11th August 1997 5107 at Gent St Pieters with the ECS from L5110, 09:46 Geraardsbergen - Gent St Pieters 5122 in the tunnels under Brussels then leaving Brussel-Midi
Great video. The last train, looks like the Mons - Fris Only evening peak service from Bruxelles Nord to Geraadsbergen. I managed to get the same loco (5122), on that service 5 weeks earlier than your video, on the 4th July 1997. It remains the only NMBS/SNCB 51 that I have ridden behind. I was forced to bail at Zottegem, as I needed to hurry back to Bruxelles Midi, in order to catch the last Eurostar back to, then, London Waterloo. It was tight, but I made it. Well worth a day off work to get a Belgium Class 51.
Classic Belgian traction, was this the Blankenberge tourist train?, as far as I know one of the rare occasions of a 51 on passenger stock running trough Brussels by then. But I'm not sure, there were some rush hour trains with 51's via Brussels, but they were discontnued somewhere in the 1990's.

1997 : La 5122 dépendait à cette époque du dépôt de Schaerbeek... Conduite par la "Bande à Pierre H.", quel beau bruit quand même...
