Great movie ! Warren Beatty is superb . Also top performances from other well known actor's in this portrayal of the Man who visualised what Vegas would become. Superb soundtrack makes for a moody classic.
@@lilj9513 He said those words to get better at speaking he always wanted to be more educated and refined than he really was so he did those silly sentences to improve his speaking ability.
The razor in the bathroom is wrong. Injectors were not invented till the 50's and someone of Benny's stature would have used a first rate barber with a straight razor. But they are right, Benn hated the nickname "bugsy"
The scene makes him seem more menacing and less likable, and the film works well because he has likable qualities. Without this scene, he's likable/ funny/ forgivable throughout.
The only part that I disliked was when he said he wished they could be back on Coney Island eating hot dogs. It seemed an entirely wrong conclusion for the character, and he was never on Coney Island with Virginia Hill.
At first i just liked it, but after doing research on all the characters, I wanted to see it again. This time I felt closer to the people in the movie. Some movies you need to see twice to see the beauty in it. It had hints of truth molded with fiction and a love affair to draw us in. Warren was in love with Bening during the filming. The death scene was laughable-he was first hit in the head then the under the eye, then the body shots followed.
It is comical if you've already seen the edited film. If you've seen him interact with Big Greenie, "Georgie Boy," and The Flamingo, then even the scene with Tibbet is funny too. Bu this first scene is not funny. It's interesting to me the way that audiences react to films based on how they see them the first time, and how Hollywood carefully organizes the experience to make it entertaining.
This film was so romanticized and fictionalized its sort of like a fairy tale. I mean, some people think Virginia Hill was actually one of the plotters who fingered Siegel.
I didn't like it. The actign was good by Keitel, Kinglsey and Benning and Beatty. But the story is so romanticized it is really deceptive. I mean, I understand dramatic license, but, for example, the ending is just ridiculous. She was not even in Vegas. Many people who have studied the case think that she helped set him up. And believe me that is not all.
His physical appearance is far from identical although both were handsome men. I think Beatty captures the charm and energy of Segal. And probably the actor and his character are more alike than we know.
How could they have an actor that looks nothing like him typical hollywood have the actor play ugly ppl except this time Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel is 100 timesmore better looking then Warren beatty just an openion from a 15 year old that has almost the same features as the guy
I understand what you are saying. Warren Beatty isn't ugly, he was just a little to old for the part. Age was starting to catch up with his looks. His acting is phenomenal though.

Moroconi. Maybe he was a favorite of the Mob. He sure was connected to some Mafia style scripts.
He will always be bugsy
“What if you like it?”
“I know I’ll like it.”
“I think I got off on the wrong floor.”
“Better get back on.”

I liked this intro better
Has Beatty given any interviews about Bugsy Siegel?

i dont know, every time i see a movie that's supposed to be about a specific real life person they always get people who are spitting images of them

He was much younger about 38 or 40 at the most

Is this musical track on the soundtrack or available anywhere without the dialogue or audio sounds over it?
They never do.
Japanese BUGSY
Yeah, my bad. Val Kilmer did look alot like Jim Morrison in The Doors. Still, alot of the times, they don't.

May I have a word with you please??? my name is Benjamin Siegel.... Benjamin.....like in the Bible....it's also in my birth certificate......

This actor looks nothing like him
