Boeing AH-64 Apache is an twin-turboshaft attack helicopter with a tailwheel-type landing gear arrangement and a tandem cockpit for a crew of two.It is armed with a 30 mm M230 chain gun, AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and Hydra 70 rocket pods. The AH-64 has significant systems redundancy to improve combat survivability.

I'm an Apache mechanic. I love to see them getting their due recognition and respect.
Do they require less maintenance
They require a lot of maintenance. They are one of, if not the, most deadly attack helicopters in the world, and so see a lot of combat. They are also highly computerized and sustain a great deal of vibration, not to mention the standard wear and tear of any helicopter carrying many units of fuel and ordinance. Hope this helps.

Unless I’m missing something here, the Apache first entered operational service in 1986. Thats 37 years ago.
I'm 39, it's 2023... i remember when i was like 12 (or younger) or some shit and my dad said, "yea, they have helicopters now where they have a helmet and they can move their head where ever they want the gun to point." I was like, wtf. Thought to myself, that's a game changer right? Those are conversations of the type with family i never forget. You can just tell it maneuvers well for a helo but it's crazy considering it has so many weapons on board, but to be fair it's quite obvious it has light weapons. Nothing heavy. They made that thing to be light i think. Has a powerful engine i'm sure, but light payload. They'll keep those in active service for years and years like they do the F-15 Eagle. They've done bought a new batch of F-15's and some will think it's a bad decision because they're outdated, but they have engines that are perfect for scrambling. They have great speed, and heavy payload (weapons). They can carry heavy bombs, and they can get there to the target well before any other aircraft... well to be fair... well before most aircraft. You deploy an F-15 to a target, and it's done. I'm not an adrenaline junky but let me get a taste of that seat. I'd get addicted fast.
i was 0311 and theyre my favorite thing in all of military outside of the ac130s, ive also always stated its the only thing i would ever actually be afraid of come at me.
It makes me proud to be Apache and that they named the most monstrous attack helicopter after my people ❤️🔥👊

I've been flying Mi-24s for almost 20 years and now my country is buying an AH-64E and I hope to train for Guardian.
AH64 Apache is deffinitly fear on Battlefield, when Apache decide to gonna come in front of enemies.
This beast is almost indestructible. Even the ones which were hit in combat, with some work can be flown again. I consider it the best war machine for close combat
Proud to say that both of my brother-in-law flew helicopters. One flew apache the other flew black hawk. Now my nephew will be flying fa-18 . My late husband was a gunner in the marines. WOW what a family. Very proud

A10 and apache are like angels for ground forces
Especially A-10 cos it uses depleted uranium in it`s ammo. There is no armor that can stand it when A-10 shoots you and it has missiles also that destroy anything in it`s path. That`s why it`s so scary and troops love it.

i loved this! got the adrenaline rushing through me! now, i see a lot of people asking for a viper, but what about a kiowa video? low level flying through the mountains of afghanistan, hovering behind the trees while surveying its target, communicating with ground forces and indirect fire support. now that is cool!

I'm not sure if this is the best helicopter, but it's certainly one of the most gorgeous of all time!
In the Iraq war it showed that it’s one if not the best attack helicopter in the world, it’s taken many hits before and survived like it’s a scratch. These beasts were the first ones to hit Iraq’s anti air systems, they’re badass.
