placing 1 singular torch in a sky island house is a classic (and good for sectioning off useless i mean less necessary townsfolk to make room for more)
I remember one time, me and a friend made a torture chamber with wooden houses for the party girl, clothier and stylist. Every time they spawned, if they wanted to sit on their chair to do anything (which wasn't the way to do it since the table was like 10 blocks away), they'd have to jump up through a half tunnel made of spikes. Once they sat on the chair, they'd be slowly incinerated by lava. This would cause them to immediately sit back up from the chair, walk around aimlessly (while still burning), and fall back into the first room, where they would endlessly repeat the cycle, with no way out other than 1 tile wide platforms spaced out so they can't escape.
@@KujiArgisia Yeah, at least Terrasteel doesn't jack up the rent, and there were no amenities to not be repaired in the first place. You get what you paid for.

Am I the only one who _hates_ that houses can be "too big"? I was building some cool mushroom house and spent like 30 minutes trying to fill it up as much as possible with furniture but it wasn't enough and had to split it into two houses lol
@@NotSnak The trick is to build them a _bedroom_ that is correct house size, and then you can make the entire rest of the structure whatever. In fact, lots of furniture and crafting surfaces count as "flat surfaces".
