Hello Kim, roofing protection for your feathered babies, how about chicken wire or lattice panels? Actually not chicken wire but the more sturdier harder fence wire that you have some on the chicken coop door nd window. Good luck nd stay safe xo xo
Why not put the clear hard plastic over your garden like Jami has over her greenhouse, light comes in, no branches in the net, chickens or any flying bird can perch on it. Sides are all open to air flow, just have to water it & if you can get one of those blue barrels like Jake got, to feed the cows, you could catch rain water so you wouldn't need to run your pump or if you still have that old bathtub outside you could plug it & use it to catch water. The barrel is better & you could put cheesecloth on it to keep unwanted anything out. If you could get one of those old fashioned hand pumps to attach inside the barrel that would be awesome. 😁 Just some ideas from an ole country lady who'd love to have what you have, but time is short now. 🥺👩🦳🙏💜

Yay, Molly is a big girl now! 😊, I know a lot of work but, what if you made a lightweight pitched roofing with 1X1's , netting, then put lattes over it and secure. It would still get plenty of sun and have strength from cats and debris. OR, use thin cattle panels, bend over top for more support then netting if holes too big. Just suggestions I.
