I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.
I took a drink at every "if you will". This is my third attempt to finish the video
If I will what? It is a phrase occasionally usd if making an anology, or simile, or odd comparison and then means "If you will allow me some stretch of language" or such. Lots of times it just becomes a substitute for "umm" or "you know" and other such lame thought process stalls.
Quality instruction. And yes, I will.
DuranDuran TreeCare 😂
Lol
I will too 😂
Or will I?
nice video...if you will
Sky news
Hahahaha! Exactly!
@therealnightwriter Haha. Good one.

All alone, if you will.
I will not
I've been cutting for 45 years and learned some good technique here that i will use tomorrow. Thank you for posting.
if YOU have been cutting for THAT long and "learned" new from THIS the YOU are a definite example of a SHORT BUS rider...(S.....L.......O.......W...... learner)
@@davem475 classy comment Dave. What could be more fun than insulting random strangers!
@@davem475 we do a bit of trolling
This tutorial, if you will, was fairly good, if you will.
I learned a whole lot of, if you will, important things to take with me, if you will.
The guy is obviously, if you will, very, if you will, experienced and if you will, knowledgeable.
Looking forward to, if you will, more in the series, if you will.
I knew 2 minutes into this video I was going to have fun reading the comments...laughed my arse off if you will!
Same lol.
"If you will" drinking game! 🍺🍻
Tried it.... call me a cab "if you will"

You’re a cab. If you will.
Came here to say this... me and a coupe friends are now sh!tfaced! :-D

Prepare for alcohol poisoning.
Best video for beginners. Great whiteboard explanation
ya numb wad...HOPE you have GOOD INSURANCE cuz if you think this was "GOOD ADVICE" YOU are DEFINETLY gonna NEED IT !!
You are JUST the kind of a hole that would drop a tree on my house when you f up and that of COURSE would be the LAST DAY of your existence above ground anyway !!
best explanation on proper notch and hinge.
That is a great video. I like the trigger technique he brings up at the end. I'll have to give that a try! Might watch it again if you will.
Seriously. I will, man. You don't have to keep asking.
Mike Backhaus haha my thoughts too. knows his stuff though bless
Went out today and felled an old dead tree in the back yard just as you instructed and it went perfect. My mate watching it was impressed. :) Thx
This is the best I've seen so far. Good and to the point..
Basic tree felling video..
Excellent explanation...
👊😎
Best explanation of how and why to cut a hinge that I've come across. Love my Husqvarna chainsaw, and leaf blower.
Such a clear presentation. I feel like I finally get it now. Thank you for sharing this.
I'm reasonably new to felling trees. I've found this method gives me the greatest amount of control, adaptability and safety.
husqy vids have been very helpful and seeing a company produce something like this tells me they take it seriously, i'm glad i'm a husqy saw owner....just wish i could afford one of your dirt bikes too. lol
Informative video…and fun ! The boys and I took a swig every time he said “if you will” 😅
Unreal instruction from a truly professional man! Thank you for your zest in safety and efficiency . You rock.
Husqvarna is the best all around. Even their instructionals. One suggestion for everyone... ALWAYS CHECK YOUR NUTS ON CLUTCH COVER. even on pro models. I JUST had my 28 inch fall apart mid cut while light milling. Their safety tech 100 percent saved my life/limb. Still an in issue my beloves HUSQVARNA!🙃
Thanks for taking the time to post this video...really helped us out a lot.
Excellent video. So many of the others just show you how to do it but never explain (in detail) why you do it.
Well, he has saws and accessories to sell so it's in his best interest to make videos with thorough good information. Now if only capitalists as a whole actually work this way...
@@nunyabiznis817 agreed, to both of you. ;)
Excellent video! Thank you for your clear, concise explanation and diagrams!
EXCELLENT! Thank you very much for the information. The angle that the tree falls as it intersects earth, is so important. If the gap provided is too shallow there is going to be SNAP! It is that snap has the potential to really suck.
This is one of the best videos I have seen so far on felling a tree safely. Sure, there is much more to cover, but this one really deserves a big thumbs up.
Another excellent tutorial, thorough, detailed, and very helpful. Thank you!
Very useful refresher - thanks for sharing.
Knowledgeable teacher! Thank you.
I literally watched this video to fell my first tree... If you will.
It was a 2-ft diameter oak with a slight back lean... If you will.
My 25-in Stihl ms311 barely cut through... If you will.
I was so confident, if you will, that I called the shot just like babe Ruth. If you will.
I started my back cut and when the saw was in deep enough, I started pounding wedges... If you will.
Cut a little bit, pound a little bit cut a little bit, pound a little bit... If you will.
I felt pretty good about myself when the professional Davey tree service two houses away gave applause.
I had actually had conversation with them before I started and they knew it was my first tree. If you will.
Excellent tutorials. Great Instruction and explanation!
I clicked the like button.....because I will.. thank you for this great informative video!! :)
Thanks very much for posting this. I plan on felling some tall leaning trees tomorrow with my 455 rancher and this was perfect info to help me brush up on proper technique.
I started logging with my 455 a month or 2 ago for a sawmill it's a decent saw, the 350 with a base gasket delete and a ported muffler is lighter and rips just as hard tho
Very clear and very important and helpful tips. Thank you for sharing.
What if I won't?
lmfao..... i just said they should retitle it to. learn to cut trees [if you will]
Steve Cole but you will
If you wont, you shall bugger up the situation and look like a tit..
I guess you can't, I guess you won't, I guess you front, that's why I know my life is out of luck fool
🤣🤣🤣🤣 bro I said the same shit while I was watching this. It made my day to see this comment
Very informative I have been cutting timber for 40 years.I saw a different approach.
+Milton Washington lll I like what you did there.
Enjoyed! Great explanation of reasons for felling cut order and keeping me safer for big felling project ahead this fall.
Very good teaching. Valuable knowledge. Thank you. I am thankful I own a Hushvarna saw.
If you will should be in the end of the description
I know but he really knows what he is doing and knows how to teach us who don't. He may not even realize he is saying that so often. No big deal.
But he doesn't know what he's talking about, he only thinks he does.
HOTSAUCE if you will is a filler when the brain can't keep up with the mouth.
Patrick Christ: But is IS a big deal, if you will.
I did a methods of instruction course in the Army where I was instructed by a very fine instructor, if you will.
Idiosyncrasies are a major fault that blight a lesson and can make the instructor an object of derision, if you will. The students end up gritting their teeth waiting for the next one, instead of concentrating on the lesson, if you will.
If you will.
the link aha too lazy to types so just gives there website
Thanks.. This is all new to me. Just starting out and going on a course in May
Everybody saying stupid stuff about your presentation I don't care how many times you say whatever, that was probably the most informative video I've seen
I used your teachings to fell some trees at my home...Perfect!
I have cut down trees for several years, and your details about felling is really good. There will always be exceptions because the trees now once the trees
Many people who want to cut down trees should have just one day with you in the woods, then there would be many fewer accidents with logging.
That’s awesome information, great teacher
Extremely detailed video...I appreciate it sir
Cool video. Never thought of cutting the hinge first and then backing out. I can see how it is a lot safer to leave that little piece.
I like the way you demonstrated how to cut down a tree safely, and that is the way I was taught to do it years ago. That is a nice video and it should be helpful to all new users to saws.
This is the second time I've watched this vid. Great review. Intend to use it as part of our training session for a crew.
Ive been felling trees for about the length of this video and thus this video has been invaluable to me. I am safer, smarter and stronger now with this knowledge. Lightweight baybayyyy!
Great video
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Very informative.
James Dondanville if you will?
Very nice video! Very informative and clear
Nice job on the info, I like your favorite cut also .
Wow. Great Information. Just what I needed to hear.
Superb explanation. Thank you!
This makes so much sense, thankyou for posting this.
That's alot of info in a short time Thanks
Good teaching. I like using the open face notch. 👍 video
Great video and explanation! Good job and thanks!
Great explanation of the tree felling cut angles
I have watched this and your other (actual felling) video a number of times and found them both to be very useful in clearing my own lot. Thank you.
Two things that I didn't pick up at first was the black 'sighting' line on the saw (which is very useful) but more importantly that the "HOLDING WOOD" is not parallel to the hinge, but cut at an angle to allow the wedge to be placed almost perpendicular to the hinge. I don't think that this is stated or described in your video, but it is shown.
One tree that caused me some indigestion was one that was 2-inches wider that my bar, and so I was left to fish around to match up the plunge cuts.
Yea, trying to match two cuts to meet is a real problem, that I have not yet seen a video describe an answer. Too often we see 'experts' end up with two or three parallel (or not.) back cuts. Sometimes the notch is made with so many cuts that don't meet.
the hinge is the holding wood?
If only 2 inches short your bar should come through on the trigger side. Move to opposite side of tree, insert saw and cut up to the hinge.
@@hiscifi2986 I don't think making several back-cuts impacts the effectiveness of the last one, although if youre felling a leanign you may have to stack wedges on top of each other the get back the elevation last by eating up that wood
@@lazerbeedotcom2630 I would thick you wouldn't want to only leave 2 inches left on one side of a last tree though>? better to not insert the whole bar and cut no more than 70% of the diameter so if doesn't fall before you walk to the other side.. just my assumption
I'd sleep well at night knowing over a million people have viewed this tutorial 💚
Beautiful instruction. Thank you.
Great info thanks.
Great teachings
Very informative! Thank you!
Great video...You have answered so many questions other videos have not....
I watch this over and over, just like this guys teaching
If you will
Thanks for the info. Great explanation.
Amazing course amazing teacher, wish you have more
Great video. Thank you.
Excellent video , thank you
Very good instruction. Thanks. 👍🇬🇧
Wow… I always use the first notch cuts but really like that last hinge solution, I’ve never seen that. I mostly chainsaw mill but when I do any felling I like the idea of being to go over my cuts before the Final Cut. Thanks!
Very clear and informative 👌
Great video! Thanks!
wow, you explained the notch&hinge better than all the many videos that i've watched, even explained measures. so keep using the IF TOU WILL. Use it in all you videos. Its become your mojo. if you will!!
Top video. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! Clear video. Lucaz
Great video learned a LOT !!!!!!!!
EXCELLENT video!!
Awesome thank you very much great video very very helpful 70% notch is the only way I'll fall a tree for now on using the hung methed.thanks again.
Greetings from the Emerald Isle of Ireland 🇮🇪🇮🇪, great video, very helpful, and easy to understand,👍🇮🇪
Learnt a lot from that. Thanks very much.
This guy is sooo knowledgeable and gave a very clear presentation on this subject but I loved your comments regarding his chronic use of .....
“If you Will” ! Gee ... & hear I thought
I was the ONLY person on the planet who gets gets annoyed by such ‘speaking jargon’ like:
. If you will
. Between you & me
. Let me be honest for a moment
. Be that at it may
. Cutting to the chase
. So.. as I was saying
. It is what it is
So from the Media, to Journalists, Politicians, Bar Room chatter, etc...
they all do it but used once would suffice! Ohhh well ..I guess there’s more in life to be annoyed with .. right ? That is... (If you will) !!!! 😜
.
Yes, I will. And thank you for the information
this video is packed of great info
Great video ! Thank you
very good video on falling trees, thank you for the video
Just like a certain video where there's a hundred comments tellin the guy to sharpen his chain, you got all the geniuses here sayin the same thing as each other. Great job, guys. 👏 Now it takes longer to get to the comments with any substance. Thanks! 👍
I like this guy a lot. He's thorough, if you will.
Thank you for the informative video
Excellent video.
i love this job!
