"for the fans"
I showed this movie to my fan, it refuses to oscillate anymore
ECL28E lol
Boooo!
@The Comic Man101 what does that mean?
@The Comic Man101 oh! Sorry! Yes I do. I just didn't see your Emojis.
Clever
You guys seemed disappointed with Bill's appearance? How can you be disappointed with one of the most developed characters ever introduced in the Nostalgia Critic. So much depth to him it's actually really beautiful. His role is something that can never be replaced. Bill has been there since the beginning and will continue to inspire us. He's seriously my favorite character of anything ever (:
Gamelover254 I thought it was gonna be the Motherfuckin T-rex
That's so Bill!
Nin10Boy 6464 you mad bro?
Nin10Boy 6464 how dare you insult bill
“Mmmmmmmhmmm” -Bill
Movie: “The Enchantress is going to destroy the city, and only the suicide squad can stop her!”
Me: 😐
Nate: Cheeko’s tummy isn’t feeling well…
Me: Oh my goodness, is he ok?! 😱
The creators did not understand the point of the Suicide Squad, The Suicide Squad was not created in the comics to stop Superman to think any of these villains could stop Superman is horse shit. They were created to pull off the dirty secret missions for Cadmus and since they are villains they can deny any connection to them and they will take all the blame and be sacrifice. That's the reason they are called Suicide Squad they are expendable scapegoats. Nothing to do with them being able to take down Superman level heroes or villains. They should have just went with the Assault on Arkham story line.
Exactly, this is what irks me the most about this movie it gave the mainstream a false impression of this group, half the fun of the Suicide Squad is how hostile towards each other they are, and you'r right Assualt on Arkham is exactly what this movie should have been: a Heist/Spy flick featuring villains not a shamless Guardians of the Galaxy Rip Off(this statement is even sadder because the teams couldn't be any more different from each other)
Hah! You honestly thing WB cares about the comics and not trying to trump Marvel? (Which is pretty much impossible at this point)
There is literally a comic about the suicide squad fighting the justice league and somehow actually managed to mantain a fight with them.
Kage1713
Assault on akham also had a better joker
@@steakjakegaming6098 well it's Mark Hamill. Any Mark Hamill Joker is amazing. Even in that Killing Joke movie.
Critic losing his temper with Waller is one of my favorite Critic Freakout moments!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Oh Bill. Truly, he is the greatest of Nostalgia Critic characters. Why, he's had so many amazing appearances in past reviews, I can barely keep track of them all. If I had to pick a favorite, though, it'd be his appearance in the Smurfs 2 review. Doug really got to display the complexity of the character in that one. You should react to the Smurf reviews.
Classic Bill
Elizabeth Braddock I remembered him singlehandedly beating darkseid and thanos without even raising his fist
And who can forget those one -liners of his
"Mm-hm" just has to be the best
CTOONfan1 That's so Bill
ENCIRCLE THE HATER AND DO THE BILL DANCE!
Honestly they could have made Croc more monstrous and taller, he looks ridiculous fighting. He's supposed to be a cannibalistic Reptile man. The flash made king shark look good and that's a TV show! A cg Croc would have been fine.
yeah originally the director was going to have King shark in the movie but he sayed that he wasnt comfortable with fully cgi characters so he replaced him with croc
Honestly, the reptile look varies from artist to artist, but I admit he could've been bigger.
Are we even gonna mention King Shark from Assault on Arkham?
I got da Tingles YAY! He does not want roasted nuts again.
Assault on arkham
U realize thats unture. Croc is suppose to be a hunan born with a rare skin condition
The reason why Suicide Squad wasn't a total success among comic book fans was because DC bowed down to the parents of kids who wanted to see it. Halfway through production they got bombed with letters and emails from parents begging them to lower the age rating from R to PG13. Not to mention this movie was supposed to be ALLOT darker then what was intended in the current state. When the movie Deadpool came out it became one of the highest Comic Books Box office hits in history because it was rated R. The parents once again tried to organize and beg Marvel to re-edit the movie before it came out and lower it to a PG13 rating but Marvel did no such thing. Deadpool stayed R and went onto to it's currently glory while Suicide Squad was riddled with plot holes, inconsistent pacing and just downright poor decisions on the developers part.
Also it should be the parent’s responsibility to make sure that if they don’t want their kids watching Deadpool they don’t watch it.
its funny how parents care about what movies their kids watch, but they don't give a shit on what video games they play
Isn't Deadpool Fox, not Marvel? I thought the Marvel logo was just because they created and own the comic book character, but not the movie rights(until Disney buys Fox)
Plus the ruined what the suicide squad was made for they was supposed to cover up the government's mistakes not kill superhumans
"How did they beat her?"
The stairs?
They're kinda faster.
Diablo is actually the only character that is redeemable enough to be a hero, he has a tragic backstory, he has an interesting dilemma with the guilt resting on his shoulders and if the character was done well I'd say maybe he'd hold a movie on his own, the problem is that the scene with his backstory is done in the most clichéd way possible, his supposed "dilemma" of shunning his powers is resolved anticlimactically and he's already dead so there's not really much for him.
10:25 Superman's other weaknesses include, Red Sunlight, and being in stupid movies.
Wait, doesn't red sunlight make him stronger?
Andrius Butikis no, Blue sunlight makes him stronger.
Nate: "an how do they beat her up there" um the elevator is slower than however many stairs it takes them to go up however many floors
Gavin Q Rex gamer I've outraced elevators at the beach, even when my friends report it went straight to where I was headed with no interruptions.
Gavin Q Rex gamer while fighting bad guys all they way up?
Shayla Nash They're Putties. They're easy to get past.
Atsuko Kagari Yeah...they were ridiculously easy.
I thought Suicide Squad has a lot of potential but WB squandered it.
If they had done what Assault on Arkham did, it would have been fine. Make the squad Amanda Waller's disposable hit squad, put a hero in the way as a primary obstacle, and let the villains act like mother fucking villains are supposed to act. These guys should be self serving assholes jumping on the first opportunity to screw over Waller they can find, not a bunch of wannabe anti-heroes the movie tries to convince you are good people deep down. Even Deadshot is only ever presented as professional in how he acts with her, but as soon as someone hands him a chance to put a bullet in her head, he'd be all over that.
8:42 dude perfectly replicated that “I’m a dinosaur.”
😂
Let's be real about this DC took the lazy route and tried to do in three years what took Marvel a decade. And the result has been one good film, one ok film and two shit films.
Yes, exactly! Been saying this since BVS having the unearned Dark Knight Returns battle between Superman and Batman, or them shoving every Justice League character in our face in a bunch of videos without parcelling them out like Marvel did.
I agree when the critic says Harley is more open to change. However, with Joker being vulnerable to Harley, hell nooo!!!! Joker doesn't care about anyone, Batman even says it more than once in every incarnation of them. If Joker is vulnerable to Harley it ruins his character of being an untouchable monster to those who see him as a threat.
Joshua Williams i mean, it's an interesting interpretation, but yeah. Tone it down.
I do think he has something going for her otherwise he would've replaced Harley's daily.
It could be less love and more an obsession because he sees her as her property... That could be interesting.
I mean there's that story back in New 52 where Joker threatened to kill some Suicide Squad members if she didn't come with him, then she tortured her because he felt she's too independent.
Eh. I don't mind it. I don't remember people getting upset that Joker gave up crime the moment he thought he was rich in the animated series, even though that contradicts a lot of his incarnations.
Enchantress betraying the team that early in the movie, was like having Raven from Teen Titans betray her team to Trigon.
Do you guys even know who Bill is? If you don't get the joke/reference, watch Critic's Smurfs 2 review.
That belly dance scene was outrageously funny xD
14:15 Translation: "We were too f()€×ing lazy to do that!"
Nostalgic critics calling out on Waller was the best thing I’ve every seen😂😂😂😂 I hope I could to that to other bad people and their bad plans.
I died of laughter at the "Killer Croc” part.😂😂😂
If this movie made you mad, watch Batman Assault on Arkham it's really good👍👍
But I still love Suicide Squad, sometimes you just have to enjoy it,it's got action comedy and good characters
And I love Wonder Woman too it's great
Deadpool kicksf***ing ass I don't know Mr. Deadpool. I mean, aside from Margot Robbie's portayal of Harley Quinn which I actually did enjoyed watching since she's like the only character in this movie that's interested to watch, I could care less about all the characters, since I found thrm to be quite boring and forgettable. But, that's just my opinion. Oh and I was not feeling Jared Leto's portrayal of the Joker at all in this movie. Seriously, I don't see the chemistry between this version of the Clown Prince of Crime taking on Ben Affleck's Batman. But, Will Smith's Deadshot on the other hand...I could totally see them building up a rivalry between his character and Affleck's Batman in a solo movie.
Assault On Arkham is basically Suicide Squad done right.
You just know the critic has been waiting for that rant since he saw the movie
The problem with Suicide Squad is that they weren't assembled to fight world ending threats... They were assembled to do the goverment's dirty work. Seriously, that's how it is in the comics. They were chosen to do the jobs Superman wouldn't do.
No one told David Ayer and he didn't bother to research the concept.
2:54
you're a little late on the time stamp, caleb
i dont get it whos caleb
gabe gal Its one of the reactors who used to reference the time that the video start. He's Micah's younger brother and is quite busy now.
thanks caleb
Hyperion Wait, Caleb is/was the oldest, or am I stupid?
32:40
Nate votes “Pamela”.
Ben votes “Ivy”.
I vote “Red”.
the next one you should is the nostalgia critic man of steel review
They already watched it on their own time didn't you hear Micah talking about it and BvS?
ok, they should do the nostalgia critic review on new ghostbuster film, or the norm of the north review
9:08 the importance of fan service in comic book moves can not be underestimated.
honestly i like your after talks after the video and actually discuss stuff its a bit refreshing from the same like minds with the same thing on their minds and can't really say anything that already been said or even elaborated on
I said this on the origenal video but I will say it again. at 21:55 she did not give it the name suicide squad, that was dedshot, she called it taskforse X.
Nate: “How did they beat Harley up the elevator?”
Me: “I can outrun an average office building elevator and I’m not even an adult fighter in peak physical condition, so it’s not as implausible as you think.
I wish they did the video of the audience's reaction to the review. Oh well, cannot wait until they do The Last Airbender!
You guys should watch Critics Wonder Woman review it's awesome
After Wonder Woman, the Critic should review Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie.
BILL IS ALL. BILL IS TIME ITSELF, FLOWING GRACEFULLY INTON ETERNI-
19:15
I feel like the only guy that remembered she went in the elevator to text Joker without her team noticing.
Although I wholeheartedly do not agree with this review, Rob' comment of general merchandising advertisers and corporate cinema businessmen partaking in mainstreem comic book adaptations at 14:43 is genius...!
56:25 Speaking of Hulk, Doug Walker has done a review of it recently! Please react to it! Do a shot every time Doug says, "THE HULK", you'll be hammered by the end. (By the way, I consider myself a DC fanboy. But, you're right in your comments about the DCEU. On point.)
Please do the Nostalgia Critic's review of The Last Airbender!!!!!!!!
Watch Batman: Assault on Arkham if you want to see a good Suicide Squad movie!
Honestly, I liked the movie. By no means was it a great movie, but it was good enough.
I agree, the storyline is not the best, but I do like the designs of things like the characters or the background.
Looking in the comments, I don't see why you always complain about bad comments. I'm sure there are bad ones, but, as you've said, they are stupid and not worth the time to type or read, so I don't see the problem. Being annoyed at it in your beginning or now only as a passing mention is okay, but ranting (even if for short periods of time) and raising your voice every other episode (and I often binge your stuff, so I've noticed over time) doesn't help nor is it appealing to listen to.
I love your stuff. Your conversations, ideas, ideals, and opinions are all amusing to listen to. I hope you don't take anything I have said too negatively. I truly do not mean to sound rude or inconsiderate.
Wait if the Joker cared about Harly enough to save her from the Suicide Squad then why did he leave her to drown in a car
React to Avgn Gameboy accessories episode 147 (like if you want them to react to it)
Ice Pig I WANT TO BE SEDATET WITH A GAMEBOY!
Most people that watch your videos either agree with you or like your commentary... Its the internet, people are always going to vent and hate because it rarely has consequence. And that's such a small portion of your views. Telling them off at least makes me think you're alienating portions of your audience. I do love your videos; being nice is fun too.
This movie totally missed the point of the Suicide Squad. They aren’t people who save the world. They do missions for the government that are so dangerous that the government doesn’t want to send soldiers and missions that break laws that cannot be traced back to the government. The Suicide squad is supposed to be retrieving data disks that tell the names of foreign agents from a foreign military base, not saving humanity.
Far superior movies for the suicide squad are Batman Assault on Arkham or Suicide Squad Hell to Pay. These portray the Suicide squad acting as they should be in the proper role for them. They also make it clear the members of the squad are not buddies but people forced to work together.
as I saw the review for the first time I actually had the same idea for Ivy appearing in the last scene before the Bill reveal :)
Nice, I've been looking forward to this.
Now, could you please react to Nostalgia Critic's reviews of Mad Max: Fury Road and the Last Airbender please?
original reason for the suicide squad (as far as i'm aware):
covert black ops missions that if they got caught the US could simply go "they're super villains, we cant control them, they're crazy!!"
but not before they blew their heads up through bombs implanted in their necks, basically nothing even remotely related to the blue boyscout
they get it right in this review, if superman went rogue theyd call wonder woman, or shazam but he hasnt been introduced in the movieverse yet so shhh
My favorite part in the movie was actually me mishearing a line in the office scene, this line was said twice in the movie but the second time completely broke me in the cinema, what i thought i heard was, "they've taken the flag again", and to me that was the funniest thing in the movie, i think they said "they've taken flag again" but i could not find the clip after i saw it in the cinema and since then completely forgot about it, but for someone that has played Unreal tournament, alot, that was funny to me, so the funniest part of the movie, was me hearing the line wrong. The reason it was funny is because it was something i didn't expect, all the way through the movie, i never thought about his name "Rick Flag", and then in the office i realized, and i thought it was a pun, that is why i found it funny, it was the unexpected effect.
I love your channel plz don't ever stop making videos
I think the main problem with Suicide Squad, is that it introduced villains and characters that should've made appearances in 1, 2 and possibly 3. Right off the bat, we are thrown into this DC Universe, where the superheroes have been active a good while and have already encountered these villains.
Marvel has a list of villains who are still currently alive in their cinematic roster. And if they ever decide to make a movie version of "The Thunderbolts", they at least have villains already introduced and whom we know about.
Suicide Squad, like Batman V Superman, is another DC and Warner Brother's attempt to start big from the top, and build the DC Universe up from that. Like trying to build a house by starting with a roof.
Marvel built its house (aka Cinematic Universe) from the floor and up. While DC is currently building theirs by starting with the roof first and are trying to follow up with a floor and walls to lift it.
DC and Warner Brothers are rushing it just to keep up with Marvel. And that's not a good way to build a Cinematic Universe.
Bill was first introduced in the Smurfs 2 review.
honestly harley on the team is needed for smart and analyzing when she wants to
Reaction starts at 2:15
Before Watching It, I will still forever say Jared Leto Joker was not that bad. It was actually my personal favorite.
After this you really need to watch his Wonder Woman review, it's quite uplifting
Did you know that running up the stairs is faster than going up the left
Why not the "Audience Screening" version of this review? It was the superior version. Especially with the riff.
Can you react to nostalgia critic alien vs predator
*Remember when Joker* "died"
*In Suicide Squad* ?
One Scene later Harley Quinn
Is "sad" while on top of a car holding a belt labled *Puddin*
*& instead of holding it tighter She throws it away* / almost as if a different scenario went down where her throwing that belt would've made sense*
*Am I wrong* ..
To be fair, it's possible to race an elevator. Usually if the staircase takes you straight up or straight rather than forcing you to go down a hall.
16:08
I thought so too, then I looked it up and it was actually "Flipknot"
8:39 that’s what made Ben laugh his ass off?!?!?!? I get it it’s funny but still
Also Captain Boomerrang was in Arrow on The CW
That's sad. I wanted him to be on the Flash, because he's a part of the Flash's Rogues. Not Green Arrow's rogue gallery.
Jared Let's Joker is fine to me, it doesn't really stand up to previous ones but I enjoy new takes on characters, and there is a difference between a weakness to kryptonite and being affected by magic, the kryptonite is fatal to him, he just doesn't have a resistance to magic.
2 things you guys should check out/react to; Nostalgia Critic's Wonder Woman review, and the English dub of the anime Ghost Stories.
You guys ever gonna react to sequelitis: Zelda: LttP vs Zelda: OoT?
React to Animation vs UA-cam!
To be honest, I thought Suicide Squad was okay. Not good, of course, but not exactly bad either. It had enough good scenes to keep me entertained for a bit, which is more than I can say for Super Jesus: The Movie (aka Man of Steel). Superman was _never_ supposed to be a 'Jesus imagery' type character, he was supposed to be the all-American boy scout. The guy that we could look up to because he never gave up, no matter how bad things got; not look up to because we're supposed to see him as a Jesus-type character. That's why I like the movie with Christopher Reeve so much, they made him human. In that movie, he's a human growing up wondering what the hell he is and why he can do all these things, knowing that if he ever fought back he could kill people or if he ever played sports he could win every time, and struggling with that (downside of his powers versus good side).
His human parents raised him with a sense of morality, that just because he _can_ do something it doesn't mean he _should_, yet with all of these powers there are still things he can't do, and in no scenario is that made more painfully clear than when his father dies of a heart attack. As he says in the movie "All these things I can do.....all these *powers* .....and I couldn't even save him." Leading him to struggle with guilt, anger, depression, sadness and a burning need to know *why* he is the way he is if he can't even help people. That is a dramatic scene.
Man of Steel totally borked that to hell and back. In that movie, it was his father that was preventing him from doing jack shit to help people, and even going so far as to say he maybe should have let those kids on the bus drown. Which wouldn't make Superman human, it would make him a fucking sociopath. Standing there and just watching the kids drown, then going home for a glass of milk and some pancakes? What the hell kind of moral lesson is that? Then to have his dad just stand there on the freeway and be killed by a tornado, when Clark actually _could_ have saved him any number of ways, just to try and recreate that iconic scene from the original film? It makes no sense.
How is that supposed to impart a sense of powerlessness? How is that supposed to set up an internal conflict?
But okay, enough bashing. There is actually one scene I thought was okay, and that was the scene of him getting used to one of his powers. I thought it was a good thing the director did by focusing on him growing up a little and struggling with his awakening powers, something the original movie didn't do. So I will give it points for that.
Are you putting off the Foodfight review to get back at the fans for requesting it so much?
Just so you guys know, there's a new Soviet Womble Arma 3 Bullshittery (8) and a Death Battle (Balrog Vs TJ Combo) available. Both of those videos are amazing so you should check 'em out when you find the time.
If you guys enjoyed this, I strongly suggest reacting to a video called "The Art of Editing and Suicide Squad." It's a video by Dan Olson on his channel Folding Ideas, which analyzes the editing choices and mistakes in the movie, and is very interesting and in-depth.
Temujin A lot of beer was needed
React to The Nostalgia Critic's review of The Sorcerer's Apprentice
for the end it would of been cool if a collection of villains that know Harly like scare crow, poison ivy, joker, bane, mr pangwin, and mr freeze break out crock and harly
Does anyone know where I can get that dinosaur mask?
imagine if he does another video of the other suicide squad movie that was actually good
1 like = 1 prayer for Nate's nose
I will say this. The enchantress was gonna try to take over the world, regardless if the suicide squad was formed. Since the Doctor found her first. So regardless if she was part of the squad or not, this shit was gonna happen, just maybe not as soon and maybe not in this way
plus its like they TRY to piss off fans of the original harley by showing off her original costume and a hammer
The Smurfs 2 review explains who Bill is.
The sequel better be amazing!!
Only 2 before the reaction? WHO ARE YOU WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THE RENEGADES?!
1.Biber is banned from what?
2.I wish you guys would have also consider talking about the 1989 Joker when comparing Ledger and Leto.
This is why I prefer Batman V. Superman to Suicide Squad:
Suicide Squad accomplish nothing and it's too DC to be Marvel and too Marvel to be DC.
Say whatever you want about BVS, at least it had a purposed, it got something interesting to say the character were interesting and we can actually see the action sequence in the movie
where as Suicide Squad does not. Seriously, it ends the same way it begins. And the movie is basically 45% Deadshot, 45% Harley Quinn and 10% for everyone else.
Also, the fact that it's basically a "Guardians of the Galaxy" rip off.
What was interesting about BvS? Literally all they do is hate each other for doing the same thing, and Lex Luther is nothing like he should be, it literally combines multiple stories just to combine them and doesn't really further their characters and while I get that the Martha scene humanizes Superman to Batman, it still doesn't make sense. Suicide Squad did further characters and things did change, and how is it like GotG? That's about a group of heroes coming together to save the universe and get paid, Suicide Squad is about a group of Villains being Blackmailed into saving a city and still ending up in prison.
hi guys guys big fan :)
i was just wondering you guys show start watching rick and morty!
i love to hear you oinons at the end when watch stuff like when you did gravity falls EPIC SHOW!!!
i don't no how you would watch it Netflix? but the show is really deep and i would love to hear you guys talk about the it
i would love to see mika'a react to some of the episodes would be priceless
from a big fan X)
You guys should react to the nostalgia critics lorax review
React to Nostalgia Critic Wonder Woman and his review of The Last Airbender.
And now, onto the Wonder Woman NC review...
I mean the enchantress was created outside of the suicide squad so wether it was made or not this would still be happening
Poor Slipknot.
NC's justification for the change in the Joker-Harley relationship simply doesn't work. He claims that Harley is due for further reinterpretations b/c she's only been around since the 90s as opposed to the characters that have been around since the late 30s. The problem w/ that logic is, Joker is clearly the one that was changed by the writers instead of Harley. Effectively breaking the rules of Doug's justification.
i love bill dressed as the mad hatter
12:28 now that’s the joker I know ❤😂
OMG I will need a copy of those episodes
Balrog vs TJ Combo Death Battle is out!
The best way to use rotten tomatoes scores isn't by the percentages since that number is the portion of critics that gave it a fresh rating. Instead look at the average rating numbers on the side for these films in general.
I mean deadshot was able to shoot the flash who is faster than superman. Just give deadshot a gun with kryptonite bullets and done he kills superman. If u want to go further some dc characters could carve runes onto the kryptonite bullets to also make them magic
Now once the ones who haven't seen the movie see it, this will be a great chance to see a reaction to the Wonder Woman review.
Do the nostalgia critic review of the squeckquel
