Not sure if the option was available at the time of publishing this video but you can also right click the Manny/Quinn animation sequence in the content browser, click 'Replace Skeleton' and choose the metahuman skeleton.
You can also enable skeleton compatibility and all animations will also be available. (But, for a more correct result, and for any changes in the pose for the entire set or a specific animation, I would recommend using retarget) otherwise you will then be tormented by correcting some unnatural bend of one finger.
Yes, there are no problems with the animations of the UE5 mannequin. But there are much more animations for the UE4 mannequin. Retargeting will help fix fingers. So UE4 mannequin animations - retargeting, UE5 mannequin animations - import/export.

I was wondering if it's possible to Live Link an Iclone character and then remap the movements that I'm doing to the specific parts of that character (like moving arms,legs etc) into an Unreal Skeleton or Rig?. Like the workflow used to animate metahumans inside Iclone but this time with custom Characters using the UE4 Or UE5 Mannequin Rigs.Thanks in advance. You rock
Bro this is LEGIT, it even works with Terribilis Mixamo converter. After converting the animation just import it to UE5 with the MH skeleton and bam, that's its mayne. Its flawless!
If you have the mixamo converted skeleton then why you need to follow this process? where you can just use the converted mannequin with MH skeleton? never mind I just want to know what are the extra benefits of following this tutorial with Terribilis Mixamo converter?

Tbh retargeting being made more difficult in the past few updates is bullshit. I’d rather rewrite the fucking blueprint in that time as opposed to spending an extra hour now retargeting.

don't go through the time consuming method of retargetting, use this time consuming method instead?
It's not too time-consuming. You just need to export the animation and then import it again. That's all there is to it.
