Content: a clip from the Dutch movie Jongens (Boys) starring Gijs Blom as "Sieger" and the awesome Ko Zandvliet as "Marc", by female director Mischa Kamp. This is the small scene at the funfair. Helpful warning: it may break your heart. Still, enjoy.

This is an amazing scene. The actors do an incredible job conveying their emotions through their facial expressions, eyes and body language. You feel the pain and sadness Marc is feeling when he sees Sieg with Jessica. You know he's devastated and hurt. You have to feel for him and you want to make everything better. But I think you also have to feel for Sieg...you know he cares about Marc and really wants to be with him. The pain I see on Sieg's face is the pain of wanting to be who he really is versus trying to be what society and his family think he should be. It's clear he would rather be with Marc....he just hasn't gotten to the place where he can be who is without worrying about what others might think. I can relate to his struggle. It's a very real and difficult battle to come to terms with who you are when society tells you you should be something else. This short scene in my opinion is so important to the story this movie is telling.
Joey Rosser I agree. This is one movie were you don't need dialogue because the actor's face expressions tell the story and that's incredible. That's also what I call good acting.

Yes. I really like the Marc character. His Macho, daring, style who just want to achieve what he wants.

The sad part is that this is not the last time Sieger hurts Marc. Later when they're gonna swim, but Sieger bails on him and pushes him.
YixinggnixiY Imagine how marc felt that night. Imagine how much hour sleep can you get with that feelings in your heart. Not to mention they have a relay tommorow. And you can feel how deeply hurt zieg is. Hurting someone you love is the most hurtful thing you can do to yourself.

Fantastic acting by all. I went through scenes similar to this a few times at disco's in the past. Music pumping,everyone laughing and enjoying themselves,but my happiness was an act, as looking at my ex ( who decided he was straight after all ) with his new girlfriend was tearing me apart inside.
This whole movie is so beautifully shot. This is my favorite scene but the camera work in the whole thing is just great.

Está es la escena más triste que he visto me partió el corazón ver como se comunicaban por las expresiones faciales y decía mucho ver a Marc demasiado impacto y triste a la vez. Me encanta esta película sobre todo con la parte de M83 con su canción en esa escena.
Veo los comentarios y no importa la procendencia de los mismos. Internacionalmente se entiende igual en todo el mundo, en esa mirada de Marc. Se puede leer cuales son las preguntas que Marc le hace a Sieg. Luego del beso, el corazón roto de Marc y un "lo siento" como respuesta en la mirada de Sieg. Por cierto... descubrí mediante esta extraordinaria escena a M83. Excelente el trabajo de los actores y el director.
I see the comments and no matter the provenance. Internationally it is understood the same throughout the world, that look of Marc . You can read what are the questions that Marc does to Sieg . After the kiss, Marc heartbroken and a "sorry " answer in the eyes of Sieg . By the way ... I discovered through this extraordinary scene M83 . Excellent work of the actors and the director.

Necro Chan Mauricio Cordoba That is odd. In the original DVD version it is M83 playing in this scene. This clip is taken from a TV broadcast and I certainly didn't change it either. Can you tell us which song is playing in the NETFLIX version?

Necro Chan It probably has to do with a licensing issue. It changes when it's from streaming to video. Sometimes, songs are replaced for streaming to avoid paying fees.

Sieg's not mad at Marc, he's mad at himself, scared and frustrated and desperate. He's just confused and lost, trying to figure himself out and unfortunately marc gets hurt in the process :(
