Haha welcome to Hang Over Gang. If you want to know more about Tom and Nova - I make HOG content (as well as reactions) but I have a few videos on there that might help you get to know them better. I'll give you the cliff notes version though. Tom had a mental breakdown in 2016 that led him down a path of recovery and inspired him to focus his music on subjects that he really cared about. Politics is one of the things Tom is passionate about, but so is sobriety and recovery and mental health. So that is what his music is centered around, He wanted his music to lift people up, inform, and inspire people. Nova was with Def jam records for 3 and 1/2 years, she ended up getting dropped which was the best thing that ever happened to her. Tom is an awesome artist and like everyone says, the auto tune was intentional and not his normal thing. You would love “I Wish” and “Scars”! Just know that he isn’t a singer, he is a rapper. So even in some of his more raw vocal songs, he does sometimes use auto tune minimally in the songs when it’s necessary. I also think you would like his song “Race War”. Happy New Year!!

You'd really struggle with a newer song that is super-duper autotuned, "Wild Horses." When I first heard Bad News I thought it was kind'a cringe, now that I've heard it a lot I barely notice the autotune. So, he does Wild Horses with super-duper autotune and, it was kind'a cringe, but the more I listen to it the more I love it.

This isn't a good representation of Tom. It was a response and a way for him to help Madchild get back on his feet. We're familiar. But this isn't it. Try Fake Woke or God Mode if you want to understand who he is.

They are 100% independent. (you can't be more independent ) From Tom, maybe try Church, Scars, Superman, Ghost, I Wish and another one he did with Madchild and Nova, Sober. Odd, first time i see a reactor use ''bad news'' as their first reaction of Tom Mac catalogue, it's usually the latest drop, one of the political songs deemed as ''controversial'' or usually a specific requested song from the fans which I doubt anyone would ask to react to ''bad news'' of all the songs he has made and have impacted the music industry. I still followed hoping to see you go down the rabbit hole, the best way to know Tom and why he has such a big loyal following to the point he can call himself the biggest independent artist on the planet and hit top 1 billboards against big mainstream label artists making it look like it's easy: - react to the songs H.O.G recommend, which each one of us has their favorites, some more political, other more egotripping or emotional but all of them great. - the other way to do it and for me personally the best way to get to know him and understand who he is and why he has this big following is to start from the beginning which people call ''going down the rabbit hole'' starting with the song that started this movement (''Dear Rappers'' or a bit forward at least starting with ''Whiteboy'' which started the controversy) and just go from there chronologically up until today. One way or another H.O.G his fans will always give a lot of support and always love to see someone react to his songs for the first time and u will notice that, no matter if u dont like some songs or don't agree with some of the lyrics his following respects people who are real and speak their mind.

Rarely use autotune, def not on entire song... would definitely say a bad song as an introduction personally lol...can say if go down his catalog HOG will be here for it, whether like ot not.
This isn't a good representation of Tom. It was a response and a way for him to help Madchild get back on his feet. We're familiar. But this isn't it. Try Fake Woke or God Mode if you want to understand who he is.

Glad you finally got to Tom and Nova, it is unfortunate that this is your first impression as it is not typical of their sound. Please do give them both a shot, they are hidden gems, so talented. They are 100% independent. (you can't be more independent ) From Tom, maybe try Church, Scars, Superman, Ghost, I Wish and another one he did with Madchild and Nova, Sober. From Nova try Did Your Best, Hey You, Problem (must be studio version wearing flip flops), Lost Girls and a fun one from when she was younger that showcases her rap skills (she's actually one of the best female rappers out there) "Batman" I think you will end up really liking both of their talent. Looking forward to your next one. Subbed for it. Gonna be fun.

Odd, first time i see a reactor use ''bad news'' as their first reaction of Tom Mac catalogue, it's usually the latest drop, one of the political songs deemed as ''controversial'' or usually a specific requested song from the fans which I doubt anyone would ask to react to ''bad news'' of all the songs he has made and have impacted the music industry. I still followed hoping to see you go down the rabbit hole, the best way to know Tom and why he has such a big loyal following to the point he can call himself the biggest independent artist on the planet and hit top 1 billboards against big mainstream label artists making it look like it's easy:
- react to the songs H.O.G recommend, which each one of us has their favorites, some more political, other more egotripping or emotional but all of them great.
- the other way to do it and for me personally the best way to get to know him and understand who he is and why he has this big following is to start from the beginning which people call ''going down the rabbit hole'' starting with the song that started this movement (''Dear Rappers'' or a bit forward at least starting with ''Whiteboy'' which started the controversy) and just go from there chronologically up until today.
One way or another H.O.G his fans will always give a lot of support and always love to see someone react to his songs for the first time and u will notice that, no matter if u dont like some songs or don't agree with some of the lyrics his following respects people who are real and speak their mind.
