Honestly surprised that we haven’t had such an in-depth look at Radagon’s design until now. Game’s been out for 2 years, and one of the most interesting character designs gets overlooked by content creators. One of my favourite characters and designs. Nice work! EDIT: I’d like to add that Radagon’s shattered half, and the black liquid from which the Elden Beast arises, are both seemingly of the exact same shadowy texture of the black shadow that enshrouds the Scadutree. Just a lil food for thought
Really cool observation here. This might be an indication that they are both reflections of something sacred and dedicated to the Order. I was thinking that maybe Radagon could be considered a persona of some sort. Tulpa even.
Well, not really something so strange. Light and Dark are both elements of the Elden Ring and the Elden Beast, and was Marika who... Tarnished, ahah, the Scadutree and the Tower.
My headcanon is that almost all traces of Radagon's history was purposedly erased, to hide the truth of his origins and to create a menacing image about him. As if it doesn't matter who he is or where he came from, only that he's the loyal hound of the Golden Order and you should fear him. Then it would make sense why barely anyone cares about his existence. Though personally I wished he had a greater presence in-game
always love how mostly androgynous Radagon and Marika's designs are. obviously one's a man and the other's a woman, but they both have similar broad shoulders and wide hips and the same sad-looking face. it's subtle, and I love it
Honestly it's nice to see more of Radagon, he isn't talked about as much compared to like Marika but I like his design and his boss fight. Though it's interesting how someone could be two different people and can fall in love with themself. Also Radagon got them cheeks and it makes sense.

Thanks for bringing attention to the patches of color on Radagon's body! These spots are particularly interesting for two reasons: 1. They might be where his petrified flesh is eroding even more and the "amber" is shining through his body; 2. Alternatively, these could be some remaining traces of his actual skin color that haven't been lost to the petrification. It was also smart to check the back of Radagon's statue -- the reveal that he's partially floating, or otherwise not standing with both feet flat on the ground, was curious but brings his depiction more in line with Marika's statue. Radagon's lattice/trellis seems to be made of the same material as his waist chain too. Changing gears to Radagon's counterpart, while this is my personal view, could you please change the thumbnail for the Marika video to use an actual in-game design rather than a mod? I feel that far too many people ignore the plethora of artistic depictions of Marika, and even the direct view of her petrified self in the finale, to make her look highly off-model in a banal way they lust over. There are 5 golden lines coming from his signature Elden Slam attack, 5 Great Rune holders didn’t renounce the Greater Will; Radahn, Malenia, Rennala(His wife, who helped come to peace with the Golden Order), Morgott, and Godrick.
It's the same statue design, so the Elden Lord Crown is present. It seems that Radagon sent Rennala a statue of him as Elden Lord to further traumatize her, or she was so traumatized by him divorcing her that she sought out one of the statues herself to be closer to him, even if it depicted him as Leyndell's king consort.

Do the same for ranni burned corpse, compare it with the doll, and do the same for. Miquella. You will see that ranni doll is actually miquella soul trying to continue the plans he started at enir linim after our char destroyed him
I'd say that Radagon is the most dramatic character in the lore (aside from his son Miquella ofc). Being just a half-blood warlord, he got forcibly married to Marika - the woman who *genocided an entire specie* he was (probably) related to, and made him leave his most beloved wife in favour of herself - all for the vague reasons between setting up against the Order and being obsessed with Radagon. THEN she did an idiotic thing of shattering the Elden Ring, Radagon tried his best to clear up her mess but failed, because she practically devoured him by her soul at that point - and even so, when the to-be Elden Lord arrived inside the tree, Marika still threw the krippled Radagon into a battle he likely didn't want to fight. My poor man Radagon.
Don’t think it’s ever fully explained in depth , but destroying the powerful magical artifact that your body houses and then being strung up for centuries would have some negative health effects.
Children have bigger heads in proportion to their body, because these are smaller and therefore less heavy for their body, but when we grow up, our heads, especially men's heads are much smaller than their shoulders and serve to keep the skull from being heavy or a hindrance to our mobility. Put that logic in giants and you will understand why he puts such tiny heads, it makes sense even if it looks bizarre. Marika and Radagon are giants but they have heads in proportion of a normal human probably by aesthetic decision, but it doesn't make sense. The more gigantic the human is, the smaller its head must be to ensure good cranial mobility.
As a straight dude I feel shame watching this thinking maybe this videos wasn’t made for me. Still interested regardless. Why is he as caked as Reece from Fallout 4? Both games have the big booty male meme now. I’m not sure how to feel about this…
Not everything revolves around sex. Can’t you people think of anything else for 3 seconds. Like for real every other comment I see Is someone being horny for radagon in one way or another
That's the great thing about UA-cam - you can watch videos that weren't made specifically for you, and still learn something. How other people live, and what other people like. Kinda like, if a new restaurant pops up, and you don't wanna go there. You can feel neutral about it personally. And feel happy for the people who DO wanna go there. No shame in learning that a new restaurant EXISTS, ya know? It's no big.
-No mention in the opening -First significant mention in Liurnia -Basicaly never mentionned in main-quest dialogues -Barely mentionned outside Renala lore => final boss of the game, trust me guys the Marika/Radagon twist will work, it's only been 20 hours we mentionned Radagon for the last time in a spell description and he's had 0 plot relevance so far. I like Elden Ring, but Radagon and his twist were not handled well. Model is cool tho.
I think that every average player will learn while playing the game about Radagon and his importance to the current order. For example I wasn't surprised to see Radagon as the final boss because I knew he was the current Elden Lord and he won't let us end his reign that easily. It wasn't the greatest surprise but it didn't come out of nowhere either. The whole Radagon/Marika twist was insanely awesome though
I thought the goldmask quest handled the twist rather well? Even if it’s not the most original, it’s still a fairly interesting play on the rebis concept and the reveal can alter the main ending, which is still fairly significant
really? i actually very much liked the surprise that he showed up in the finale and the marika/radagon twist was the cherry on top. genuinely thot hed be like saint whats his face from dark souls where he was long gone

Wha the heck is up with his hand in the portrait?
İt so good 💜🩷
Rada gone 😭
RagaGYATT 👅
why is bro oiled up
DAAAAAAMN
Why did marika/radagon turn to stone??? Is this ever explained anywhere in game or otherwise?
Don’t think it’s ever fully explained in depth , but destroying the powerful magical artifact that your body houses and then being strung up for centuries would have some negative health effects.
Smash
DO THE SAME WITH RANNI DOLL MODEL, WITH RANNI CORPSE AND WITH MIQUELLA TO FIND THE TRUTH
IGON!!!! please please
RADAGON 🅱️ULO
I wonder how it would look like if someone remodeled character models to have normal proportions because the tiny heads often look goofy af.
The only character we're She/her & he/him are apart of the lore
Only fromsoft can make a they/them character and NOT make it obnoxious.
@@iamMildlyUpsetWithMostOfYouTubno characters are they them in fromsoft.
@@SunWarriorSolairewell, since radagon is 2in1
maybe...
@ radagon is he him. Marika is she her.
@@SunWarriorSolaire they/them pronouns also apply to people who believe they are both genders. Marika/radagoon are the same person in the end.
Like for real every other comment I see Is someone being horny for radagon in one way or another
feel free to enjoy the ride,
Remember that he is marika and her tits are proverbial
That's the great thing about UA-cam - you can watch videos that weren't made specifically for you, and still learn something. How other people live, and what other people like.
Kinda like, if a new restaurant pops up, and you don't wanna go there. You can feel neutral about it personally. And feel happy for the people who DO wanna go there. No shame in learning that a new restaurant EXISTS, ya know? It's no big.
Tf are talking about? This isn’t about gaytard
big butt dudes exist brother they just hide it irl/arent boasted abt enough as much as big tits dudes in media
Do y’all think godfrey hit yes or no

😶🤤🤤🤤
-No mention in the opening
-First significant mention in Liurnia
-Basicaly never mentionned in main-quest dialogues
-Barely mentionned outside Renala lore
=> final boss of the game, trust me guys the Marika/Radagon twist will work, it's only been 20 hours we mentionned Radagon for the last time in a spell description and he's had 0 plot relevance so far.
I like Elden Ring, but Radagon and his twist were not handled well.
Model is cool tho.
wrong also nobody asked
What point are you even trying to make?
