I think Jojo is well aware that her audience is a 1 year old - 10 year old one. But she loves it! Would you judge someone who wants to be a Clown for Kids in Hospitals to lift them up? So why can't you just accept a girl with a mission? I'm not a fan of hers but I think it is impressive what she has created and how confident she is.
Liane Voelker exactly this!! Why do people have to attack people for everything? I have no idea who she is and frankly I found her a bit annoying but from what I can see she’s a confident and determined young woman who’s spreading a really valuable message to a whole generation of kids at a time that it’s really needed. Plus I think there should be more music for kids - there really isn’t much nowadays, good on her for trying to fill that gap!
I think an issue people experience is that the infantilzation of young women and girls is very real and damaging, and the stuff JoJo may create artistically may be harmless but it's also a little bit dumbed down, and we think our children and teens are capable of absorbing and appreciating more intelligent and complex themes and entertainment. Things can be "not grown up" and still challenge our children intellectually and artistically.

Shes a 16 year old that spends her days making kids of all ages so happy. Even me a 36 year old finds joy in her. Most 16 year old performers are flaunting their bodies and caring more about themselves then others. I think its nice for once to see someone like JoJo care for kids teens and adults so much. Shes a great role model and reminds us to always shine bright and live with our hearts at all times xo hugs to you xo

I actually think the bow idea is really awesome, sure it’s a marketing gimmick but I love the message it’s spreading. I think kids need that. As an autistic adult I’ve often wished there was a thing like this for everyone.

My two daughters love JoJo and I think she’s a great role model for them, and yes they wear bows and make friends everywhere they go.
Jojo is such an inspiration and wonderful role model for our children!! Our daughter is only 9 and has unfortunately dealt with bullying. Jojo’s music and message is nothing but positive and has uplifted our daughter’s spirits and given her a boost of confidence. We love you Jojo and are so grateful for all that you’ve done!! My daughter actually love Jo Jo. And to this 2019 Christmas we found bows everywhere, and there's not single bow like Jo Jo's. And she's so worried about that and she starting scolding that why there no big bows in Sri Lanka like Jo Jo's? And I really had no answer to give. And I told her that because most of people in Sri Lanka don't now who is Jo Jo Siwa. And she started to angry. She's made videos and she understands that's what the right ponytails do but she said she's used to it and find it strange to have her hair down - so it is by choice/default, not because she's forced to! :)
@@slovakgal I dont feel she is forced to wear the bows but I do think as a 16y old child with multi million dollar sales wrapped up in the marketing of those bows, she may not be making a wise decision for the future of her hairline. These concerts and her ability to entertain children as she is doing today will not last forever and when its all over and the bows are put away, she may regret that she didnt put her receding hairline before the bows. And I find that sad. Im not judging her, im concerned for her.

I think she’s a really sweet girl and the concept behind her bows is so beautiful, but with the price point on these bows (most are over $10, up to $20), it usually ends up being upper class kids that have a massive collection, and tend to make fun of kids from lower class backgrounds that don’t have a “real” JoJo bow...

I don't know Jojo very well, I don't keep up with younger generations all that well, however, can someone explain to me why she is getting so much dislike from the comments. To me, from just this interview and some of the others I've seen, she looks like she has her head on her shoulders, not all child performers are going to turn out like Britney, Miley, and others. From what I can tell she has her family support, she has people to help her organize her goals, that's a lot better than how a lot of people do. I don't see her turning out to have a huge mental breakdown, honestly, the performers that have public mental breakdowns are those that have no support, no one to turn to, their life is as messy as the media butting in. Yes, shes a pop idol, but I see it as a lot more organized, a bigger group effort and more support than what others have, so why is she getting so much hate. Did she do something? Or is it just the normal jealous media hate?
a lot of people criticize her for being 16 but acting younger since everyone is used to 16 year olds acting older than they should be. Im not a fan of hers, but I have watched a few of her videos and things shes done and shes actually such a nice kid. She recently did a thanksgiving video where she surprised random kids in target and bought them toys, and talked about being thankful and she loves to give back and show teenagers that you can still have fun without acting crazy, She doesn't cuss, she doesn't party, shes just being a kid. I think a lot of people don't like seeing someone so secure in their personality and someone not afraid to be who they are no matter how silly it may be to others, especially at a young age.
@@KdotGames So it's the normal media jealous dislike. Okay, I wasn't sure why people were giving her hate, when I heard nothing bad of her, and haven't seen any drama that included her. It's normal for anyone successful to have some kind of hate. It's unfortunate, but people get jealous or it's not their cup of tea and wants to throw their opinions. These things are just normal, when she gets to the age where she can't continue to put on the child act to help her connect to the children, she'll mature her performances. Although, honestly, if she starts now, she can honestly, start slowly transitioning from her tween act that she started, and create a much older act that can still do and connect with the people she wants to. I think the hardest thing for performers is to transition from one public face to another, only because they never are allowed time to change.
MeetByTheRiver I agree 100%, in some of the other videos she’s been in with other UA-camrs she’s definitely toned down and acts a lot calmer and more mature, I guess that’s the right word, but I’d love to see her start transitioning as well.

But then there's children like my daughter who got bullied because she didn't have a jojo bow, we couldn't justify paying £8+ for one. We eventually got her one for Christmas that year and she was then bullied AGAIN by the SAME group of girls because they werent cool anymore 🙄
