It sounds like Jesse Jackson, therefore maybe "The Living Word" LP. Mr. Wetherall used it (a different Jesse Jackson vocal sample) on the Screamadelica album (Primal Scream.) Mr.Weatherall may have several Jesse Jackson albums, I don't know.
Simon lovechild Use your own judgement and sample all three of those speakers elsewhere on UA-cam. Listen to the way the speaker here says “gotta haaave...”, “joys and soooorrrows...”, “upheaveeals...” and compare them to all three. JJ, MX and definitely MLK don’t have that camp ghetto drawl. JJ and MX are angry, but composed, not louche like this speaker. Also, this has a piano accompaniment - not likely that any of those 3 primarily political speakers would do such a thing.
I don't think any dance music can age well or poorly. It's all very representative of the time and scene and if you like that you'll like it. Some is obviously bad or good but that was true at the time too. I suppose you could say very influential music has aged well?
RIP Andrew 💚🦋

Anyone know where the vocal sample at the beginning comes from?

Simon lovechild It’s neither, and it’s not JJ either.
@@simonlovechild Isn't it James Baldwin?

honestly didn't age well...
It's definitely a product of its time, but I love this 90s prog house sound so I'm not complaining :)
