@@Sifd oh, in that case, I would like to retract my statement earlier, as further evidence has disproved it.
These runs are so interesting. Manlybadasshero pretty much coasted the whole game, couldn't beat the reset mechanic but had an easy time otherwise, yoinked his overpowered card back and straight one shot the moon. Meanwhile you struggled a bit but then beat the bear rush with ease and just coasted the rest of it.
I loved manlys one shot double agent card LMFAO it was so funny to me. But man this run was also so fun and cool
I watched his playthough as well. He is one of the main youtubers I watch.

God, that moment was so dramatic but was also fucking funny/silly at the same time. It's like a nail biting plot twist in a cartoon.
27:35 You were on the right track - the Geck is useful because it's a 0-cost card that you can upgrade. A couple damage buffs and a Bi/Trifurcated Strike sigil and it can be a turn 1 win, then add Airborne on top of that and it's more of less an instant win regardless of when you draw it. Many Lives, Unkillable, and Fledgling are also powerful sigils to add.

I thought this video was click bait at first. You’re insane. Thank you for breaking the game. If you watch just about anyone else’s runs the constant grizzlies are meant to be impassable for story and gameplay purposes.
I played the game again after finishing it for the first time and I defeated those Too fast Too soon before he can even Upload the Video, just didn't expect someone already did it thought I did it first before he uploaded it at the next day. XD I start playing this game while Watching with Manly Badass Hero Video but i stop watching it because I prefer to finish the Actual game to avoid Spoilers and revealing secrets things. XD Thought manlyBadassHero didn't find all the secrets in the game. XD

"Knock on wood" comes from England and has to do with waking up good luck fairies who live in wood in mythology, although it might also have roots in Norse mythology. It's neat to learn that it's crossed over into other languages too. I'm from the u.s., we say it a lot here

Yep, Not dying even once is kinda Achievement you know, I'm stilll trying to finish my Games without dying thought I cannot progress because you really need to die atleast once but I don't like to sacrifice my 6 Perfect Runs without dying thought. XD Maybe I'll let myself die when I filled the door with my Name and Titles. XD
It should be noted that only the death cards that you don't have in your deck will be in that phase.

I imagine the geck is really good because it's a 0 cost card that you can upgrade. Imagine having undying or infinite sacrifice on it. Or even upgrading it's health and damage.
Ohhh? Not Bad, you know about it too. XD I got bunch of Gecks in my deck you know, but putting undying to gecks is not worth it to me anymore unless its my first run or second Run. XD You know why? Because My squirrel has the Undying Trait, why would I put my Geck with undying Effect if I have undying squirrel instead. XD
By the way My strongest Single Card is 14 14 and My Strongest AO damage is 24-27 per Turn. XD

The 14 14 unit is merged Urayuli or Ouroboros sacrificed 13 times? My highest was 11 11 ouroboros with trifurcated strike. In any case I still prefer ouroboros for his growth and it cost 2 less sacrifices too!

XD Example the attack and HP of Ouroboros is 10 10, you can carried over the Ouroboros with the same helath and Power it has in your last game. @@alvinjohnpati9163 The game pretty much breaks once you get the squirrel head totem. Undying Squirrel? Triple blood squirrel? Sacrifices become way too easy.
When you outgame the Game from trying to outgame you on the First Run by making the CUT.
Still impressive how you powered your way thru the moon instead of poisoning or stinking it.

It's definitely possible and might be easy without all mechanics such as bone cards bloating your choices.
Mothman and Scissors are busted so that's one way.
You can also create a strong setup with Ouroboros scaling infinitely.
For example:
Get the black goat, give it unkillable and keep summoning/sacrificing the Ouroboros. It will infinitely scale.
Now the problem is to get Unkillable, as far as I know only Ouroboros and Cockroach (Bone card) can get it and I don't think you can get 2 Ouroboros.
You can also give "dive" to your larva, it will ensure its survival until its final evolution.
@@Shinnouryu Lathland also beat one of the grizzly phases by yoinking an eye and a tooth in succession. It's probably the single easiest way to skip it. Wanna beat the grizzly horde? Simple, don't even fight it, just insta-win the battle lol

The Geck has two uses, one just being that it is essentially an attacking squirrel (and if you manage to get the rebirth, duplication, or cat sigils on it, it essentially becomes a better version of the cat), the second use is that if you're lucky enough to get it as an option when making your death card you can make a 0 cost death card.
You can also imprint Death Cards with Pelt costs.
@@marcusdaloia2974 Yeah pelts are another option for that, but you cant sacrifice pelts so holding onto one for potential death card use isn't all that worth.
another use is if you keep strengthening it using the campfire (if you're lucky or dedicate multiple campfires to it) it can become a powerful card that require no cost to summon.

It would’ve been an ideal play to have sacrificed Black Goat’s 3 blood ability to Child 13.
Child 13, when sacrificed, switches back and force between 0-1 and 2-1 (damage and health.) If Child 13 is sacrificed while at 2 power, it will return to its 0 power state. Which makes it way more strategic than the black cat.
Another way to win is to get bifurcated or trifurcated strike, and then apply death touch to the card + 5 damage other card to it's right. Death touch kills the bear and clears room, then damage finishes. Scissors seem easier to do though
I recommend Hour glass. XD When I did that I over killed that too fast too Soon event thing hahahah Got lot of Golden Tooths. XD I remember I saved up more than 30 Golden tooths or 50 up to the Trapper in 1-2 Maps. XD + Discount that I can only get Golden Pelts. XD 10 of those will do. XD Ohh by the way, a Secret For you that I only one knows. XD Try having the Duplication of pelts like 2 Golden or more pelts and then Fuse the with the Mushroom. XD You will see an Incredible Shocking Event when you do and Go to the Trader, you will see what I mean shocking Cards. XD

I mean, props to you for winning all this situations and unlocking all these secrets, but... Just a little advice - it's better to use more different emojis. I understand that feeling we both have when using a lot of XD's seems to be the optimal solution, but it's actually looks really bothersome for the ones around us. So, my advice - try to use multiple different emojis! =)

*Blue mage actually IS a card you can unlock in Inscryption, but* .... *SPOILERS*
But to unlock it you have to beat the game with all the secrets of the cabin unlocked for the "true ending".
The "True ending" is in quotations because there is actually more bosses after you beat Leshy ( the wild woodsman with the camera ) once you unlocked the secrets of the cabin.
So it's not really the ending of the game, but only of the first chapter of the game xD
Once you beat Leshy you can start a "new game" and fight more bosses.
Doing that lets you unlock two new game mechanics and a bunch of new cards.
The new mechanics are Energy ( kind of like hearthstone mana ) that goes up by 1 every turn and does a full refresh every turn.
And the other is magical gems, magical gems lets you dump your entire hand at once as long as you have the gems on the board.
But to do so you need to play cards who has different colours as effects. ( and the gems themselves has no effect on their own )
Blue mage is a gem card but its honestly not that good, nor is it rare just as he said :P
Hmmmmmm ok I watched some deep playthroughs and I know what the Blue Mage card implies. SPOILERS DOWN
The Blue Mage card is one of the cards that can be combined by the mushroom scientists duo in act 2. They are trying to get their hands on the OLD_DATA by combining varies cards together, Luke's video is probably a hint to that
I saw the coolest "glitch" ever during the fight you first lost. I had em beat...but the game say, no no 😅🤣🤣😂

@@crimsonrebirthbs how did you manage to beat the forced loss fight? Actually, I think I know how to do it. You make an overpowered wolf, with flying and +1 attack. Then, you get a goat from the bottles, sacrifice it for a wolf, put it on the right of the board, and keep blocking the brizzle on the left with squirrles
That can work but regardless, once you're in a winning position, aka where they will normally "concede".. instead(spolier) the game glitches and loads their side of the board with an unstoppable force. Haha u lose.
@@RafaelOliveira-cd9fz I don't recommend the Wolf. XD Wolf has 2 HP and 3 attack and Bears has 4 attack and 6 HP + you cannot use Flight because that Cheating Bears blocks you anyway. XD I recommend the 7 Attack 7 HP Card it insta kill the Bear on first turn. XD
Woah! You actually finished the game in the first attempt 0.0 Feel like you get more out of the game by losing more, but seeing the guys eyes turn red was pretty cool. I hope it means something later.
Also for child 13, if I remember right if you sacrifice it it wakes up and turns into a 2 attack card, but it'll go back to sleep if you sacrifice it again.. and then wake up again when you sacrifice it and so on and so forth.
i cheesed it with the 4 7/7 and stalling with bone units and squirrels on my second try
and let me tell you it was satisfying only until my third attempt did i finish the final boss

I learned about child 13 after I uploaded the vid, doesn't sound that strong to me, especially if compared to the moth, I guess it is an upgrade of the cat at least :P

Regarding your assumptions about some cards being sacrificeable (like pelts or smoke)
There are little signs under attack stat. If it’s crossed dagger it can’t be sacrificed, and can be sacrificed otherwise

@@Sifd Yes. Both "Touch wood" and "Knock on wood" are used if you mentioned a bad thing that you don't want to happen. In the UK at least it's said by the person saying the bad thing, so to use your example you would say "You might die from that, knock on wood"
It's a very common idiom in general.
Knock on wood (or 'touch wood') is a ward against bad outcomes spoken.
For example "I hope he doesn't play a swarm of bears... Knock on wood."
The idea is that speaking something brings it about and touching wood negates it. You have to actually touch wood, though, not just say the phrase.
When you use Child 13 as a 'sacrifice' in a match it changes states from a sleeping 0-1 to a like 2-3 flying creature or something

I like how the game deliberately forces you to lose but still allows you to win through trickery.
You didn't beat the game yet, you have to escape the cabin to enter the next stage of the game. The point is you lose either way because at the end of the run you get framed; you must do multiple runs and solve the puzzles around the room to properly win that stage of the game. In fact you can only win from compensating for mistakes in a bad run.
I didn't say that I beat the game, just the first run :P
And you just need 2 runs to beat the game, the first like the one I did and then you can solve all the puzzles on the second one to go for the next part of the game :P

Scissors are pretty good even the game trying to stop you can be circumvented by scissors
@@andrewgreeb916 Scissors can only help you if you want to defeat the enemy in a Single Space in a Turn. XD Thought I recommend the Hourglass,it gives you 1 Full Turn for yourself and Gives you another card. XD Thought I prefer to crash all of them or Go for Over kill Like 30 Golden tooths in a Single turn. XD
I mostly have 2-3 Hourglass with me most of the time for Flipping Such Unreasonable Draws or Worst event can happen. XD
I preferred seeing someone else be defeated multiple times before getting that ending, it felt more rewarding and hard fought. However, this was a very interesting run as I was curious as well to know if you can beat it first try and I commend you for doing so! Great run, great video ^.^

there's no secret to geck, it is simply perfect the way it is.
don't undervalue the utility of a free card
put the field mice's sigil on that and you've got a ground blocker for every space on the board every turn
Naming mechanics as if having played this before, showing clear signs of not knowing other mechanics, mixed with insane luck and a copious number of misplays, I cannot describe how lucky getting through every unknown is without having any extra information.

Definitely the best player I've seen with this game from any UA-camr so far. You are very thoughtful and pick up on the mechanics very fast. It's cool seeing your skill on this playthrough!
Markiplier and ManlyBadAssHero were very entertaining, but you definitely outplayed both of them.
dispite many tactical mistakes you managed to do the impossible and win on the first try. I was only able to do that after my first playthrough by carefully planning the entire run. Great work learning the game so quickly. Also those scissors saved your bacon from the angler.
Putting Black goat on Child 13 would have given a sacrifice card that attacks after being sacrificed to play another card . It would give three blood when sacrificed and attack after being woken up .
Though black goat with immortality from sacrifices is strong , it can't attack .
Firstly, the cabin isn't randomized so you can look up the answers for everything and get the film role when you get up from the table meaning you can kill Leshy in the first run. Secondly, could you beat the moon without ever getting up from the table in your first run? If you beat all the basic encounters without taking a hit, presumably the game won't introduce you to the candle mechanic meaning you won't have to get up from the table, and then all the other things from outside the table aren't necessary.
People told that
1) the film is actually not there even if you know what to do with the clock (didn't confirm but makes sense, as stinkbug is also not there if you try to open the safe right away)
2) I have been told he cheats more than you can handle at the forced loss tutorial encounter

XD Yep you're right In the locker If you open it in the first run it appears a Giant Poop Inside it + The Clock doesn't let you open it if you don't have that specific eye you need to use to see the Positions of the clock but 1 Thing is sure, you need to die atleast once before you can get the specific eye I'm talking about. XD Yep In tutorial you cannot avoid getting defeated. XD But 1 Thing, you can trigger the secrets right away thought once you can stand up now. XD Thought I bet you dont know what to do in the Painting isn't? XD

Child 13 switches between a 0/1 and a 2/1 each time it's sacrificed
The difference between the cat and child 13 is that child 13 has 2 phases:
Phase 1 (Base)
0 Attack, 1 Hp
Phase 2 (When you sacrifice)
2 attack, 1 Hp, and flying
It goes back and forward when sacrifice (so phase 1 to 2 back to 1 and so on)
I have a question .lets say you have the wolf cub card at the transfer spot can you transfer its abilities to a full grown wolf making it stronger after 1 turn. Or no?
I think it gains 2 health and 1 attack, and the name changes to Elder Wolf. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Yes, it transfers the sigil which is fledgling, which makes them grow in one turn. This works on all cards I believe.

Wasn’t able to beat him first run, but second run was a cakewalk. The grizzlies didn’t stand a chance. Felt real proud of myself.

Well, yes but actually no. Sure, you beat the "final boss" but of course there is so much more to the game. I find beating a single match against the other guy using the power cards 100x harder.
Will see when I get there, I know there is more to be seen but I haven't spoiled myself as to _what_ is to be seen.

"Knock on wood" was originally an english or gaelic phrase which was designed to tell one to be wary of Faerie tricks. That or based around the concepts of sacred wood originating with the Druids. Considering who this character is...it's an EXTREMELY ironic phrase to be said in all regard.

I mean to me the most unbelievable part of this game is the idea that all of it would fit onto one old fashioned hard disk. Those things did not have anywhere near enough storage space for all those graphics and effects.

And yes I would have sacrificed the black goat TO the child, as it powers up when you sacrifice it in combat...But you did not know and you still made a good decision by combining those two sigils.

I know I'm like uber late but I just wanted to give hats off to the devs for preparing for the player to go too fast to learn the mechanics/find story elements while making the interaction based on character personality anyway; Leshy doesn't throw a glitched card that you literally can't break or something else to win, instead throws an ultra powerful board at you that you can still take out if you prepare properly. It gives the nice glitchy jumpscare, deters players from missing mechanics and story elements unless they already know what they're doing, and still leaves the game beatable without dying.

Literally in this video: I do it with 2 different cards and on part 10 I do it again without even scissors so it's definitely not "1 Specific Card".
You just need a few good cards or a strong deck in general.

XD I mostly do Quick Thinking and Strategies what to do specially on Over Killing the eney for bunch of Golden Pelts, but you not XD You just like to win and not thinking about Golden Tooths XD Do you even know Golden Pelts Wolf Pelts And the normal Pelts combined gives you a Full set of Combined singled card in the trader? XD Try it out so you can know but I recommend the Golden Pelts Fusions even atleast one and the rest is going to traded with bunch of Fusion Cards, you will see once you try, I already Find out most of the thing in this game before you do it you know, I'm the first one to finish the Too Fast too soon anyway. XD

Knock on wood is an older term, maybe it's older European thing, I've also used it.
If you sacrifice child 13 for blood it becomes an attacking card, just don't sacrifice again unless you want to revert back to the original form
there is a sigil that says that when a card is removed from the field, it comes back to your hand. using that on geck is a free squirrel every turn. And an imortal geck.

What the ring does: when you reach the end, you get a choice of cards for boons, if you get lucky, theres gonna be a ring boon, if you pick that, you'll get a free boon because you are wearing one

after ending the game (KEEP DANCING LONELY little WIZARD) for the first time on launch day I had the same idea of try to ending the game on the first run, I just put poison on strange larva (to kill the entire bears line on his front, dealing 6 damage to the first bear that has 6 life points and 1 extra damage to the bear behind triggering poison) and used the fire pit to increase 2 life points on it (to have 5 life points and survive a possible bear attack if i get a really bad RNG), I went through all the stages with the bears (unless the first time which is simply impossible with the starting cards) and the moon in ending with just 3 or 4 rounds easily without even needing scissors, just defensive stuff to full the board to prevent attacks and squirrels in pots to rush my exodia, I was also disappointed that I couldn't get the film reel and defeat the patron of the beasts first try :/
i know a french guy that didn't understand that you were supposed to die in the first run and just won the whole thing, his name is bob lennon if you're confortable with french he's wholesome and did a blind playthrough on the game
I actually did it two. It was pretty fun, at the end of the run I had 4 strange larvae. I didnt do the way you did, but I dont speak english good enough to explain what I did.

Just to say about child 13, when you use it to sacrifice in a fight it becomes a 2 power 1 health flying unit
Child 13 becomes a flying combat unit after getting sacrificed once. If you gave it worthy sacrifice from the goat it would be amazing.
There are more ways to surpass the grizzly rush, for those wondering if you want to clear on your own. Any card/item combination that allows you to deal 5 or more damage by attacking one space works. For example, I achieved mine by having a mantis with death touch on space 2 (left to right) and wolf cub with +1 attack that then evolved to wolf, making it have 4 attack, on space 3. After that, I just used pliers to place a damage point, thus only needing 4 damage to win. What happens then is that the mantis attacks first and kills 2 bears, including the one in front of the 4 attack wolf, who just finishes the fight in one shot.
This is a good setup since it requires no rare cards and you just need an item that you get guaranteed in the first run, making it much easier than Sifd's setup to achieve. You just need at least one mantis and one adder (guaranteed, but I would pick the cat on the first choice either way) to show up and one campfire for a wolf/wolf cub.
you probably know by now, but using the Child 13 on the field in a game as the sacrifice makes it evolve into an attack creature next turn.
