MOE,The toilet usually has a little leaver on the base by the floor, also there are holding tanks 1 for sewer(black tank) and 1 for (gray) for sink,shower you have to find a place for dumping usually at campsites. Look into used pull behind ones. They are better for you when you are going to locations. Big Rvs are harder to get into places. When a rv you probably would have to rent a vehicle to get to places. Maybe look into a pull behind with a toy hauler, you could store equipment and possibly make another bedroom in that space.

I'm going to tell you my thoughts on used campers and motor homes as I have owned a few! Do not go cheap!!!! If you need parts it can get difficult to find them for older units! I wouldn't buy anything over 8 years old and buy it from a reputable dealership who has gone threw everything and repaired anything that needs it. Maybe a warranty! More importantly the older units do not have all the safety features that are required in newer units! Old furnaces, or gas stoves can leak exhaust and kill you if not detected! You can find low milage units with many cool features already there! Old ones can turn into money pits and not as safe. Newer ones will get better mileage and steer easier and better sound proofed! Motor, suspension, electric, plumbing, appliances, outlets, tires, brakes shocks as you know all can get wore out fast. These things aren't light! I have purchased a few older ones that had everything run on propane gas. The lights, fridge, furnace all ran on propane which was great off grid! Now I would buy something newer and safer! You know the saying....You get what you pay for! It suck's to have one of these break down as it needs to get towed and find a place that can even repair it with older parts needed! Take your time on this one! Good luck! I mentioned to Jasko months before he got a camper to get one for safety inside it rather than the tent! MAKE SURE IT WAS NEVER IN ACCIDENT TOO!!! Nothing wrong with a motorhome. I hope it all works out for you and yes it will save money on hotels. A smart investment. I believe Jasko has a camping van (not sure the right name for it). I would get one that you would have to pull. My cousin has one and it's a 2017 and she loves it. Hi Moe, if your camper does not have shades for every window, and even the door, make sure you get shades. You don’t want anybody possibly looking in while you’re sleeping. You just never know, and privacy is very important. Can’t wait to see the new camper!

I’d get one you can tow, or a fifth wheel for your truck. The only issue with that, is you have to make sure you have a spot you can safely leave the camper while you disconnect and use your vehicle. Campgrounds are cheaper than hotels but most up north are likely seasonal. My family has had trailers we’ve towed and a camper like the one you are looking at. Our camper, (Winnebago) had a more practical layout than the one in this video. It couldn’t have been much bigger, but still had a kitchen, dinette, couch, full bath, huge bed in the back, and bunk above the driver. The tow trailer we got later on was longer, with bunk beds in the back and a private bedroom in the front. I think my dad liked being able to detach it so he could just drive the truck separately when we wanted. There are so many types these days, you’ll be able to find something that works for you!

The first one is in good shape for the age. The issue I see is the bed being in the corner. I had one like that and it is so very hard to make up and hard for the person in the back to get out. When it comes to trailers or motorhomes, newer is usually better. Remember, people have "lived" in these used ones before. Not sure about Canada, but in the US you are not allowed to cook or lay down and sleep while the motorhome is in motion. You can get up to grab something real fast, but not for a long period of time. The second one looked like the inside of our first big travel trailer we had. Can't wait to see the one you did get.

If you going with a caravan you can get bunk beds and a kitchen outside, a shower are and a separate main bedroom area with a privacy screen and you can free camp with solar panels and you can leave the caravan on a sight whilst you are doing adventures
If you decide to buy something that you can drive instead of tow, why not buy an old school bus or something and do a complete renovation to be a motor home. It would be one BIG project but it would be so cool to see what you bought and how it changes into a really nice motor home.
I’ve got so many things to tell you… you both need to watch so many videos of so many people do this but they actually live in their camper or vans & they renovate to what they want & they do it themselves young women & they do excellent jobs please watch Hannah Lee Duggan or even van life! They are entertaining & really good! My tip…use solar panels & batteries is better power than propane😊 so exciting you would love it I think! Oh yeah when you drive them the passengers & children have to be belted in so car seats for the girls. You also can fix anything you want that you don’t like as in how noisy it is. You insulate it anyway for the temperature to be comfortable so you can pad it where the noises are & voilà the noise & creaks & squeaks are gone! I hope you get one & do it👍🏻😃

Here are a few more very important things to consider Moe! It all sounds good at first to say you want a project to fix up! Well older campers can be huge headaches and endless projects and money pits! I wouldn't buy anything used except from a larger licensed reputable dealership that will not take old trades in that is to old, or they know they are junk! They have to go threw used campers completely to be able to sell them as well! Old campers have problems like seals in all the pumps that dry out! Wiring insulation dry out and crack no longer protecting from moisture or arching that can cause fires! You do not want old wires leading to your gas and carbon monoxide detection to ever fail with old these older wires. Remember these old units had to be stored somewhere too??? If outside or some barn squirrels, mice, rats, chipmunks may have visited your old camper many many years chewing on important things in walls! Never buy a unit in Canada, or colder weather states either. Especially Canada!!! Canada puts down very corrosive stuff on your roads that destroys the frames of everything! Most lenders I use here in Michigan check titles on used vehicles to make sure it wasn't a Canadian vehicle due to what is put on Canadian roads due to the corrosive materials are so so bad! I was told they will not lend money on any Canadian vehicle period at many of my banks or credit unions here! So find a warm state that doesn't use salt or corrosive stuff in case the camper was ever used for winter camping! The other nemesis to these old campers is sitting for years or not used much! Like anything not using mechanical things can be as terrible to engines, transmissions, pump motors,ect! All the oils drain to bottom leaving metal and rubber gaskets to dry out, or rust. Especially the brakes! Yeah we all get that in todays world everything is costing twice as much for half of what we get! Cut back on going out to eat, or memberships, trips, lawn services, ect... Not vehicles! Campers that are fairly newer depreciate faster and you can find deals rather than your 👉great great grandpa's,👴👵 grandpa's dads second cousins, Uncle's brothers, neighbors bosses, sons, friends old camper!😂 Old campers remind me of the All State Insurance. commercial of that guy who portrays himself as 👉 Meyhem! 😈. It’s nice to renovate a motorhome the way you want it, but you can watch a lot of videos on it especially motorhomes nowadays the new ones they got better insulation, but the older ones have to really insulate them but the model 1996 anything higher than that it’s little bit better on gas the older ones you’re gonna be guzzling but I like to see you try to renovate one for your needs but if you get a tow to behind you have to give overboard springs for your vehicle and you gotta make sure if you’re training in your drive train can actually handle by pulling it and you have to do research on that but getting an RV that sounds a little bit more worth it than getting a pull behind

We stayed at the dealership the first day and night hooked up there and we still didn't find all the issues untill our first trip out. Luckily we had a repair place that had it all covered under our warranty. Some thing when we were out we had to call mobile mechanic. Most things now we can fix and we keep the maintenance up. We also had a huge double carport built on our property so it stays protected better.

I definitely think you should get a towable one.....!!! Being able to detach and ride free when needed, seems ro make more sense.
It’s nice to renovate a motorhome the way you want it, but you can watch a lot of videos on it especially motorhomes nowadays the new ones they got better insulation, but the older ones have to really insulate them but the model 1996 anything higher than that it’s little bit better on gas the older ones you’re gonna be guzzling but I like to see you try to renovate one for your needs but if you get a tow to behind you have to give overboard springs for your vehicle and you gotta make sure if you’re training in your drive train can actually handle by pulling it and you have to do research on that but getting an RV that sounds a little bit more worth it than getting a pull behind

Yay...hauntober. Im so glad you got a camper. So did Josh. I mean his cost some bucks. I jonestly think Shadia has such hood taste she can help. Honst Moe, live a little! Do a mix of retro and futuristic. You can get this camper totally cool for family and friends. Wish i could go shopping with Shadia. But she has her mom so shes not all alone with this. Moe you should buy 2 a towable one and a driveable one!As u said drivable 1 is good for road trips with Carlo, Angelo etc towable great for family trips.

Hey Moe, it's great that you want to get a camper van/ motorhome, but it's my opinion that, it would be better to buy a new one. I say that because buying something used, you never know what could happen with it, and just think how much more money you would be putting into it.

@@Igotyupls Well he will figure it out. The brand new ones off the lot are not perfect. We stayed at the dealership the first day and night hooked up there and we still didn't find all the issues untill our first trip out. Luckily we had a repair place that had it all covered under our warranty. Some thing when we were out we had to call mobile mechanic. Most things now we can fix and we keep the maintenance up. We also had a huge double carport built on our property so it stays protected better.
