  • We got the Crestliner Vision 1600 out on the water for it's first trip. There were no leaks in the boat other than a leaky peto line in the lap and that was a quick fix and also a funny thing to see happen.
The Evinrude Etec 75hp was a perfect match for this boat. The hole shot was awesome and the top speed was surprising.
A HUGE shootout to the crew at Free Spirit Marine in Edmonton for the awesome sale and service on this setup. You guys have been great from the first conversation.

I knocked my sunglasses off my hat at one point and of course they fell in the lake.

I'm looking at this same boat. I'm curious, how wide is the trailer (fender to fender or where the widest point is)? I have a tight gate I would need to roll it through and wondering if it would fit. I know most aluminum boats are beyond 8 feet on the trailer, my gate is 93 inches wide.

I’m not sure the trailer width on that boat. It’s my buddies and he has it in storage right now. Crestliner website shows it at 90” on trailer

Nice boat! I just bought a lightly used 2016 vision 1600, 60 HP merc CT. I have an ulterra i-Pilot linked to a helix 9 MSI. Just a word of caution, the stock Marinco 40amp plug and outlet as well as the stock 50 amp breaker is not good enough. Minn Kota calls for 60 amp. I swapped my stuff out. If you have issues losing spot lock or stow/deploy, those items will likely be the cause. Luckily, the stock 8 gauge wiring is ok. I’ve only been out once with my boat and love it! Congrats and best of luck with yours.

I'll have to double check but i believe this boat was pre rigged with a 70Amp Marinco and the fuse was 60 amp. Definitely great advice though. I have a video of us rigging the boat on my channel as well if you haven't already seen it.
Glad you like your boat, I know he loves his so far. Where do you live, what lakes are you fishing?

@@BulatOutdoors oh nice! Glad to hear Crestliner upgraded that on the new models. Good to know. I'm in Winnipeg and fish Lake Winnipeg primarily.

That thing goes good for a 75. I guess those etecs are pretty fast though. I got a 115 yamaha vmax and a 175 that weighs 1375lbs and I can only get 41.3 mph with full tank of gas (134 liters) and 2 people. Great vid I'm new subscriber 😉

We all love our etec. It’s sad that they are no longer. He’s slowed down a bit in this warm summer air but sure is enjoying his boat this summer. Thanks for the Sub, I hope you like the other content

@@BulatOutdoors yeah I was surprised to hear they will no longer make it or Evinrude motors in general. Something to do with the 2 stroke design? Odd. Surprised they weren't putting Etecs on all they're alumicrafts while Lund seems to be putting Mercury's on they're boats. I put a Yamaha on mine for reliability. Anyway you guys are doing a great job with your vids keep them coming😉

I say it at the end of the video. 36mph with all 3 of us and 37mph alone. The prop change got him another mph I believe

At first they weren’t wearing them but they were in the boat. Half way through I had a discussion with them and they put them on and now always wear them when the boat is on plane. I always wear mine when travelling, the auto inflatables are very comfortable and lightweight
