You might want to consider adding velcro to one side of the vest. It would keep you from stretching the suede of ripping a stitch. Kinda like a ballistic vest… Good luck!
To be fair, London wipes anyone out :) I'm glad you trouble shot your sewing. Kudos for working it out:) To my replacing the needle and rethreading my sewing machine is kind of like the sewing version of "turning it off and on again" :)
Just picked up some fake fur.. That stuff is more expensive than real fur.. Paid 29.99 a yard.. Could have went to second hand store and looked for old fur coats prob for 10 bucks.

that's a good idea, I think I'll see how it holds up over time and if I see stretched stiches I'll just pull up a seam and add some in
