I had my neighbors who play the violins and cello play this version as I walked down the isle 6 years ago and I still cry every time I watch this UA-cam video.
My boyfriend and I sat next to each other on a bus on the way to the airport this summer before we parted ways until this Christmas. He shared his earbuds with me and we started listening to our playlist of songs that mean something to us. We had both been up since 4:30 am so we could catch our flights, so we were both insanely tired. He held my hand, I rested my head on his shoulder, and he snuggled up with his face in my hair. If it weren't for the music, I would've been out like a light. It didn't really hit me how much I was going to miss him and how much that moment meant to me until this song came on. I started silently crying a few seconds in. It was a few songs before he noticed I was crying, but when he did, he handed me a packet of tissues so I could dry my eyes and blow my nose. Somehow that one little act showed me how much he cared and I started crying even harder. This song goes hand-in-hand with that memory, and I can't listen to it without choking up. Christmas is a long time to wait. I miss him so much.
This is my favourite song in the entire world! You did an amazing job, you paid so much attention to each nuance and gave it so much character and personality, which is very difficult for a solo violinst! Plus, you mixed it perfectly! Well done!
