Lil Yachty sits down with Zane Lowe discuss his latest project, which became the #1 Rock Album in the country. Been a yachty fan forever and I never underestimated his creativity, but I'll admit that I did not expect him to execute this well. This is a truly cohesive, truly special album unlike any of his others, even the ones I love.

@@henryslatt9041 I think we are also just very impressed that he did something so different and it’s at least a decent listen. For comparison I listened to Dark Side of the Moon and I was underwhelmed after reading how amazing it was supposed to be.

Been a fan of yachty since 2017 and its not like some other rappers tht I listen to them and eventually I dont bc the feeling is just not there anymore, but with yachty I dont think I will ever get tired he always amazes me like the first time I heard him.
man I love this album so much. Always liked Yachty since I first heard the Lil Boat tape in 2016, but he just became one of my all time favorites with this one. Really hope he make more albums like this.

My whole first experience with lil yachty was about 2 weeks ago - Poland randomly came on in a playlist, i thought it was neat but ultimatly kind of a joke. Couple of days later i'm seeing music channels saying that the same lil yachty made a psych rock album - i couldnt quite marry the idea of this joke song about taking the wock to poland with something akin to Tame Impala, this had to be investigated.
57 minutes of bliss later, and you have my full attention and my respect Yachty. This is a beautiful album, and i cannot wait to hear/see where he goes next.
Yea bro the soundtrack on failure sends me thru the roof every time . I try not to listen soo much because I don’t want to wear it out . But yatchy dropped a medicine ❤ ❤

Not gonna lie, I was a Yachty back in the early days of his career. But the more I hear him talk the more I like him, like music aside. And all the press he's been doing leading up to this album has really impressed me. I think the album is ambitious and powerful and that is something I never expected to hear from Yachty. I think he has separated himself from his peers with this album.

yeah this album is crazy. ice always known dude had it in him, but to make something this creative out the blue is wild. not a perfect execution by any means (imo) but its a very good LP. i give it a solid 8/10.

Just to spell it out to you... Yachty isn't doing anything different. In fact his vocals are the weak point of the album for me, while instrumentals seem to be written by other people. So reading this album is like Pink Floyd's music "reincarnated and modernized" just leaves the same bad taste in my mouth as hearing Greta Van Fleet.

Now his questions for Drake about his mother in their interview together make sense, he doesn’t feel like his mother truly is proud of him and I’m sure takes that’s even more personal being a water sign .
I wish someone could tell Yachty there's extensive footage of Dark Side being made, both on the Classic Albums episode about Dark Side and I think on the Live at Pompeii video.

He did a great job with the album because you can feel that it wasn't forced and it was a legit experimental body of art with no expectations tied to it. & I didnt even listen to the album completely just because this isn't the Yachty sound i particularly wanted to hear.. but as a fan of his for so long im happy that its receiving so much love from not just his fans but the industry as well. I personally cant wait for his next rap album.
