    The revo kept me in the game! It kept me on a small board at 60! 50 years of surfing, and my absolute favorite board! But it's time, and just as I was starting to look at mid lengths, someone at my local shop told me about this. Trading in my 6'4 ghost, that pretty much is just gathering dust in my garage in South Florida and so looking forward to getting my hands on the Revo Max!

      Reality check . He normally rides a 5' and a bit length and 4 or more liters less volume. A 31 litre 6 footer is a full on mid length for him!

      @@a.lame.username. Yes, that's why for normal people you can't call this thing a midlenght, just look at dims and shape, this board will be way too fast and uncontrollable at a real midlenght size IMO, exactly like riding an oversized mph.

    Just picked up a 6'9 yesterday and surfed it this am in mushy shoulder high plus waves. So far it's a winner. Paddles into waves extremely well and once up and going it's surprisingly nimble and quick for its size. I only surfed backside, can't wait to get some frontside waves on it. I read a few reviews saying it's got a snowboard carvey feel and I totally agree. I'm really excited to get it dialed with more surfs but this is a big winner for me so far.

  • @geoffsmith4538
    @geoffsmith4538 2 місяці тому

    question! on sizing for a revo mid length, do you recommend going with more foam than you can duck dive a good wave? is it that kind of mid length where you don't want to be sitting inside or does it still serve its purpose if you size it at a volume where you can push it under a good wave and then still have it paddle early into the next wave.

    is this a step-up or a midlength. The promotion on this has been a bit confusing. I'm guessing it's kind of both, if my experience with Tomo's is anything to go by. But still, it's not entirely clear, if they're trying to attract people who are ardent Tomo afficionados.

      I rode one and it paddles like a dream, and it was easy to catch anything I wanted. Once up it feels like a smaller high performance board but with the twin keels you get that glide and ability to style. Super cool board I want to buy one! Love Tomo boards, this will be my 4th. .

No talk about the thinking that went into the design, how it rides or any excitement regarding its performance (just that it’s a post injury crutch)- I was keen when I heard this was coming and now I’m not so sure.
