Learn how to create a new company with opening balances of the previous financial year in Tally ERP 9. When you migrate from manual accounting to computerized accounting, first of all, you have to create a new company and put opening balances in all the ledgers. You have a previous year's balance sheet, trading account, profit, and loss account, or trial balance ready in this process.
The opening balance is the balance that is brought forward at the beginning of an accounting period from the end of a previous accounting period or when starting out. This also applies when starting a new Company and would like your offline balances to be updated in Tally ERP 9.
In this Tally Tutorial you can learn how to set capital, drawings, current liabilities, bank loan, secured or unsecured loan, current assets, bank account, fixed assets, opening stock, direct expenses, indirect expense balances in books of accounts.
