This talk, a significant part of which covers Advaita as taught by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba (Swami), was given by Dr. John Hislop, in simple and friendly English, at a US Retreat (Eureka, Missouri) on 27th May 1989. About Dr. John Hislop:
The late Dr John (Jack) S. Hislop had a Ph.D. (in education) from the University of California, Los Angeles campus (UCLA). [Source: "A PERFECT DISCIPLE, The story of Dr John S Hislop", media.radiosai.....]
Dr. Hislop first saw Sathya Sai Baba in 1968. He was a major force in the International Sai Organization in the 1980s and 1990s. He has written books about his experiences and conversations with Sai Baba, "My Baba and I" and "Conversations with Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba". [Source: vimeo.com/47243347]

After he left his mortal body, sri Dr John hislop merged with Swami and became one with him...he no longer has rebirth on earth and is with God...this is swami's own words ... (an article on radio sai-the perfect devotee)❤
Yes but Swami told Hislop that he has one more life. Hislop was and is the most amazing devotee, a great example, a man whose words were Swami’s words. He came to the San Diego centers and we were all blessed to spend much time together…right up to his physical end.

Thank you brother, it's great you have put this together. If possible can you collect or point me to what Swami has spoken on Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads type classification. Thank you for all the efforts.
I have not put together any such classification that you refer to. But perhaps Sathya Sai orgn. - Indian and/or International - may have done so. Or perhaps the Sadhana trust folks in Prasanthi Nilayam ashram may have done so.

@@dimitrisbempedelis5650 Great! I plan to check it out sometime later. I don't know Greek but still I would like to see it. Greek is one of the classical languages of European civilization going back to Homer (Iliad & Odyssey), Socrates and Plato. So I will enjoy seeing the Greek text even if I can't understand it (I will use Google Translate to give me some sense of what it says). Good to see that John Hislop's great lecture on Sathya Sai and Advaita in particular, is now more easily accessible to Greek viewers & readers. Jai Sai Ram!

Om Sri Sai Ram. First time hearing the ultimate Indian Philosophy in a simple and practical manner from a foreigner. Shows again that our beloved Sri Sai is Bhagavan and any thing is possible for Swami as this creation being his supreme consciousness.
I agree that Dr. Hislop explains Advaita, based on Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's teachings on it, in a simple and practical way. About creation being Bhagavan's supreme consciousness, I have been privileged to hear Bhagavan saying, as part of his discourses, in Sai Kulwant Hall in Prashanti Nilayam, that we too have/are part of that supreme consciousness, and that there is no difference between us and Bhagavan (at a very evolved spiritual level, I presume). Based on this teaching of Bhagavan, which fits in with Advaita, creation is the supreme consciousness in each one of us and in all of us. However, IMHO, only spiritually very evolved beings, or Avatars like Bhagavan, directly experience them being this supreme consciousness. For the rest (including me :-)), I think it is more a matter of belief than experience.

My effort in putting up this video and transcript was a labour of love towards Swami and the Sathya Sai fraternity from whom I have received far more than I can give back. So I was grateful to have been in a position to make this small offering to Bhagawan and the Sathya Sai fraternity (and others who are interested in such matters). Happy that you found it useful.
