So sad kids today don't know what good music is. Clean, wholesome, and a person could understand the lyrics. These songs evoked feelings of first "puppy love". We'd listen to the same song over and over again. Those were the days!!! Loved them.
A time of innocence that kids will never experience today - I grew up in the 1950s, in a neighborhood where everybody knew everybody and the center of the neighborhood was the church. I turn 82 next month and still am in contact with some of my old friends.
i am 78 and i remember dancing to this music,i still love i canot dance any more i lost my partner 7 ears ago i have arthrtis in both knees but listening to this i feel back to the good old days,when we would dance all night,i just love this music it takes me back to the good old days when we thought we would never grow old.

Its so sad as many of us are with the same person and for me, its already 40 years and how time flies. Eventhough I do not dance much with my partner or in Asia, we call them husband but being together for such a long time somehow gets both of you to a certain peace & understanding and its great for we somehow can tell what the other is thinking about ... I grew up with the Everly Brothers. What harmony! I loved their music in the 1950s and 1960s. I was in the Navy and had a serious love for a nurse 3 years older than me. She was the love of my life. I’ve never forgotten her and still keep in touch with her daughter. My nurse is 83 now and in a nursing home with dementia. I hope she is my last memory when I leave this world!

I'm a 1957 graduate of Wachusett Regional High School and I lived in the best eras for the greatest music of all time, still enjoying it as I fast approach my 84th birthday. I'm now spending as a two time widower. I'll listen until I get home to my wives and family in Heaven 💖🙏🙏

This is music , songs that express all kind of feelings , sadness and happiness but it is so beautiful that we can spend all day listening to this music and we never get tired or bored . I grew up in the best ERA, from 8th grade on 57 and high school 61. My sister was 1 year younger, we did the dishes every night with the radio on WJJD, Chicago played all the good music. We would practice all our dance steps in the kitchen where we could dance perfectly together. We loved to "jitterbug" most girls danced with other girls because most of the guys didn't want to dance or even try to learn. The music we had was great Rock N Roll.

Listening to these songs sure brings back wonderful memories. Those sure were wonderful times. I'm 73 and danced to these songs. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time to the 60's. It was an amazing time.

I'm going to be 62 now and this was the kind of music I grew up with and still love/prefer. Words are much more respectful, clearer and meaningful and music is easy on the ears compared to today's songs/music. Thank you for sharing the songs.
I'm 67 now and worked in a record shop and enjoy the old music as time went by and I enjoy some of the music that's today but I am one that enjoy Jazz and all music
My favorite songs and favorite years of growing up in these times born in the late 40’s songs have lots of memories for my family-my father played classic music on his violin. My brothers 7 of them and myself -we have lots of oldies and dance to them ..Oh how beautiful life was in those years .
So you ar older than me correct or not. Jackie Chandler Sr is the same age as I am sure of this tr. EDD McCoy's never not once ever called me back not even once . So if things doesn't get better for me I am going to just move on to live with my Daughter and my Son is what I will do because I am tired of being alone and for what. I deserve a little happiness instead of feeling desearted and not wanted by any one that I try to contact or not even for anything. I deserve better than what I have been through hard times by myself except for my Daughter and niece who has been helping me with things that I should have had some one else who was supposed to care. I shouldn't have to worry alone and I never have any one else who has tried to help me . I guess some people just don't care about me enough to even come to see me at all right.

😢 my goodness I’m 71 years old. This brings back so many memories this music does. I love it. I’m like the others. It brings tears to my eyes them where the good old days. I’m like everybody else I can’t dance anymore. My bones won’t let me.
I enjoy 50s and 60s music. Even some of the young say they enjoy it more than contemporary music. The Melodies are flowing and words simple and easy to understand. Very special. Thank you for giving me this beautiful music.

Yes these are truly EVERGREEN SONGS and I grew up with an uncle who ll make us sit around his record turn-table after dinner every night and listen to all these songs which until today, I just love them so much and can listen to them repeatedly and not get fed-up.
Remembering these songs, brings back sweet memories. I loved to dance to them all. My honey and I used to dance to them, and I long for his holding me tight during the slow ones. My kids and grandkids know a few, but they ask me what it was like in the olden days....Being almost 78, I guess that may be a valid question. Love this music. Thank you fro sharing.

This music spoke to our hearts with a promise of a better future coming still reeling from ww11and the Korean War, a time of true patriotism, love of country and decency, unlike today where radical politicians spew disunity.
Those were the days of honesty, honor, love of country and fellow man. I don't recognize the morals that we were brought up on anymore. People respected their neighbors and their neighbors property. I don't believe we should have to share everything such as our personal photos. I have been the victim of companies who we subscribe to for communications. What gives them the right to invade our personal lives and steal from our devices?????? And I also speak to internet companies who try to steal identities and bully and harrass individuals. I won't name them, but you know who you are!!! I won't be sad to exit this world!!!!!!
I grew up in Oz so I can only say what I felt during the 60's and 70's. It’s impossible to pin down '70s music as any one particular thing. Across the U.S. the UK, and Australia, folk and protest songs evolved alongside rock, funk, R&B, pop, and soul, while genres such as punk, disco, electronic, and hip-hop arrived on the scene. I remember when I got my first cassette player in my car. Great memories indeed, thank you.
I was brought up on this music, having been born in 1955. My favourite singer is Elvis Presley. Even today at weddings and parties this music still gets people, young and old, up on the dance floor. 1970’s was also good.
All these songs made me dream too and still doo T am 85 and often listened to Radio Luxemburg "The station of the Stars- All the best to young people around 70 and others too

Lost my youth to these songs. Came home to a country that hated me and the men I served with. Only thing that came out of this time in my life was this music that got us through.

Thank you very much Music for Memory!!! I enjoyed listening to all the songs specially the love songs!!! I also love to sing up to the present. I am now a Senior Citizen and 78 years old. In my younger years I competed in singing contests and won most them - community fiestas, television singing contests, most notably ABS-CBN’s “Student Canteen” Monthly Final of June 1964. However, I did not pursue singing as my career. Instead I took up Accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines. Now I am retired and still enjoy singing. Again, thank you very much for your Music!!!
All these songs belong to my teen years, when I first fell in love so they bring back those sweet memories. Althoug there are many performers and songs that don't appear in this list like Green Door, Que Sera Sera and Harry Belafonte and that singer who interpreted Rough Riders On The Sky and many others.
I always stood by my old music. Lyricists, musicians dedicated everything 4 d people not cause of money but 4 d love affection. Today's celebrities ( greedy)learn from them and try to give at least good, if not d Best . Thanks

I grew up in the best ERA, from 8th grade on 57 and high school 61. My sister was 1 year younger, we did the dishes every night with the radio on WJJD, Chicago played all the good music. We would practice all our dance steps in the kitchen where we could dance perfectly together. We loved to "jitterbug" most girls danced with other girls because most of the guys didn't want to dance or even try to learn. The music we had was great Rock N Roll.

Listening to these songs sure brings back wonderful memories. Those sure were wonderful times. I'm 73 and danced to these songs. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time to the 60's. It was an amazing time.

So you ar older than me correct or not. Jackie Chandler Sr is the same age as I am sure of this tr. EDD McCoy's never not once ever called me back not even once . So if things doesn't get better for me I am going to just move on to live with my Daughter and my Son is what I will do because I am tired of being alone and for what. I deserve a little happiness instead of feeling desearted and not wanted by any one that I try to contact or not even for anything. I deserve better than what I have been through hard times by myself except for my Daughter and niece who has been helping me with things that I should have had some one else who was supposed to care. I shouldn't have to worry alone and I never have any one else who has tried to help me . I guess some people just don't care about me enough to even come to see me at all right.

Remembering these songs, brings back sweet memories. I loved to dance to them all. My honey and I used to dance to them, and I long for his holding me tight during the slow ones. My kids and grandkids know a few, but they ask me what it was like in the olden days....Being almost 78, I guess that may be a valid question. Love this music. Thank you fro sharing.

This music spoke to our hearts with a promise of a better future coming still reeling from ww11and the Korean War, a time of true patriotism, love of country and decency, unlike today where radical politicians spew disunity.
Those were the days of honesty, honor, love of country and fellow man. I don't recognize the morals that we were brought up on anymore. People respected their neighbors and their neighbors property. I don't believe we should have to share everything such as our personal photos. I have been the victim of companies who we subscribe to for communications. What gives them the right to invade our personal lives and steal from our devices?????? And I also speak to internet companies who try to steal identities and bully and harrass individuals. I won't name them, but you know who you are!!! I won't be sad to exit this world!!!!!!
I grew up in Oz so I can only say what I felt during the 60's and 70's. It’s impossible to pin down '70s music as any one particular thing. Across the U.S. the UK, and Australia, folk and protest songs evolved alongside rock, funk, R&B, pop, and soul, while genres such as punk, disco, electronic, and hip-hop arrived on the scene. I remember when I got my first cassette player in my car. Great memories indeed, thank you.

I also love to sing up to the present. I am now a Senior Citizen and 78 years old.
In my younger years I competed in singing contests and won most them - community fiestas, television singing contests, most notably ABS-CBN’s “Student Canteen” Monthly Final of June 1964.
However, I did not pursue singing as my career. Instead I took up Accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines.
Now I am retired and still enjoy singing.
