  • In this easy cooking video, I cook a chicken half with rice in my Instant Pot Ultra electric pressure cooker. The ingredients to my easy chicken and rice recipe are half of a whole organic chicken, 1 cup of long grain brown rice, 1 1/2 cups of water, 1 teaspoon of Better then Bouillon, and 3 carrots. I seasoned the chicken with Kinder's Mild BBQ Rub. Then browned it for 5-10 minutes on the High saute' setting. Finally, I added all of the ingredients and cooked them on the Rice setting, and let the pressure release on it's own. Total cooking time was 45 minutes.

I really enjoy watching your videos, just to see how you cook different things. Since watching your videos I have tried Johnny's seasoned pepper and Royal Oak lump charcoal both. I am pleased to report I truly like them both. I think they should be sponsoring your channel. Thank you for the great content!

I agree with @oldbuzzard. I had never heard of Johnny's seasoned pepper and I ordered it online only because you recommended it and use it on everything. Johnny's should be sponsoring you!

Looks so good.. More crock pot meals please. I always love the way Annie will wait for a bite of whatever you cook , before she eats her own meal in her bowel. So cute. Thank you again

Use kitchen scissors to cut off 2 inches off end of chicken leg (bone part) and it will fit better!

I love how you just toss stuff together, on a (chicken) wing & a prayer! 🙂 I love chicken, rice, & veggies. The only thing I’d humbly add is, once the cooking is done, check the internal temp of the chicken to make sure it’s 165 degrees. Thanks for the Instant Pot segment! I need to use my IP more often.

I'm not sure if you can roast but you can sear meat and slow cook it.

I'm going to try this tasty-looking meal. Thank you. As a side note, I read the ingredients on the Better Than Bullion before ordering it to be delivered with my groceries because I try to avoid soy, & soy was not listed in the ingredients on the shopping site. However, I was disappointed to see soy listed in the ingredients on the label when it arrived. Soy mimics estrogen in the body causing both men & women to gain weight. It messes up the body & brain in other ways as well including that they react to the high omega six content of soy like they respond to anabolic steriods. It's in just about everything we buy from the grocery store that comes in a box, a jar, a can, or a bottle. "Food" manufacturers use it because it's versatile & cheap instead of using high-quality food. Like you, I believe it's entirely worth it to spend more money on high-quality food. Not only does it taste better, it's better for our brains & for our bodies as well. I eat, now, to try to reverse the damage caused by the "food" industry that I used to trust for decades.
