Maybe if Rayla had told Callum about wanting to free her family sooner, Callum would’ve known the scroll with the cure on it was important and would’ve held on to it when he first found it, and they could’ve all left before the sun went down!
This episode had me on pins & needles too oml! I wasn't expecting thriller-level suspense from this season. I loved it. Thanks for letting us re-experience it with you, again! I wanna give a shout-out to Karim's VA, Luc Roderique. He also voiced Harrow and, man, the two characters give off totally different vibes and I just love how much of the character his voice performance gives them. Every minute of Karim's dialogue is drippingly regal, determined, and currently filled with righteous frustration. Great acting! Also agree that, while Karim is super dedicated & truly believes in his cause (much like Viren was in the first arc), his interference is quite aggravating. It's because his motivation and goals are so clear tho, that I have a hard time really considering him a villain. He's got a clearer idea of what he wants to accomplish than Viren did; mostly cuz he truly wants to rule for the good of his people vs Viren's reasons mostly being that he's secretly insecure in his abilities and self-worth. I think it's only cuz Karim's actions are really hampering and hurting Janai & the big picture of sustainable & peaceful re-growth, that we as viewers, really get aggravated by him tho. If the writer's had framed him as a main character on the protaganist side of things, vs the antagonist side, we'd probably be at least partially rooting for him to succeed. Narrative perspective is powerful.
It would be cool if a human got the final blow. Those who Aravos is so arrogant in manipulating. I do want Callum to have a gian archmage battle with him, though, once he's realized all of the arcanums. Also maybe a darkmage battle between Viren and Claudia if Claudia doesn't get redeemed
2:37 Rayla deserves that 3:34 Thank you,Amaya. Rayla needed to be called out for what she willingly did to Callum. Choosing for him isn't as good as she thought it was She doesn't get out of the consequences of her actions just because she "didn't mean to" hurt him. She's not a baby, she's old enough to be aware of what she's doing
Rayla should have told Amaya about Aaravos processing Callum which traumatized him to ask her to kill him than she would be spared of Amaya’s berserker mode.
1:38 But still nerdy. 🤓 9:40 You KNOW how serious Amaya is. I think being tricked into getting stuck at that arch was the moment Sol Regem realized how far he's fallen, he didn't already.
Got to admit I kind of feel sorry for Sol Regem after he explained why he wouldn’t be a good leader. And he said that he lost his hope before he lost his sight, which begs the question. What happened to him in the past?
Rayla and Amaya bonding was an unexpected treat. I never realized how similar they were until now.
1:53 You again!?
I was actually caught off-guard when she spoke for the first time.
I cried at that part.
The voice actor did a good job
6:16 I'm Just Glad Rayla Finally Showed Callum The Cursed Coins And That He's Not Angry.
1:53 You again?!
This whole episode had me on edge, I'm glad you reacted to it

Yes and it could have prevent Zubiea from getting bitten and dark magic infected.

A battle between Viren and Claudia would be interesting
Viren doesn't want Claudia to be like him anymore. He wants her to be better than him
Yeah he's changed
2:37 Rayla deserves that

The Nova Blade is similar to a Star Wars’s cross guard lightsaber!

Thing is they had the weapon to destroy Arravos but they imprisoned him instead....hmmm....why?
Season 6 will answer that question.

Season 6 answers why Aavarovs gave dark magic to humans but did you watch it already or need time to catch up?
