Her voice is phenomenal Sugarland has several hit like “Baby Girl” “Settlin’” , “All I want to Do”, “ It Happens” , “ Stuck like Glue” etc But my favorite performance of their was at a Brooks and Dunn tribute event where they performed “Red Dirt Road” (original by Brooks and Dunn) I like this one because you also get to hear Christian sing. Jennifer has also performed with many other artist notable “Who Says you Can’t Go Home” with Bon Jovi as well as duets with Idina Menzel, Josh Groban and others. Her version of “Oh Holy Night” is breathtaking.

This is pure raw emotion. Jennifer was going through a divorce at the time. She has repeatedly said this song wasn't about her ex-husband and that he didn't cheat on her. Before joining Sugarland and becoming primarily country, Jennifer used to sing a lot of rock. She performed multiple times at Eddie's Attic in Atlanta. Jennifer Nettles is an extremely underrated singer & artist. Please dive further into Sugarland. ❤❤ "baby girl" i believe was the 1st big hit. Among many others.
They started as a trio, but the the other Kristen left the band right after the 1st album took off. That 12st album had several major country hits.
I am so glad I found this vid today. Havent heard song in long time but sang along like it was yesterday. Her singing voice is one of those u instantly recognize like Pink, Elvis or Natalie Maines from Dixie Chicks. I highly recommend the song "Joey" by Sugarland. Jennifer wrote it in memory of a love lost in an accident ❤👍

This band is great. You probably heard a couple of their first big hits way back in the day, Something More and Baby Girl. Some of their other songs I highly recommend are Joey, Love, Tonight, Incredible Machine, Down in Mississippi, Little Miss, and Incredible Machine (Interlude).

There is more to the story.... I'm a big trivia buff and I hang on to the background details. Kristian was VERY CONCERNED about how emotional this was for Jennifer. This was MORE than acting! Jennifer was really falling apart. This song is also a break from their normally fun music - Stuck Like Glue.

Jennifer is a phenomenal pure singer. I don't think she has ever hit an off note. For an upbeat song by Sugarland the band. Try "Down in Mississippi and up to no good". The Live version. It's a fun romp.

others know more about them...i believe she wrote this going through divorce...it kills me 😢
she did right it, but it was prompted by Reba's "Whoever's In New England". Jennifer was inspired to tell the story from the other woman. About the time they recorded this she was dealing with divorce, her ex had not cheated on her, but clearly still very emotional for her.
Actually Jennifer Nettles wrote this song four years before it was released, so it wasn't based on her own marriage/divorce. But the emotional response as she sings it is obviously very real.
