Rented this on Amazon and it was very good. Lots of critics hated this movie when it came out but it has a small cult following over 40 years later. I thought the setting of WW 2 England was relaxing. The music in the film depicting swing jazz was awesome. There is a violent harrowing scene of a fight when an American black soldier dances with an English white girl and a brawl ensues. It’s a very disturbing scene but racism was in the American military.

all the locations of Stockport market and the Davenport cinema have sadly gone also see Robert Davi in this film Stalybridge station a wonderful of these places i saw this in 1981 at my local cinema in the Chorlton cum Hardy area of Manchester and as i said before TheMighty Davenport

@AllBrushed Models - I think for the sex scenes between the couples. The British woman played by Vanessa Redgrave was having an affair with William Devane's character. Also, they showed a black soldier being beaten for dancing with a white woman.
