Imho, RE will never be as good as it was, without going back to having great soundtracks like RE3. Don't get me wrong, I liked REmake 2 - I liked it so much, that I got every achievement on steam, including the dlc achievements - but good music can turn a good game into a timeless masterpiece. Graphics age, so does the gameplay, but great music will always be great music. Take the DKC series as an example; before DKCR, the series lived on mostly due to its great soundtrack.
Ah... The moment where Carlos discovers the hunters... The beta hunters, to be precise. Whilst not as deadly as their alpha counterparts from the very first Resident Evil game, they are still very dangerous and must NEVER be underestimated...
While Resident Evil 3 offers a wider weaponry, Hunters Beta can decapitate the player on Caution state (yellow health) so I never fuck around with these creatures. I remember almost beating The Mercenaries with Mikhail and a Hunter cutting his head clean off :D

I think the only thing the remake did right was extend the hospital section
If the remake would have include the clock tower zone, the park and the big worm boss , Re3 remake would be one the best

Those hunters are the worse enemy of the dodge mechanics. Cornered by two hunters is the worst.
