I main tsintao this update, and I have to say it just takes a little getting used to. Personally, I LOVE what they did with tsintao, the way they differentiated it with other flee-based herbis is subtle but significant. The best way to highlight it is to compare it to other alike dinosaurs. Parasaurolophus is a brutish flee-er. It excels at 1v1 matchups against current carnivores such as Yang and Acro using its lack of weakspots and hardhitting attacks. Its abilities are also combat-oriented, its trumpeteer ability meant to make it so its hard to decipher the head from the tail, to make it harder to land crits. While the kick is meant to break-check predators chasing you from behind. The way it flees is by shrugging off hits and dishing them back out while retreating in a straight line, trying to use fancy footwork and juke out your predators does nothing more then make your hits less impactful. Now how about Gigantoraptor, a lightweight flee-er. It excels at increasing the distance between itself and its predators using its overwhelming speed and average stamina. Its abilities are meant to help it if something gets the jump on it or if it encounters something faster like carno. Its intimidation ability lowering the opponents damage, and its kicking dealing significant fracture. It flees in a straight line, as trying to outturn the opponent not only doesn't work due to its poor turn radius, it also slows it down. Now finally, Tsintaosaurus. Tsintaosaurus, unlike most herbivores, lacks the sheer amount of raw damage typically dealt by its counterparts. It's the same speed as its primary predator, Bistahieversor, but has a lot more stamina (and lacks stamina gamble). So far, it seems like a pretty mid dinosaur from stats alone. Appearing to reach inviability. However, you can see the potential of this dinosaur when you take a closer look. First things first, this thing has a pack limit of 8. Meaning it has one of the largest herd limits in-game. Its colossal groups mixed with the fact each one has nearly as much HP as an acro makes it a force to be reckoned with. Now lets say you're the only tsintao on the server. Well, tsintao has no hated dinosaurs and no dinosaurs hate it. It can hang out with whatever herbi without any debuffs. Now lets say you're the only tsintao on the server, and you don't like the idea of mixpacking and encounter your "worst" matchup, bistah. That's also not a problem, because of a very underutilized thing known as "turning the fuck around". Tsintaosaurus has the same speed as bistah, but has more stamina and a better turn radius. Meaning it can maintain the distance between it and the bistah, and use its superior turn to swerve around trees and other obstacles to lose the bistah. This, mixed with its formidable HP, allows it to cleanly evade the bistah until the tyrannosaur begins to slowing down due to stamina gamble (bistah becomes faster as its stamina gets higher, and slower as its stamina gets lower. This is to emphasize its playstyle as an ambush pursuit predator. Using its beartrap to cripple its prey before running it down for a short distance and taking it down). Even when the bistah is slow and low on stamina, you're hardly even winded.
Tsinto can fight bistah in 1v1 pretty well almost killing bistah but the bistah wins all the time it is funny how people want Tsinto nerf yet be dumb solo bistah players trying to hunt a whole herd of Tsinto
Basically what happened with styra, they wanted to nerf it a lot and only because they tried to hunt a full herd of them or they KOSed them. Strangely enough, all the dinos in this update seem balanced (except for tenonto who is just a straight upgrade from 2 other dinos) so... W update
The event is very polarising, I personally found it challenging but still enjoyable, I can see how others could see it as too difficult, I have finished it and the skins were worth the 8 hours of grinding, also it took a lot less time then the prismatic event.
My opinion is that I really liked this update it's pretty good in my opinion and my fav dino that they added is the Bista I have torvo, acro, yang and so many other good carnis but I thing my main dino will be the Bista bc I enjoyed it more than any other dino. And also ye congratulations on hitting 300subs

idk about torvo getting destoyed as male torvo has about the same heath as spino but yeah first carin apex

i was very happy when they added spino becasue it the first "real" apex carni and its pretty good

Maybe it’s because deino is a semi aqautic and it was added in the rsa update 1 so that’s why they added spino in this one
