YOO I LOVE THESE LIL ROCK DUDES. Its always fun to have a suspicious rock follow the party around and just turn out to be a little dude.

These remind me of the "Moving Stones" of Celtic myth. These were boulders that stood up, moved, and danced at midnight.
"Galeb Duhr" looking like an Irish Gaeilge word definitely strengthens this connection.

Great episode, guys! You took what I thought was a boring monster and made me like it a lot more! I'd definitely have an NPC named Caleb Duhr if I used one in a campaign!

For the record, Frank Herbert wrote 6 Dune books before his death. The 4th one is actually my personal favorite, God Emperor of Dune.

Greeting aspiring adventures Volothamp Geddarm here. I was recently traveling through the city of brass on business when I stopped for bite to eat at a stall near the gate of ash. I was speaking with the vendor, a rather talkative fire giant while he cooked the abyssal chicken I had ordered. Wouldn't you know it the subject of Azer reproduction came up. He said that an azer chap, a customer of his starting coming around for 3 meals a day; more than he had previously seen him. He told me that the fellow started to put on more weight quickly until he was all swollen and greasy. Well one day this azer was in his shop again demolishing another bowl of fire apple crumble when... he farted! It made such a vicious noise that the vender looked over and this poor gentleman had split down the sides and was now two azers. VG

I ran one as a boulder blocking a cave entrance, also for flavor the appendages slide through the rock body so they weren't fixed so they just appeared and which ever side was needed

It would be interesting to see these types of creatures and how they would be different in different environments, e.g. forrest, mountains, deserts. The deserts in the Dark Sun setting would be interesting for these little rock guys especially how that plays into the elements take the place of religion since there are no gods in that setting.

Whenever I hear like rock elementals or stuff eat just the rocks off the ground as like sustenance and they are also made of rock it's like is that some kind of body horror to them?
Is it like the equivalent of the whole world or giant sections of the world being made of flesh.... and they're just cool with it.
"That looks like my left kidney.... NOM"
PS "If you want them to be sick give them sunglasses and a skateboard." I am never prepared for some of the things you say Brian and I expect you to keep it that way. Never change bro.... I'm very tired.

Paladins have always been OP, but older editions had those high stat restrictions so you had to throw serious dice during character creation to get in. Now that everyone can get in, it’s just too much. 😂

Bards were also like that in older editions, except also having weird race/starting class requirements in addition to stats.
