I spend my stitchy money at Fat Quarter Shop! Here is a recipe we make at Easter every year.
Orange Delight Dessert
1 large box of orange Jell-O
1 pint of orange sherbet
1 container of cool whip (8 oz.)
1 can of mandarin oranges (15 oz.)
1. Dissolve Jell-O in 1 cup of (very) hot water
2. When Jell-O is completely dissolved blend in sherbet and stir until it’s fairly smooth
3. Then add cool whip and stir until it’s blended
4. Drain juice from oranges
5. Then add oranges slices and blend (you can add them as is or cut them into 2 or 3 pieces, your preference)
6. Be sure to hold back some orange slices (approx 12 or so) for the top of the dessert
We make something similar but used cottage cheese instead of sherbet. My husband’s family who has the recipe calls it a salad. I said a dessert. An on going joke at our house.
It is sweet enough to be a dessert!

My closest LNS closed this month! 😮😢 So, now I spend my stitchy money at Pine Needles in Gardner Village, West Jordan, UT and at Stitchery X-spress, which is largely an online/Facebook stitchy store, but she's started hosting regular stitching get together and you can shop her huge selections of patterns and fabric while you are there!!! Stitchery X-spress is located in Syracuse, UT.

To spend stitching money I share between etsy shops, ebay sellers, and my LNS Craft Gallery. I want to try those dirt carrots with strawberries. Our favorite easter recipe is carrot cake with real super fine chipped carrots and applesauce. Praying for baby Zinnia! "My super power is growing a beard." I hope y’all had a blessed Easter! Here in the New Orleans region we eat boiled crawfish and a big pot of gumbo for Easter. I mostly shop at Etsy and 123 stitch. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.

Happy Easter! I didn’t feel like making turkey either this year so I made ham, roast potatoes, and carrots, salad, and green beans with onions and butter. I usually shop at Fat quarter shop for any of your charts. My favorite Easter tradition recipe is scalloped potatoes. My nana always made them for Easter and Christmas. It’s just the recipe in the Better Homes and Gardens recipe book that I use. They’re amazing! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Go o luck Chelsea I was induced too for my daughter not a fan of it but it was nice knowing when we were having her ahead of time. Love you both take care!
Happy Easter!! I mostly spend my money in your Etsy shop or at FQS. ❤ I love that baby bump! I always make my homemade noodles. Simple recipe 8 eggs, 1/4 cup oil (I use avocado or olive) 1/4 cup water. Mix. Add 1 Tbs of chicken soup base Add cups of flour until smooth, thick, and forming a ball. Mix on counter with additional flour until no longer sticky. Knead a few times. Pat into a circle. Roll until 1/4 inch thin. Cut with pizza cutter. I vary long and skinny or short and fat. Sprinkle with flour. Use metal spatula to flip and mix on counter. Let sit for 30 minutes minimum. Drop into boiling chicken broth (I usually add chicken soup base too). Boil until they float. So yummy. The flour that you tossed noodles with becomes a creamy gravy. Sometimes when I make additional gravy I’ll add it in once finished for an extra thick base.
2, 6, 7 can’t wait for blessed beyond measure. I already bought the finishing piece!!

Happy Easter! If I have extra money I spend it at Paisley and Poka Dots. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. A favorite recipe of mine is Cherry Cheese cake. I buy a shortbread crust from the store or you can buy graham cracker pie crust. Next take an 8 oz. block of softened cream cheese and one half cup powdered sugar, 1 teas.vanilla and beat together. Fold in an 8oz. container of cool whip place in the pie shell. Top with cherry or blueberry pie filling.
I am just getting back to cross stitching so haven't bought to many things just yet. I have gotten a few things at Little Red Hen in Muscatine Iowa. I make a Cherry Cheese Pie for every Easter. It is a no bake pie. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8

Fat Quarter Shop gets most of my stitchy money. We always make pineapple cheese salad - it sounds strange but the heavy pineapple syrup, sugar and heavy whipping cream sweeten it up and it's delish! Easter recipe is a old family recipe that my grandmother made their chocolate. Easter eggs in the middle is a vanilla cream with maraschino cherries. It's delicious.

Happy Easter !! 1 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 we make Paula Deans corn casserole 1)15 1/4 can whole kernel sweet corn drained. 1 14 3/4 can cream style corn. 1) 8 oz pkg jiffy corn muffin mix 1) cup sour cream. 1/2) cup melted butter. 1-1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix everything together except 1/2 cup cheese. Pour into greased dish. Bake for 45 min or until golden brown. Remove from oven top with cheese return to oven 5-10 min. Let Stand 5 min.

I spend my stitchy money at Cross My Heart Ltd. My Italian Grandmother used to make Easter bread with the eggs and without. I used to make a huge batch of the dough that you let rise overnight and punch it down. and then again for a few hours in the individual pans before you bake it. Fat Quarter Shop is my go to for most of my stitchy things. Love their fabrics for quilting too. Their customer Service is awesome with fast shipping. Easter was low key for my husband and I as the kids and their families went to respective in-laws for the holiday. The family’s all time favorites are my deviled eggs and my mother’s recipe for scalloped potatoes. Chelsea, you look so happy and glowing but miserable at heart same time. That last month is a trial of patience when you really just want it all to be over. Best wishes in your last days and birthing experience. 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8
Scalloped Potatoes
Bake potatoes and cool, then slice crosswise approximately a quarter inch wide.
Warm a can of evaporated milk in a sauce pan and add dehydrated onion to taste, at least a couple of tablespoons. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Grate sharp cheddar cheese
Layer in a casserole baking dish; sliced potatoes, cheddar cheese and pour a portion of the milk over the cheese, then repeat for each layer.
Bake at 350 degrees in oven until top layer of cheese is browned.
Increase quantity of ingredients to accommodate the number of people you are feeding.
Layer in a baking dish with grated cheddar cheese

Hope you all had a great Easter! it was rainy and cold here in Utah. We're supposed to get SNOW tomorrow again. I tried the raspberry pretzel 'salad'/dessert, but a lemon version. I am skipping Easter due to a migraine. Hopefully next week on the 7th will be our Easter. 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7, 8 . I have only made dinner rolls so far for Easter. But spare ribs are the protein.

I used to spend my money at FQS, but they are always out of items. (I understand the supply chain shortages. I open my emails immediately and can never catch sale items in stock. I seldom can find everything I want for one order. The postage cost these days is too high to make multiple orders.) I order from 1 2 3 Stitch now or Etsy. I usually get your charts from your Etsy shop. Happy Easter! We are doing a simple turkey breast dinner with sides and desserts. 1 , 5 , 7
Chelsea, I just heard on the news yesterday about the problem with Kias rolling when they were in park. When you were telling your story about the car, I wondered if you had a Kia. They say to be sure to use the parking brake until you can get it repaired. Just what you need right now, right? 😅 Priscilla, as someone who hates to cook, I really admire all of the cooking you do for your family gatherings!
