Day 22: We finally got this train running, Edward said it would like run for awhile but he's always unsure. Vera's got doubts that the engine will run for a while with the slight lean we had to the fuel. Still, we're finally on the rails, and move. Map says there should be a railyard in the next state, we'll resupply and maybe add a few more cars. The line indicators say that the lines are clear but no real way to know. Honestly, I'm just glad Luna can sleep in peace now. She's right next to me, but I got the next watch soon. I only hope this thing doesn't break down, been hearing some things over radio the past weeks. Jacobs here, my time to resume watch.
The weather has been long for a few days, as if each of them lasted twice as long as they should. I feel pretty good here, at the front of the train. I like to watch the horizon while I imagine what little Luna can dream about. She fell asleep shortly after we boarded the train. No wonder considering what she had to go through. She is our lantern in this world of darkness, and every day I pray that she will never go out. Losing its glow would mean losing ourselves, and I know that neither Jacob nor I could face the darkness without it. Speaking of him, I think he's fine. He writes something in this notebook that never leaves him, and even if I admit to being curious to know what he writes there almost every evening for 2 weeks, I respect his privacy, so I don't touch it. Who knows? I may learn one day that's what drives him to blacken his pages, but for now, only our safety matters to me. The rails parade like shiny snakes in front of me, I have the impression, when I close my eyes, that they are guiding us towards something that I no longer hope for on pain of fainting. We will soon arrive at the state line and I am crossing my fingers that things will be different there... As I hear, I watch the future with a keen, almost mad eye for the mysteries lurking in the mist. The discovery of this train seems like a miracle to us… let's hope this isn't our last trip. I’m Edward, this is my last record.
Day 24 finally we've reached the border of state line I hope we can last longer than the other survivors maybe we can start a new life in there I I hope those zombies don't attack the borders Edward is sick we've run out of some medical supplies I think our team is getting sent outside to find some supplies I don't know about Jacob is acting mysterious lately this is this is guard 24 speaking
Always wondered if a train would draw too much attention in a zombie apocalypse. Eventually you'll need to stop either for supplies or fuel and I figured the noise would attract the locals
Not to mention, you might end up attracting a HUGE following horde... They'd take a while to catch up, but if they keep going in the same direction, they eventually might - this being predicated on the train catching the attention of all zombies in an area as it passes through.
You see what you do is stop before you enter the town, deploy your hunter/gatherers into the town/ city to gather Intel and supplies, hit the Amtrak or equivalent offices for rail maps and layout. Have one team head back with the good's while another heads to an adjacent area to deploy fireworks set off alarms, so everything to attract the Necro wildlife and the train goes ahead while the last of the gatherer's meet them on the other side of the polis to mount up
Not really because u don’t know what type a zombie you dealing with for all u know it slow ass zombie and if they are fast well u won’t be on a train in the first place you would be dead
Lovely stuff! But if left 4 dead 2 has taught me anything, its that train tracks would be completely blocked at every turn by crashed trains and broken bridges. More importantly, all that sound would causes thousands of zombies to come sprinting the moment you stop. Still, sounds incredible!
I think it would vary from place to place. In somewhere like Siberia, for example, you'd be alright. Mind you, in Siberia you'd probably be safe anyway.
I can imagine this being part of a series of evacuees from the overrun cities getting out any way they can, just barely. Here's the train, now I can see a bus, boat, helicopter, maybe even a car that the zeds are ineffectively chasing.
This might sound weird, but it's hard to find ambient noise videos that have any real depth to their sound. Rain is usually just high in pitch (?) and there's nothing deeper than that. This video reaches a really good deep tone/pitch that makes it feel really three dimensional. I hope this doesn't sound too pretentious, thank you for videos!

looking out and seeing some zombies curious of the train rumbling by, the weather beating on the outside as people set up personal spaces and talk about what they want out of their "somewhere they can STAY"... that train will be a haven for a long time probably even when they find a station to clean up it'll get them around and they can probably use it for long distance scavenging... not a foreign concept... people have done similar in videogames as a few of the younger people in the group reminisce and work to replicate the strategy to mount a defense and to build spaces to fight to get the world back
Trains in a zombie apocaplyse are actually a good bet. The only thing you'd have to worry about it the traps that people put ahead of you, no need to worry about the undead. Could it attract a horde? Yeah. but the chances of them sneaking up on you is slim. And there's always the option to just keep going until there's nothing keeping you going anymore. Even stationary a train would make for a decent shelter as long as the windows aren't too low to the ground, only perhaps rivaled by a tank or an APC if you're in a relatively cool area and they still work. About the only thing safer would probably be a boat.
One of the last trains out of an increasingly-unstable small city on the outskirts of the infection epicenter. Within hours, vigilante groups would begin to sabotage the bridges and overpasses leading out of the city with improvised explosives in a desperate attempt to slow the tide of infected.
Michael sat on the seat staring off into space his heart still racing his grip on his rifle so tight his knuckles had long since turned white. One bite that’s all it took, one solitary bite, or a cup of improperly purified water or a splash of infected blood in your eye and months of hard work down the drain forever. He wondered if this was how veterans felt returning from war the worst longest hours of their lives infinitely flashing before their eyes forced to relive them over and over again powerless to change events that had already happened. They’d been part of an ever expanding network of settlements built around or on old world train tracks with each of them pooling their resources to help each other out their communal power generation keeping the tracks going. They only had the one train and he thanked whatever twisted god looked over this dammed land it had been dropping off a shipment of grain ready to be processed into bread or moonshine in town when it all went to hell. One of their hunting teams had just come back but what should have been a lucky coincidence that would have set them up for the winter turned out to be what dammed them. When pressed they swore it was just a harmless scratch and they had already applied antibiotics they lied. The bastard turned in his sleep the rest of his bunk mates were also sleeping and so the outbreak began problem was unlike the movies real zombies were ironically silent as the grave. And so half the settlement died in their sleep he’d gotten up to use the latrine only to see three zombies feasting on the same dude he knew he’d never forget those screams as long as he lived. He’d managed to jump aboard the fleeing train as it was gathering steam he thanked 15 different gods for the movies being right about them being slow. He could feel a fever beginning to come on as well as a developing migraine He wasn’t sick he couldn’t be surely that one zombie as he was getting away had only grazed him right he checked yeah he was just paranoid. Yeah that was it he just needed sleep.
I would rather stop the train at night and move during daylight... night is the scariest and dangerous time to move during zombie apocalypse...you will trigger zombies or bad peoples with the light and sounds
Nice ambiance to this, something that gives a respite of safety for now. But if I’m being honest it would’ve also been cool if there was a part where the train plows through a hoard as the conductor tells everyone to hold on over the intercom and all their blood and meaty chunks splatter against the sides as the groans of the hoard that didn’t get hit just pass by. Maybe next time if such a thing is possible.
Day 122 This trip is not as easy as we thought. We don't know for how long this train is going to hold. And the food is almost finished. Sometimes I want to be home with my boyfriend, Ivan. I can't believe that he is... Daniel is getting better after he broke his leg. He has started walking a bit and Robert I can't say the same. This long trip made him feel insecure about life. And Kamilah is trying to find a way out this place. Every time we move we find corpses or even those who are still in movement. Our energy is draining. If someone is reading this letter, I am Ina. And I hope you are ok and all this has finished. Goodbye
Day 24, good news, Edward found a working engine, Edward said put the broken locomotive at the back, when safe he'd have a look at the locomotive, thinks it's just a loose connection, well off we go again, let's hope the track is clear, wish us luck!
"I can't sleep. It's been a long week since we left the city but it's only now that I feel like we're *actually* escaping." "But... I still feel my heart tensing, the adrenaline, it feels too awake to sleep. Too anxious to close my eyes." "I wonder if the feeling will ever go away."

I like to think you and your group found a rail yard to fortify and then this train is used for long-range supply runs. After a long day of scouting, scavenging, and some close calls you make it back to the train and head to another location to loot. Everyone is tired after the long day and tries to get some sleep.
Journal entry, 19 March 2024: as I'm writing this, I'm gazing out the windows, watching the countryside go past. Its kind of calming, seeing how much distance we're putting between ourselves and the city. Last day on the outskirts was hectic, I was watching some of the others putting the cars together and getting the whole thing ready to go, another group came back from a last supply run. Then those things started showing up, first a trickle then a flood. Thank God, we had everyone accounted for and all the doors and windows sealed up by the time we got moving. It doesn't bear thinking about, if we'd taken another fifteen minutes...I've volunteered to take the first watch (not sure why we need to be taking watch on the train but old habits etc), the others have crashed. First time in a long time they can just sleep without having to keep an ear out for a moan or the creak of a door opening or anything else. The train seats are uncomfortable, the fluorescent lighting kinda sucks, and it's not quiet from the sounds of the wheels on the tracks, but there's nowhere else I'd rather be right now. Can't wait to make my way down to the other end of the carriage, get under some blankets and just sleep. Sun's almost down. I can see some of them shambling through the trees every now and again. Don't think anywhere's truly safe. But we'll ride this train as long as we can, till it breaks or the line stops or we hit the sea. I'm gonna prop my feet up, enjoy the warmth (its already cold) and try to stay awake. I'll update when I have more.
i feel safer on this train. it’s super cold out and those zombies are lurking in those woods. i’ll do what it takes to keep this train running so others can rest peacefully without having to worry about waking up to defend themselves from a zombie attack.
Day 23,luck ran out, the train stopped, can't go any further, will have to go on foot, not looking forward to it but you've got to do what you've got to do,we might be lucky and find another working loco, setting out, wish me luck!
First I'll try to find the right sounds or make them by myself and then I load them in my DAW. I use the layering technique which is basically just putting different sounds on top of each other to create the specific ambience. There are some great tutorials on youtube if you search for "sound design". You can find lots of royalty free sounds from freesound.org
Day 28. Damn NS for having the worst fleet ever. We barely got out of the yard before the GE ES44AC croaked on us again. We swapped it out for two SD60M triclops locomotives. EMD was always the better choice. We're about an hour from Hernandez. Maybe we'll get lucky and find the railroads CEO executive passenger cars there, idk. All I do know is the front Triclops has no working dynamic brakes, so we’ll see how the rear unit holds up with an 11,400 foot train. At least the Amtrak cars aren't too bad minus a stench in the bathroom from the toilet/blackwater tank we have yet to flush next time we stop. Go figure. Hey at least we just mow all the zombies we run into down. The lead locomotive has a new paint job. Its a dark macaroon
I finally decided to activate the reactor of the train because If we would move the whole time and don't stop they can't get us. It's now day 539 and I am very hungry. The train I found was very damaged no more like completely destroyed. I wonder how I repaired it. Could be the 500 engeneering books I read before the breach of the containment in the facility. Well I think I have just like 10 fuel rods left. Means I have to stop near Berlin. But not the main train station. Do you know how many of these things are waiting for me. Maybe I can make a very risky try to start a trip to save zone 48. If I get there they could send me with a shuttle to the moon Atlas. I hope that they get my destress signal.

looking out and seeing some zombies curious of the train rumbling by, the weather beating on the outside as people set up personal spaces and talk about what they want out of their "somewhere they can STAY"... that train will be a haven for a long time probably even when they find a station to clean up it'll get them around and they can probably use it for long distance scavenging... not a foreign concept... people have done similar in videogames as a few of the younger people in the group reminisce and work to replicate the strategy to mount a defense and to build spaces to fight to get the world back
Trains in a zombie apocaplyse are actually a good bet.
That's true 😎👍
Aightt subbed!!
Thank you. Welcome aboard 😊👍
A BRILLIANT MASTERPIECE.
Thank you, friend for the video! 💯👊😄🔥
Thank you Tenzen 😊👋
I like this idea.
Thanks 😊🙏
One of the last trains out of an increasingly-unstable small city on the outskirts of the infection epicenter. Within hours, vigilante groups would begin to sabotage the bridges and overpasses leading out of the city with improvised explosives in a desperate attempt to slow the tide of infected.
😎👍
Need a POV from the front locomotive. Slightly louder engine sound with the occasional muffled “thunk” coming from the front
Thanks for the cool idea 😊👍
Wow, that's awesome 😎👍
This is my understanding of cosyness😃
But I prefer no music
😎👍
Horror fantasy it is awesome good job.
Thank you 😎👍
I would rather stop the train at night and move during daylight... night is the scariest and dangerous time to move during zombie apocalypse...you will trigger zombies or bad peoples with the light and sounds
That's true 👍
We hit another one. One down, twelve million to go.
Another good one🙂
😎👍
Nice ambiance to this, something that gives a respite of safety for now. But if I’m being honest it would’ve also been cool if there was a part where the train plows through a hoard as the conductor tells everyone to hold on over the intercom and all their blood and meaty chunks splatter against the sides as the groans of the hoard that didn’t get hit just pass by. Maybe next time if such a thing is possible.
Thanks for the cool ideas 😎👍
Day 122
This trip is not as easy as we thought.
Goodbye

I HOPE THAT TRAIN RUNS ON SOLAR POWER
Day 24, good news, Edward found a working engine, Edward said put the broken locomotive at the back, when safe he'd have a look at the locomotive, thinks it's just a loose connection, well off we go again, let's hope the track is clear, wish us luck!
I love these
Awesome, thanks 🫡

"I can't sleep. It's been a long week since we left the city but it's only now that I feel like we're *actually* escaping."
"But... I still feel my heart tensing, the adrenaline, it feels too awake to sleep. Too anxious to close my eyes."
"I wonder if the feeling will ever go away."
This is Rick I was on board a train with other survivors they stopped and sent me to get supplies when I got back the train was gone me and another person I met are heading towards a safe haven don't go west there was somthing load there my friends on the train are going that way please if enyone gets this message don't go west the city here is over run I've seen a few helicopters flie by but I can't get them to land
Se viene el apocalipsis zombie? Por que en California hubo primer caso mpox
this is my favorite one... when i can't sleep , i just listen this and imagine about the situation.... it look like safe and feel very comfortable .... tq. 🥱😴
That's so nice to hear, thanks 😊🙏🌙
I like to think you and your group found a rail yard to fortify and then this train is used for long-range supply runs. After a long day of scouting, scavenging, and some close calls you make it back to the train and head to another location to loot. Everyone is tired after the long day and tries to get some sleep.
😎👍
I'd be more worried about the condition of the tracks than the zombies.
Reminds me of resident evil zero
😎👍
Think it's safer to head out to the country or travel to a safer Bunker?
You're right 😎
What is moving in and out of screen to the far right?
And, I like the music.
I think it's one of the survivors 😅

😎👍
i feel safer on this train. it’s super cold out and those zombies are lurking in those woods. i’ll do what it takes to keep this train running so others can rest peacefully without having to worry about waking up to defend themselves from a zombie attack.
😎👍
What is the next train station?
I'm not sure but I hope it wont be zombie infested
@@UNZEEEN Is it train to Busan?
For ppl who talk about a game with post-apocalyptic train : Metro Exodus, here we are x)

Does anyone know What… uhm, “song” is playing in the background? That eerie tune👀 I need it🤌🏻

Yeah yeah now tedious work is bearable.

Ever since thous freaks started walking...it's been challenging to say the least. But I rather not talk about it...
Thou this train is calming. I rather not get complaint. I'll be off the next stop
😎👍
Day 23,luck ran out, the train stopped, can't go any further, will have to go on foot, not looking forward to it but you've got to do what you've got to do,we might be lucky and find another working loco, setting out, wish me luck!
Awesome 😎👍
We need a survival game like this. With train in world of zombies
That'd be most awesome, too bad I don't know how to code a game ☹️
Ooof bumpy ride
😎👍
Where do they go?
They are trying to find a safe spot
I really wanna use ambience like this for my animations. How do you make the ambience for these?
First I'll try to find the right sounds or make them by myself and then I load them in my DAW. I use the layering technique which is basically just putting different sounds on top of each other to create the specific ambience.
There are some great tutorials on youtube if you search for "sound design". You can find lots of royalty free sounds from freesound.org
@@UNZEEEN thank you man, I appreciate this
What if it just takes your to a station overrrun with zombies
Then it's time to hit the railroad again 🤠
Its amazing 🔥 but can u add zombie low noise and moans else it sounds like a casual train ride.
Thanks 😊🙏 Yeah, it would be better that way 😎
From what game is this sir? It looks fun
It's not a game, I made it from the scratch 😌🙏
@@UNZEEEN amazing, imagine if that was a game, and we play it... That's gonna be badass, cuz the ambient and vibe so perfect
@@UNZEEEN bummer it looks like it could be fun to play, good asmr vid
@@darkmetal2412 thanks, yeah it would be cool to make a game like this 😊
