’m a jitterbug in a play and I have no clue what it is
The Jitterbug is actually a style of dance from the 1940's and this song was the begining of it all.
there is no actual creature by that name. lol
