Fixer Upper star Joanna Gaines' bakery in Texas is our actual real life goal, and our copy of Chrissy Teigen's cookbook Cravings is book marked from cover to cover. And while this odd matchup of celebs may never meet IRL, their worlds collided in the Delish test kitchen, thanks to banana bread.
We were anxious to see Joanna's classic and subtle baking approach could compete with Chrissy's irreverent kitchen take. And now you're curious too. Here's how their recipes stacked up.

The vanilla pudding was pretty creative, and coconut, chocolate, and banana are amazing together, and I don't even like coconut at all

I have made Joanna’s and in her defense this looks nothing like hers... she uses nuts or chocolate chips in hers as well... and sprinkles a ton of sugar on top so when u bake it is browns and has a nice crunchy layer on top.....
Of course Chrissy's was gonna win😂 her banana bread has a whole bunch of extra ingredients and is more unhealthy.

You could easily just not put in the coconut .........
The coconut is mostly there to just build a crunchy and flaky texture. And it's unsweetened coconut anyways so it's not there to add flavour.
Brown bananas are the best when it comes to cooking or making milkshakes
I way more prefer Joanna’s banana bread that Chrissy’s. I made them both and Joanas was so amazing.
Of course Chrissy it has Two freaking delicious pairs together..... banana and dark chocolate. NEVER GOES WRONG!

I think Chrissy's looked better, but for me personally, I would skip on the coconut because I hate coconut. But other than that, it looks great

Bananas have to be brown, the color of Joanne's is NOT what real banana bread is. Chrissy Teigen added tons of extras (as usual). So both didn't make a true banana bread.
