I remember riding the train at christmas time in 1955 then again in 1963 back then they still grew cranberries don't know if they still do or not. Hate to see it go hope someone buys it and restores all of it.
And of course, every rail fan wants to see track restored -- your videos have many happy examples of that. Any chance this would be restored here ? What purpose did the line serve originally ? LOVE the runby. Marvelous video. :-D
As of right now Edaville is up for sale so any restoration of the remaining track is up in the air. I think it has been considered to repair and extend the remaining track but land ownership is one issue. Edaville RR was originally built as a utility line to move cranberries, supplies, and workers around Ellis D Atwood’s cranberry plantation. This soon became a tourist attraction once the locals found out about it and the “freight” or utilities operations on the line ended within just a few years.
For Gods sake, will someone grease the inside of the rails on the inside of the curves to STOP that horrible and annoying sqeal of the wheels. It ruins the experience of the ride to hear that loud scream of the wheel s constantly!!
@@davefletcher4630 The general public MIGHT find it annoying, but most if not the majority of railfans just tune it out...and that's not loud at all. I've heard much worse on real railroads and other museum/tourist operations. Also, they're not going to waste money for greasing the rails on a section of track rarely used...it's not financially responsible management.

AD Makepeaceplace still maintains most of the bogs around Edaville
Great video. Too bad "The Builder/Developer" that wound up with Edaville was not as railroad-oriented as he claimed to be at the outset.
So is that true? Its gonna get bulldozed for houses?
The current owner of Edaville, owns the Grafton and Upton Railroad.

I agree but at least the flange sounds masked the music playing on the train.
What, and get rid of the realism of real railroading?
They Didn't scream like that
