I heard "Reality" in the first part of the word so my assumption is it is not directly SAM ore but a material made from it. Though thinking about it he might have been saying "Refined Alien Matter"

Coffee Stain set a standard that really should be common practice for all early access games. It's a shame their methods aren't as popular as they should be, but I'm so happy we at least have this fantastic dev team

The way they do this -AND- how they worked with Josh (Lets Game it Out) early on (when he created the conveyor tornado) to make the game more performant (and the fact that they use it as one of the screen shots in Steam)...
I spit out my coffee at the end, the delivery of "WHAT THE SHIT IS GOING ON OUT HERE" is absolutely perfect.

Is this the mk 6 thing? Technically they always said they would have to go to ue5 for any faster belts so when they upgraded (again) to ue5 i think it was always a given :)

I've never even made it to Aluminum. Okay once I completed the phase to begin unlocking aluminum. But then there were updates and I restarted and I never got back there.

Yeah that's a real issue with early access games, they generally release after buyer's lifespan. But this one, i'm glad i bought it.
I am pulling for you, I think the game will be beatable in under 6 months, ignoring stuff like impossible items in the Ficsit store ( I already have that last impossible item, but it took 6 months of work, and running the game most of the day unattended.)

3. Burn the new clean fuel rods to get rid of the wastes.

I don't think it'll be clean. In that it'll likely be at least twice as radioactive as the plutonium waste. So grab your filters when setting up the chain and then keep a distance of 1km at all times after initiation. XD

I'd love for someone to make a VR mod for the game so I can actually walk around my factories to see what they actually look like from my character's perspective, and just listen to the sounds of the factory humming away, churning out thousands of parts.

Iron Ore --> Sulfur, Coal
Coal --> Sulfur
Sulfur --> Copper Ore, Limestone
Raw Quartz --> Copper Ore, Caterium Ore
Copper Ore --> Raw Quartz, Caterium Ore, Bauxite
Caterium Ore --> Bauxite, Nitrogen Gas
Bauxite --> Nitrogen Gas, Uranium Ore, Raw Quartz
Thoughts on gameplay:
- Lategame unlock. Doesn't affect progression much, but expands on lategame factory location viability.
- Sam Ore (and it's locations) becomes important lategame.
- Easier to make tidy factories with fewer types of input resources, at the cost of using more resources overall.
- It is more viable to build small factories which output a single high tier resource directly from raw resources.
- Converting might be redundant for players who extract a lot of all resources and use an extensive transport network.
- Nitrogen Gas/Uranium Ore can't be converted to other things, and Oil can't be converted to/from at all.
- Convertable resources are separated into two "categories", after Sulfur is converted to Copper Ore there is no going back.
- More viable locations for local Steel production in the endgame, since useless Limestone (or Iron) can be converted to Coal.
- The most game-changing conversion might be Copper Ore to Bauxite, since many advanced materials require small amounts of it and Bauxite located far away and high up on the map.
- In practice, I think it'll best to only convert ones, since each times uses additional Sam Ore. This makes converting less daunting, since you don't need to consider conversion chains. Instead, it will be best used to skip building infrastructure to import as many resource types.
After sleeping on it, perhaps the converter is unlocked in the MAM or story which is parallel to the tier progression system. So it can unlocked earlier than tier 9.
SAM Ore is what he says when it's garbled up, you can read his lips Strange Alien Matter he calls it now, instead of Strange Alien Metal. Edit - sorry, I might have been mistaken, but when he is talking about the excited photonic matter, he says it's created due to Strange Alien Matter Fluctuators. That's certain.
Anyone else catch that phase 5 takes "AI EXPANSION servers"? We already have AI LIMITERS to "prevent AIs from evolving in malicious ways." Going the opposite direction sounds pretty ominous, to say the least.

It's a brain fps sampling effect, for example it happens when you watch tire's of a car, you can google it, in short if you take pictures of the ores every 1/30 sec (brain frame sampling i think its 30 but i am not sure 60 or 30 or somewhere around those) you can see the new ores are behind previous ores in each frame, brain attaches these frames and in this situation you see ores are going backwards, this effect is dependent on speed of conveyor belts, and has periodic function based on that
I also thought it was revealing some "send stuff into the miner" weird tech at first
With them being the worst nuclear fuel, I'm gonna have to check if Fixonium Fuel Rods are worth the extra energy and resources from the production chain, or if it makes more sense to sink Fixonium directly...

@@Neo-vz8nh I went back to check. The *Fixonium Fuel Rods* do not, but the *Fixonium* does. I however was missing that the Fixonium Fuel Rods need Excited Photonic Matter so I have updated it. 18:16 for reference.

Please! Let me give you more of my money! I don't ever want this game to lose support and end! I need you to keep making DLC/sequels/updates for the rest of my life and I'll happily be waiting with my wallet out!
I first bought it from Epic Store. I really needed a fun Coop Game to play with friends without preasure. But I played it more in Alpha state then most games that I played only after full release. So as soon as it came out on Steam too, I purchased it again. The initial 29.99€ was just to little for this gemstone and I wanted to support them more. I mean if they ever make a Flush DLC just for support, that would be another option. But for now that was the best way for me. So now I payed 59.98€, an amount that some AAA games cost in Delux Edition. And I still think this games was the best deal for a game I ever made.

@@TimbavatiLion I know what you mean. Back in the 'can't dispose of uranium waste' days I made a towering Sky Prison to hold it all - likewise covered in huge warning signs 😂. Then it became possible to process it and I stored the resulting plutonium far out at sea, right at the edge of the map. Was kinda fun building to cater for waste.
Though perhaps there's a downside to burning it completely - the Ficsonium could be pretty resource-intensive to make, and yields little power. I already limit uranium waste processing to save on pressure conversion cubes. So storage could still be a sensible option.

As for the quantum fluid...I imagine that it's like if you added a third axis to a phase diagram. Like right now, if you take a material at zero Kelvin, it's generally a solid. If you heat it up, it becomes a liquid. If you heat it up even more, it becomes a gas or supercritical fluid. If you heat that up enough, it becomes a plasma. But what happens if you change how time works?
I think the only thing that I haven't seen that I so dearly want is a mini storage container/parts dispenser for making an automatically refilling parts hub. A small (8-12 stack) storage bin with a conveyor input that stacks to the same dimensions as the conveyor splitters do. That way the central parts hub doesn't have to be massive or use gimmicks to have reasonable access to all the parts.

In the past there used to be this genuine excitement from the people making a videogame which is now all but absent in the industry.
I truly hope that the success and the joy produced by this studio and resulting game inspires more studios to rethink their game development strategy and steer away from monetization first and game second mentality.

I love how the more advanced parts have like one toe dipped into real science. It gives a level of grounding to this game and its world. I also like how they don't shy away from the complex names of these advanced and/or theoretical materials/science. It makes the player feel smart and also learn something if they happen to google a name they are not familiar with. Keep it up guys, I can't wait for 1.0!!!!

Out of the couple thousand hours I've played in Satisfactory, I've never made it past phase 5 before creating a new world. I think a lot of it was because there was no end-game. Looking forward to 1.0!

I've been so desperate for another game of Satisfactory recently, but with 1.0 coming I've not wanted to start a fresh save knowing that it's all going to change very soon. I've been inhaling recipe and build videos and I feel like I'm studying for a job - and I love it. Extremely hype
